The Family Fence Company was a great company to work with! Our job was quoted the day after we called and the fence was installed the same week. We had a horrible experience with another fence company and they assured us that we would be taken care of....we were.

This detailed description is provided by my son. I recommended Family Fence after they installed an aluminum black fence at my home. I purchased a new home (not moved in yet) and needed to install a fence since the existing one consisted of the 3 neighbor's wood fences in different styles and condition. After contacting Family Fence, their sales rep met me at the home so I could show him what I wanted and explain the work to be done on my neighbor's property. A price and schedule was agreed to that day. Work was scheduled for June 18, 2015. The crew arrived on time and said it would take most of the day to finish. After being notified the work was ready for my approval, I went there shortly after 5:00 to inspect the work. The fence looked very good with the exception of a couple of caps that were missing. I was assured these would be brought out as soon as possible. I was shown the gate operation and how they accommodated the cable/telephone equipment (boxes) in the corner of my property. I also inspected the portion of the neighbor's fence and gate they installed. Unfortunately within a few minutes of the walk through, it was discovered that internet cables to both neighbors had been cut during installation. Since I wasn't living in the house yet, the inconvenience was on my neighbors. The neighbor with Brighthouse had his cable repaired the next day at no charge. However, the other neighbor had a different carrier who charged for all service calls. This was an inconvenience to her and an expense to me. Even though Family Fence reimbursed me for the charge, as a fence company, extra care should be taken to avoid underground cables. Overall the fence is exactly what I wanted, but we had a few problems that diminished my satisfaction of the job.

Our family highly recommends Family Fence Company of Florida Inc. On May 23rd, Family Fence installed a tan vinyl fence along one side of our property. There was an ongoing property dispute that resulted in the replat of three lots in our subdivision. Since the replat was finalized, we wanted to install a fence on one side of our property to clearly distinguish where the new property line was as well as to provide privacy. Our family chose Family Fence based on the extremely favorable customer ratings and Angie?s list awards they won. We visited. Family Fence and spoke with Greg. He helped us pick out the best fence for our needs. He was helpful, respectful and really cared about installing the best fence for us. Greg gave us an estimate that was very reasonable. Jim was sent out the day before the fence installation to finalize all the details. He was very nice, knowledgeable and explained the specifications to us. The next day Jesse and his crew came to install the fence. They were right on time. Jesse explained the installation process and they began working at around 9:30 AM and finished by 1:30 PM. Jesse and his crew were hard working and their patience was amazing. They did an awesome job! Family Fence even called us the next day after the fence installation to check and see if we were satisfied with the fence. Our family is completely satisfied with our new fence. We are so happy to have such a beautiful fence. We love it! We are so grateful to have had Family Fence install our fence. Our experience with Family Fence Company of Florida Inc. is that they are honest, fair priced, punctual, hardworking, nice, dedicated, respectful, knowledgeable and patient. Very professionals. Polite. Quick response and on time. The reason I rated their price a B is because. I think they were pricey on the bigger gate they installed. 64ft fence was $1875 that included a 4 ft gate. But the other gate was $825. I found that part pricey. Would use them again for sure.

Price was good, crew showed up on time and got right to work. Quality materials and workmanship. We did have a SLIGHT snafu when I noticed the framing was sloped from one end to the other (ground slopes that same direction). I went out and inquired why they were following the ground slope (they said to avoid gaps), rather than keeping the top level, and cutting off the bottoms of boards to accommodate the ground slope as needed. Long story short, before I even said "I need you to redo it" (it's 70 feet, so the slope was quite noticeable to my eye), they started unmaking the frame and correcting the issue; they even dug out some earth, rather than cut the bottoms of boards. Now I have a beautiful new, level fence. The mark of a good company is not just how they do when there are no issues, but how they resolve issues when they do arise; and these guys handled the situation like pros. I will likely use them again when I replace my side fencing.

I really appreciate this company. They came out to provide me with an estimate and when we discussed my options and what I wanted, they were very honest in telling me they could not meet what I wanted and even advised on a company the could better meet my needs. While I didn't use them for my fence, I was pleased with their professionalism and honesty.

