Description of Work: Brad saved the day!!!!We had another plumbing service leave us stranded with the snake in the bathroom floor and the toilet in the shower with 5 adults and a child in a 1 bathroom house , Brad came to the house at midnight and was able to have the problem fixed by 6 am so the family could enjoy the day.

Description of Work: Butch (Owner) of Four Star came to inspect my drain problem. He was the 5th Plumber that I asked to look after not being happy of comfortable with any other plumber who had quotes or performed work on the issue prior. There was a damaged drain line below my Kitchen sink, but it was hard to tell where exactly the damage was located and how it should be repaired (and from what location to start digging). Butch had the most straight-forward approach and offered a fair price to investigate further with a camera - a discounted rate because he knew that I had already paid another company to camera without final results. When I agreed and asked them to do the investigating, Brad came and did the investigation quickly and thoroughly. It was found that the pipe was definitely broken below the floor and needed a partial replacement. Because the floor had already been opening up by another plumber from the room behind the kitchen sink, they proposed continuing to drill thru the slab from that point as the damaged pipe was just within reach from that point. Butch gave me a quote of $1000 to drill, dig, remove broken cast iron pipe and replace with PVC. He also added an estimate of $150-$175 to do the concrete work to fill back in the area chipped out (which was significant because it was a concrete footer.Based on quotes I had already received, this was a fair and honest price I felt and also would do the least amount of damage to my home. Other plumbers wanted to go through the Kitchen floor, rip out cabinets, or re-route the pipe completely meaning there would be trenching done though my floors for lengths of up to 12' affecting 2-3 different rooms in the house.So, feeling comfortable and confident that Butch was treating me right, I accepted the proposal and scheduled the work. Mark came to do the repair. Poor guy jack-hammered and chipped away at that concrete for 6 hours and found the damage, a completely disintegrated section of pipe nearly 2' long. He wasn't sure how he was going to reach the full area to replace it. He called it a day and Butch called to let me know the damage was more than expected and they would have to go thru my Kitchen floor to reach it. I was sad but understood. Butch said he would hold his price. I was appreciative of his offer. On day 2, Mark arrived and I was fully prepared for my Kitchen floor to be ripped apart. He said after thinking about it the night before, he wanted to see if once he removed all the damaged pipe, there would be enough room for him to get the new pipe in without digging up my Kitchen floor. He succeeded. Mark thoroughly inspected the remainder of the pipe with a camera, going in 15-20" and it looked in good condition. He sealed it up, filled in the concrete, and my Kitchen sink drains like it never has before in 3 years of living in my 45 year old house. Note to self- Never buy a house with cast iron pipes again.

They snaked the drain and cleared it so the water was moving freely again. 2 days later it happened again. Once again they came promptly. This time they went upon the roof and ran a camera deep into the line. There were roots in my drain. They cleaned them out. A couple of weeks later it happened again. They came immediately. They sent their camera further into my drain. Roots further down. This time they snaked it and cleaned them out. They they made a trip to their supplier and got 2 bottles of root cleaner to kill the roots. They used one bottle and left me the other other one for use at a further date should I need it as my home is an older home.
