Recently purchased home. Needed education and checkout on alarm system and also update to cellular monitoring. DeHart handled both very reasonably and in a very prompt fashion. They were always on time and very responsive to some of my and quot;stupidand quot; issues. I would highly recommend Matt and Keith!

We checked with several companies and Dehart had the best value. The system is excellent and the technology first class. Great price and quality. Their customer service is the best. The sales department is by far the most professional we talked with. Highly recommend this company.

The sales guy was nice- but that is as far as it went. The entire staff was not knowledgable on up to date products. We actually had to ask about monitoring systems from ipads, phones, etc. as well as being able to adjust the systems. It seemed they had no clue technology like that existed. And they are supposed to be experts?

I am a small local business, and I do my best to employ other local businesses whenever possible. In this case, it was a mistake for several reasons. I hope this helps someone else. 1. I was never offered cellular back-up for my alarm system, nor was it explained to me that without such protection, the system would not work if the phone lines were cut. A few months after I moved in here, this strip mall was broken into, and the thieves cut both the phone and cable lines. When I arrived in the morning and called the office to find out why my alarm had not gone off, I was informed that I hadn’t asked for the wireless back-up service. This was my first security system. And this was the first time I had been told that the system was useless without a phone line. Had someone explained it to me, I would have been more than happy to add wireless back-up. I cannot ask for a service I am unaware of. At the time, I asked to be released from my contract because of these omissions. Matt informed me that I was stuck until my contract ran out. I then told him to consider this my notice, because I would not stay with the company any longer than I absolutely had to. 2. When the system was installed, the technician had to return to swap out the motion detector for a different one. He was in the store less than five minutes. He got up there, took the old one down, slapped a new one up, and off he went. It was only recently, while having a friend who does private security work look over my system in preparation for interviewing new alarm companies, that I discovered it had never been focused and an intruder would have to be 8 and frac12; ft. tall in order to set it off. We could only get the light to go on by standing on a ladder. So for an entire year, I did not have a usable motion detector. Again, I had never been instructed in the proper use of the equipment, or told that I needed to check periodically that the detector was lighting up in order to assure the equipment was working properly. 3. The main panel and the key pad were both located in the bathroom at the rear of the store when I rented the space, and they never suggested that another location might be better. The main panel did not have a lock, and my friend pointed out that a potential burglar could visit my store, ask to use the bathroom, disengage the system, and return later to rob me, all without my ever knowing it. The rep for my new company did notice these issues, and they have replaced the box with one that locks, and have relocated the key pad to the front of the store. 4. While installing their equipment, the new technician pointed out that your installer had never done something called line seizure, which I understand makes the alarm the first item attached to the phone line so that a signal cannot be thwarted by engaging another piece of equipment on that line. Any one of these issues would be a matter of concern to a customer. Having so many things wrong is unconscionable. I’m not sure what exactly I was paying for all that time, but I have serious doubts that I would have had any protection at all if there had been another incident.
Description of Work: I signed a one-year contract with them for a monitored alarm system.