I called this company and another one I found on Angie's list. The other company didn't call back until a week later, which was not as responsive as I wanted. Family Fence sent out a sales rep who walked the property and provided a written, detailed quote, brochure, and design layout. I told the sales rep that we needed to get approval from our property managers and they said if I wanted, they would submit the application. I decided to submit the application myself since there was an existing issue with one of my neighbors fence and I didn't want a similar problem. Family Fence provided all of the necessary documents to submit and after receiving approval, I called to set up a date. They were available to come out the next day, but we weren't able to do it then since we needed to remove some bushes from the side yard to install the gate. Once the bushes were removed, I called and we set up 4/14/15 in the afternoon. On the evening of the 13th, I got a call and they asked if it was OK to come out in the morning instead of the afternoon. I was fine with that. The two guys arrived around 10:00. I walked the property with Adam and we discussed the best location for the gate and the termination points at the neighbor fences. They started working and finished about 2.5 hours later. We again walked the property to make sure we were satisfied. They guys did an excellent job and I was very pleased. Our dogs are happy too!

They were wonderful and they were good in using our old fence. They gave us discount for paying cash. They are great.

I hired Family Fence to replace a stockade fence bordering the left and right sides of my back yard. I selected them because of the rating on Angie?s list and because the price was good. The gentleman who came out to give me the estimate simply measured the length of each side, and stated that I could have the good side face in or out on the new fence. I selected out (as was the current one), but mentioned that there would be obstacles (in the form of bushes and one neighbor's chain link fence). So on the day of installation, I was out there ready to review the position of sprinkler heads, the property line and other issues, but who arrived was just the four workers with no supervisor. We tried our best to communicate, but language was an issue. The scenario at one point involved him saying that either they would face the good side in or they would move the fence in from the property line by about a foot to get more room to work behind (even though that would block all of my sprinklers). I ended up on the phone with a man at Family Fence who clarified that the fence had to face out because of our local code. I got permission from the neighbor on that side to work from their yard through their chain link fence, we were able to proceed with putting the new fence in the same position as the old one. This was 35 minutes of angst that need not have happened. My only other instruction was to leave a 2 to 3 inch space above the ground at the bottom of the pickets as rainwater tended to puddle along the fence line. All of the 4 workers worked very hard. The pair that constructed the right side did an excellent job. The pair on the left side were not as skilled. They misjudged the slight downward contour of the yard at the back end, and thus slanted the fence height downward too sharply so that in the last three sections the pickets were digging into the dirt at the bottom. I got the worker from the good side and showed him what was happening. His response was that they would dig out some dirt from under the pickets when they were done. Thus the low part of the yard got even lower. The men said goodbye when they left, and I waited for someone from the company to show up. No one came or called the whole rest of that day, and then at the end of the next day, a young man called to inquire about me paying the final half of the charge. When I told him that one side of the fencing was excellent but the other side had some issues and was just OK, he simply responded ?Do you want me to put the charge on your credit card?? I was really surprised that no one came to supervise getting the job started, to oversee the work in progress, to look at the final result. I knew that my dissatisfaction was not of the level that I was going to request having a 24 foot section redone, or ask for a price adjustment, so I did not insist that someone come. But I am really surprised that there was no interest on their part to even see how the job turned out. Good or bad, you?d think it might be informative for them to see. I would not hire them again for that reason.

Nice job, the crew worked hard and very quickly to complete the job in one day. They did come back to adjust the fence around a tree. We were very pleased with the price, product and service.

Family Fence Company was recommended by both Angie?s List and a neighbor so my wife and I were excited to get the process started. We contacted Mike and he arranged to have his crew leader come by to give us the estimate. The crew leader, Jim Wilson, was early and went straight to work. After a few minutes he gave me the quote and also explained how we could get a discount by committing to the project within 30 days. We took advantage of the great price and went forward with the project. My wife had questions pertaining to the install and she called and spoke to Mike. He was extremely polite and professional and put my wife?s worries to rest. The two man crew arrived on time and asked me about the placement of the fence. We went over the details of the install and they got to work. These two gentlemen put up 118 linear feet of fence in less than 6 hours. My wife and I were in awe of the speed in which the fence was erected. More so the quality of the work was impeccable. I would recommend Family Fence Company to anyone looking to get a project completed, professionalism, punctuality, quality at a great price.

Family Fence has been a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful figuring out the best options for us. Since FishHawk only allows us one type of fence, they were very familiar with the HOA paperwork and process, as well as, the type of fence we are able to use. Once we received our approval from our HOA, they installed it the very next day. The crew who installed the fence did a fantastic job arriving on time, polite and cleaned up after themselves. We only have great things to say with the service and product. Almost forgot to mention they also were the best value compared to other fencing company's we called.

Very responsive and had the installers come out the next day after we got the HOA approval. Work went very quickly which made me a little nervous. The end result looks good but there were a few minor issues. The installers decided to lean a section of fence against a very small tree, causing broken branches and effort to prop it back up. The yard was really sloped on both sides of the yard for the gate install, so they had to remove a fair amount of sod and earth so the gate would work properly, leaving quite a mess for me to rectify. Lastly we had a windy storm the next day and 3 caps blew off the fence posts. I put them back and let the company about the tree as well and the next day someone came out and glued the caps all on. The end result is as expected and I was happy with the service overall.

