The company declined to provide an estimate. They advised that yes, they did the original roofing work, but had no interest in doing the repairs. I advised that I was not expecting them to do the work for free (warranty) and that I would pay to have the repair work done. As they did the original roof, they should have been able to rectify the problems. They declined, advising that they did not want to get involved.
Description of Work: Atlantis Roofing did the new construction roof on my home under contract to the Builder. This was in Nov, 2009. I now have leaking valleys in the roof. I asked Atlantis to come out and assess the work that needed to be done and provide an estimate. The sent an estimator out who took a look at the work that needed to be done.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], 1. YES, we declined to provide you with a quote AFTER My salesman spent many hours with you on three separate visits to your home to discuss your roof issues. During these visits you were quite insistent that we consider the repairs needed as warranty work. Once you realized we were not going to warranty the repairs, as we only completed a part of the roof that the previous roofer left incomplete, you demanded discounted pricing for the repairs that needed to be completed. At this point we felt that we would not be a good match for you and respectfully declined to submit a proposal to you. I have 46 photos of the areas that needed repaired. You have broken tiles, flashing issues, gutter issues and rotten fascia, BUT during our visits we never found leaking valleys as you stated above. 2. NO, we did not say we installed original roof. Let me clarify what happened prior to you owning your home. In June of 2009, Atlantis Roofing was contracted to finish the roof at [Member Information Removed] after the previous roofer had abandoned the jobsite after waterproofing and partial tile installation. We installed the remaining uninstalled tiles and repaired any exposed underlayment that had been installed by the previous roofer . We completed the contracted work in July of 2009. WE DID NOT DO THE ORIGINAL ROOF. We just completed the unfinished areas. We provided no warranty to the builder as we could not warranty work performed by another roofer. An F rating to a company that spent hours of time with you to address the issues ( that are NOT due to a failure of workmanship by my company) at your home is not fair. Unfortunately you were misinformed or confused on our responsibility for your roof, but that does not give you the right to publicly defame us. We ask that you contact us directly if you have any further questions and that you edit or remove your review until you have all the accurate information which we are happy to provide to you. I am very satisfied with Atlantis Roofing. Let's face it, a new tile roof is expensive and installation is critical, you don't want some yahoo up there especially given Florida weather. Atlantis was super, the company was polite and responsive, great guys to work with. I called with a question several times during the reroof and Mike was at my door within 15 minutes. They do a lot of work in my community because their work quality is very high. Atlantis uses the best quality roofing materials and installation methods. I highly recommend them.

All of the staff were very professional and easy to work with. The roof was completed quickly and to our satisfaction. Staff checked on multiple occasions to make sure no messes were left in the yard. We are very happy with Atlantis and would recommend them to friends and/or work with them again.

Alex' compensation for an estimated $30,000 plus in property damages was just over $800.00 dollars. Oh, I had one question regarding what appeared to missing gourte by the chimney. The project manager did come out and looked at the area in question, took pictures and said he thought is was ok but he would get back with me. That was a month or so ago -- never heard back.
Description of Work: CAUTION, Atlantis Roofing has many issues. The company recently replaced my residential roof and cause extensive property damage. The companies Atlantis contracted to provided dumpsters for the removal of the old roof cracked the pedestrian sidewalk and the front door walk, broke landscape lighting. And, Atlantis’ roof tile provider Entegra broke and crushed the drive loading the tiles onto the roof. Atlantis claimed they were not responsible for these damages and that I should take my complaints up the vendors they contracted. Atlantis stated they would not compensate us for the damage their vendors caused and said they doubted there vendors would either. The owner/salesperson said it was my problem and that he had similar conversations several times per week and it was covered in the agreement – basically, in the owners mind, relieving Atlantis of any and all culpability and when pushed he lawyers up instantly. The supervisor Atlantis assigned to the project said of the vendors, they’re truck driver that do what they want. He offered as a remedy that if “I” sweep up the broken concrete maybe it would not look so bad and that if we liked the job Atlantis did on the roof we would forget about the damages. In addition this company proved to be unreliable, a month late starting the project and took several months to complete the project. A joke in the neighborhood for being longest roof replacement in history (5 months).

