asbestos removal
+ -1 moreBefore gutting portions of my house I sampled several materials and submitted them to Custer Environmental by mail to determine if they contained asbestos. The cost for testing was $35 for "3 day turnaround" or $75 for "one day turnaround". I opted for the 3 day turnaround but both times I submitted it took two weeks until I could get results by phone (this includes time spent in the mail). The reports that Custer gave me were complete and thorough. It turns out that there was asbestos in some floor tile mastic and also in the drywall joint compound (including the skim coat). I'm glad I tested this before swinging away with a hammer.
Description of Work: I collected and submitted several samples of construction material to determine if they contained asbestos.