Well at first, there was a communication problem with the office not returning my calls, but that was resolved to my satisfaction and I hired Family Fence to do my fence work. There was some existing fence (single board) that needed replaced and a neighbor fence that needed a new fence installed in front of, on my property. In addition, there were chain link gates (one drive thru and one four foot) to replace as well. The installers arrived promptly and after doing a walk through with me, went right to work. They obviously worked together often and it was a very well coordinated rip out of the old fence and installation of the new. I had selected board on board for both the privacy fence and the two gates (one now four foot and one five foot). All the work was finished and the installed area completely cleaned up in one day. The workmanship of the installers was superior. All the fence is level and true with an excellent appearance. The two gates fit nicely and open and close easily. The installers had to accommodate two trees and their roots, yet still kept the fence level and true. I am very happy with the work Family Fence did for me and would readily hire them again and recommend them to anyone needing fence service.

This was a wonderful experience ! First contact was Friday February 13th. By Friday February 20th we had the completed fence. The installers were thorough, neat, and fast.

I would like to share my recent experience with Family Fence Company. I live in Davenport, Fl, which is between Orlando and Tampa. I have experienced difficulty finding quality Contractors who service this area. I contacted Family Fence Company through Angie's List and inquired if they service my area on 12/30/2014. On 12/31, I received a response from Mike stating that they do service my area. I contacted Family Fence Co. by phone and scheduled an estimate. On 01/06/2015, Jim Wilson from Family Fence Co. arrived at my home to conduct an estimate. Mr. Wilson was patient in answering my questions and concerns. Once the measurements were taken, Mr. Wilson gave me an estimate that also included discounts totaling $300.00 if the work was scheduled within 30 days. Mr. Wilson also provided me with a packet that included a copy of their Pasco County Business License , Liability Insurance, Better Business Bureau Accreditation, and Angie's List Super Service Award. I had done a lot of research on Vinyl/PVC fencing and had a few additional questions. I contacted Mike Kennedy, who is the Owner of Family Fence Co. with those questions. Mr. Kennedy was very prompt in answering all of my questions. I submitted a Land Survey of my Home and my Home Owners Association Architectural Review Committee form to Mr. Kennedy, who then submitted it to my Homeowners Association with the technical details. I also put a deposit down for 50% of the estimate to have the fence materials ordered. I waited for over a week to hear anything from my Homeowners Association regarding the fence approval. Once approval was granted by my Homeowners Association, I contacted Mr. Kennedy who scheduled the appointment for the following week. The day of installation, nobody came at the time that I had believed that we had agreed to. I contacted Mr. Kennedy who stated that he had it scheduled for the following day. Obviously there was a miscommunication and it caused an issue for my Work schedule. Mr. Kennedy made it right and took some money off of the bill, which was much appreciated. On 01/28/2015, two gentlemen arrived at my home at the time that was scheduled. I took them around my home and expressed my concerns regarding the fence installation. The installers worked non-stop until the work was completed. Once the fence was completed, the installers and I did a walk-through of the fence installation. I would highly recommend Family Fence Company to anyone in the Central Florida area. They were very professional and courteous.

Called them on a Wednesday and they had an opening for Thursday. They arrived, ahead of schedule, before 9 o'clock and had the work completed and cleaned up before 2 o'clock in the afternoon. This included haul-away of the old, dilapidated fence, the construction of the new one, and cleanup. They even fixed issues with my fence gate, which I had told them was free of imperfections and did not need replacement. They really could have just slapped it back on with my being accountable for its quality, however, they did not do that. They fixed the fence, mounted it correctly, and even replaced the latch with one that was more ... serviceable. I am sure that I could have gotten my fence replaced for cheaper, but it likely would have been via a fly-by-night, twitchy, shady guy and a handful of day laborers that would not have gotten the work done on time (I imagine coming home to a half completed fence), on budget (oh ... we need $300 more), or as promised. In short, the slightly higher price was WELL WORTH IT. I was very pleased with the work done by Family Fence. I highly recommend them.

They had everything in stock. I had to get approval from my subdivision and they installed that 3 days later. It was convenient for us and our dog.

Went very well. Communications was good, punctuality on day of installation was excellent and follow-up was excellent. They provided the contractor's final release and waiver of lien upon final inspection and full payment. Assured me that if there were any problems they would take care of them.