[member name removed], Given your situation, we understand your frustration. However, we have gone above and beyond our responsibilities of a roofing contractor to alleviate this frustration. Your driveway issue is due to age and environment. The beautiful shade oaks that cool your property have damaged the integrity of your driveway. Unfortunately, this has caused the equipment necessary to replace your roof to intensify existing cracks and damage. It is sadly that simple, but upsetting. Please let me clarify the confusion in your latest review. 1. You have a beautiful home that was built in 1992 not 1996. This would make your home and driveway over 20 years old. 2. Upon a simple online search of your home. You will find a half a dozen, or more, before photos of your home. The aerial views are up to 50% obstructed due to the beautiful large oak trees that adorn the front of your home and driveway. 3. The re-roof of your home started March 13th and the Final Inspection was completed on April 30th, not July 1st or five months as you stated. 4. The pedestrian sidewalk is old and cracked from age. 5. Look up the above referenced online photos. As stated the previous response, our vendors took extreme caution and lined your entire driveway and all contact areas with plywood. They made every attempt possible to prevent further damage to your driveway and surrounding walkways. Unfortunately in neighborhoods with mature oak trees this is a common occurrence. No one can prevent heavy equipment from damaging older fractured driveways without mishaps. This is why we reserve the right to refuse responsibility for these types of items. It is a common practice in the roofing and construction industry. Let’s be honest, if there was 30,000.00 dollars in damage to your home your husband would not have accepted the compensation we offered to resurface the small cracks that were created. 6. Your home was started within the dates you were promised at your contract signing. 7. Until this last review, you have given our roofing system a glowing review. Your roof is beautiful and watertight. We have fulfilled every item on your contract. 8. The issue you speak of at your chimney is not a missing tile, but a lead flashing that is installed to prevent water intrusion. This was explained and accepted by your husband last month when our representative visited your home. If this is still an issue, you can contact our offices. We will review the issue with you at your earliest convenience. This is my second rebuttal to your complaints, as your first review was deleted by you, so forgive me for any duplication. Much of this is a matter of public record and can be found by anyone. We are sorry that your expectations were not met where your driveway is concerned. Atlantis is proud of the roof we installed and stand by our contract to you regardless of your review.

Alex did a terrific job. This was a BIG job. House is 20 years old and I noticed leaks on the bathroom ceiling. I got 5 quotes. They have their own employees, not day laborers. Most roofers do not repair roofs of this age, as they get blamed for additional leaks that occur, usually in the "valley". I get it. So I bit the bullet and replaced the roof. Also replace the screen on the pool screen with the contractor they recommended. Needed to get a larger gutter, as rain water flooded my flower bed. Everything went smoothly. Very Professional. I would highly recommend Atlantis Roofing.

Description of Work: Repair roof leak around vent pipe. We are a side by side villa condo assn. |Since we will have to do a total re-roof, I thought this expensive. We will be looking at about $10,000 for the re-roof. They would not schedule an urgent re-roof, so we were kind of stuck with this expensive repair prior to the total job. At least our owner was able to complete interior repairs after the roof was fixed. Expect to re-roof in 2 months

From the beginning Atlantis Roofing and Alex (the owner) were completely professional and dependable. The quote came in as competitive with other companies in the area and once the contract was signed, work began almost immediately. The workers were there on the day promised, on time, and the job lasted the length of time promised (2 days). Our yard was completely cleaned up of debris at the end of the job and we were left only with a beautiful new shiny roof. They even removed our old broken attic fan for us! We definitely couldn't be happier and will recommend this company to everyone we know, will also not hesitate to use them in the future.
