The roof itself is very nice (except for the unfinished soffits, which I will refer to). However, getting there was painful. The guys ripped off the roof fine, and covered it fine. When the second story required work that was not originally called for, they quoted a really high charge to do the work, so my contractor at the time fixed that part instead. Crowther manufactured the metal, which was not done until maybe a few weeks after the project was started. They brought the metal to our house, dumped it in our front yard, at which point we figured out that they did not provide the color we asked for. They left the wrong metal in our yard for over a month, over the Christmas holidays (and it was a lot of metal). I couldn't walk my dogs in the front yard, and it was really unsightly and annoying. We started this project in October, and by January, we were without a roof, and large piles of the wrong metal sitting in our yard. Finally toward the end of January, they came and removed the metal, and we waited for the new metal to arrive. No apologies to us, nothing. It took until February to get our roof finished, and they did not do the soffits on the back of our house that they were told to do 4 times. The entire time, I was having to relay through my contractor that it would be nice if they didn't let their employees litter my yard with pop bottles, banana peels and chicken wings (which one of my dogs got ahold of - dangerous - and again, no apology whatsoever). They also left metal shavings all over our yard, and had to keep being called out to clean up. We were still finding metal shavings months later that had been left on our roof and rain had moved them into our yard. Now, we are not talking about small shavings, we are talking about large, curved strips of metal - one of which went into my son's foot (good thing he was wearing shoes). With the exception of the (still unfinished) soffits, the roof looks nice. But I would never work with this company again - it was so frustrating, and they really weren't concerned about us at all. I had just gotten out of a nearly 8-month hospital stay, and was still very ill, I didn't need to stress. While I was still finding giant metal shavings in my yard and trying to figure out who could fix the unfinished soffits ( that WERE a part of our contract), they were getting nasty about our final payment. Good thing the roof will last longer than the irritation.
