They were always prompt and able to respond with short notice. There was one problem with overbiling and before I could call David called ans said the person on site had computed wrong and he wanted to make sure his original estimate was used. Not often I have had that degree of honesty.

He got the problem fixed. But, it was a rip off.

Because I have used David Gaines Plumbing before (to install a water heater), I contacted them to install a toilet. Before purchasing the toilet, I called and talked to them. They sent me to a plumbing supply store, with instructions to find a toilet there. I found a specific brand, style, color and number. The price there was about $500, before even considering the cost of delivery or installation. So, I went to Home Depot and found the identical item -- brand, style, color, and number - and purchased the item, put it in my truck, and took it to my condo. I then called David Gaines back and asked if they would install it. They answered with a resounding "NO" since I had not purchased it from the plumbing supply store they wanted, they would not install it. They claimed that Home Depot items were not the same as the ones at the plumbing supply store (despite the exact same brand, style, color and number). They refused to talk to me any further. I then called another plumber who came right away and installed my new toilet in under an hour, for under $100. The toilet works perfectly -- no thanks to David Gaines Plumbing. So, for about $350, I got the entire toilet purchased and installed instead of hiring David Gaines who would have cost me twice that for the same job. They may be good, but their exorbitant prices are not worth it.
