This was our second job with Family Fence. About a year ago our neighbor hired them to replace the fence between our yards. We live on the water, and decided to run a fence along the seawall. Since Family Fence did such a good job before, we called them. The price was fair, and they offered us a "repeat customer" discount. The day that they did the installation was blazing hot, and I was really impressed at how hard the guys worked. The job is perfect, they cleaned up everything when they were finished, and we couldn't be happier!

I was so impressed from the estimate down to the installation. My fence was installed in 1 day with perfection. Also, their pricing beat out 3 other fencing companies I received quotes from on my fencing needs.

From the salesman coming with copies of insurance and licenses to give the estimate to the finishing of the fence I give this company an A. They were courteous, professional and prompt..my fence looks great and I would highly recommend them.

They did not tell me they were going to be late until after our appointment was slated to have already begun: at which time I had already driven 30 miles and gotten special permission from work to take a long lunch. They then refused to make it right and meet with me that weekend, further extending my inconvenience. First they claimed it was weather that caused them to stand me up, then later they changed their story that there had been an accident on the highway. Details: Originally had a 12:15 pm appointment with them to meet at the property. They called in the morning and let me know Matt was running late and that the appointment was being moved back 30 minutes to 12:45 which wasn't a problem. I get permission from my job to take a long lunch to get this done and drive 30 miles to the property. I am there at 12:45 and Matt isn't. 15 minutes later he calls and tells me he won't be there for another 45 minutes due to the weather. Putting him an hour behind schedule. I ask to reschedule the appointment for Saturday as they have caused me to drive 60 miles round trip for nothing, they refused and instead offered to meet again 2+ weeks later which is unacceptable. Matt also claimed he could not find the 2nd address I had given him as my house is so new it does not show up in Google, BUT I know the second address which he claims to not have found is in google as I myself use it all the time. They are so "booked solid" they don't care about how they treat new customers.

The fences do look nice and I am so happy to have a privacy fence. But as they say, the devil is in the details. It's been 20 days, and I am still picking up pieces of chain link fence, big screws and nuts in my yard from the job. The crew that installed the fence has a lot of experience doing so, because they worked fast, and put each pole in concrete. But they also had little respect for my yard. They also did not use the correct screws for the drop pole and hinge, just use one size for everything, and that can create a problem with things like the drop poles and the look. I have a nice yard with plants, and it is obvious I put a lot of work into it. I wanted a privacy fence partly to protect my property and told the salesman. The crew arrived about 10 am on the scheduled day. During the work they just dropped a big board on a healthy, upright shrub, one is among a row, and it flattened it out. This is a big plant. They could have propped the board on the truck. If this was the only issue, I would't bother mentioning it. But after a few hours, I was holding my breath. One worker who didn't speak English was bashing away at a part of the fence to be removed and nearly knocked down a canopy pole, they removed poles from concrete to remove the fence and just filled the hole with dirt and leaves and a chunk of discarded concrete. Several of my concrete stepping squares are cracked. The response from the office was a kind of shrug. These are mostly avoidable, and sloppy and lacking in respect for my yard. I stayed inside for a few hours to stay out of their way, but after seeing this I went in and out to try to keep an eye on things. They never did fill the hole with concrete and it is sinking. The office said installing a fence is a "rough" job. But one can do it and still be careful not to damage anything. Nobody came by to see how it was going. When they were finished the first day, one gate opened all the way, but the other only opened halfway. Unfortunately, I didn't ask to open both all the way and didn't discover this until later when I needed to open the gates. I can't believe these guys would just leave it like that. I did call the office and they sent the crew back. They tried to push the pole back and pour in powdered concrete, no mixing, just powder concrete. The drop poles were not installed right because they didn't have the correct screws. The man in the office I spoke with was concerned that all the work be done right and that I be happy. But I don't think this translates to their work crews: the first crew returned too late the next day, then just poured dry concrete into where the gate pole was and pushed it back. Then another crew came out twice. They also seemed reluctant to do much but they did straighten out the gate hinge that became crooked after adjusting the pole. I found what type of screws are needed for the drop poles and bought them. But when they returned they fixed the hinge but said putting in the other screws or new drop poles would put more holes in the fence. It was wearing me out. I have a 6' DD gate that has a gap between the gates, and a hinge that is crooked on the other side, and big silver screws with nuts in black hinges. The company seemed to want to make sure I was pleased, but the crews are reluctant to remedy problems. I got estimates from four fence companies and Family Fence was not the cheapest. But I chose them because they said they do not sub-contract out the work and they had many ratings that are mostly quite good. Family Fence customer service in the office also was very patient with me in deciding the scope of the work, going over various changes and options a number of times. They honored discounts from Angie's List, and scheduling was done within a week after I put down the 50 percent deposit. I just wish that someone who owned the company had come out to look at the job before they signed off. I think part of it is that my fence was viewed as a small job so maybe I didn't get the top crew. I give an A for the quality of the fence and C for the crew they sent me.

Family Fence did a great job installing a new fence for our back yard. We chose them over other companies because of their professionalism, they were licensed & insured, and their price point was reasonable. We were not let down on the install. We requested a wood shadow box style with latice on top, the fence was built on site by friendly installers and the workmanship was top notch. Definitely recommend calling them for a quote.

I highly recommend Family Fence! Mike and his guys were great, did a wonderful job and the price was very reasonable. It's amazing the difference a fresh, new fence makes! They removed the old one and installed the new in one day. Don't go anywhere else to have a fence installed!

From the beginning, our request for a fencing quote was answered with a very friendly call, where an appointment was quickly scheduled. After weeks and weeks of attempting to get other companies to return our calls or online quote requests, we were so relieved to finally have made some progress. Matt came out, as scheduled, and walked our property, asked about our needs/wants, and after crunching numbers in his car for 5-10 minutes, we had a very reasonable, clearly-written quote in hand. Within a few days, we called to confirm the options we wanted, pay our deposit (50% of the total), and were given an install date that was just a couple weeks away. On August 2, the crew showed up about 8:30am to begin removal of our old fencing and install of the new. Those guys worked tirelessly for nearly 12 hours, completing the whole job in just one day--wow! Throughout the day, they were great about communicating and asking questions to clarify what we wanted. The next day, we received a follow-up call to be sure that everything was done to our satisfaction and to finalize the remainder of our payment. We are absolutely thrilled to have the fence completed and couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. If you are looking to install or replace any type of fencing, we highly recommend that you give Family Fence a call!!

All design work, modifications requested by us during the installation, and the installation itself went exceptionally well. All representatives of Family Fence were very professional, polite, and the entire project was done on time and without any issues. I highly recommend them and would definitely use Family Fence again if I needed a fence at another location.

The guys were terrific prompt and the price was great we would absolutely use them again! The fencing looks terrific you can't tell the difference between our old fencing and the one they put up which is great!

Very well. Very good bang for the buck. We shopped around a bit and Family Fence was very reasonable compared to some of the offers we received. Quality is very good. We didn't pay for the board on board, we went with standard picket so we got what we paid for. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fence at a reasonable price with a solid warranty.

I can't say enough good things about Family Fence. They arrived on the day and at the time scheduled. The team was polite, pleasant and very helpful. The job was finished within the day and they cleaned up nicely when they were finished. I highly recommend them.

We received a quick response from Family Fence by phone and scheduled an appointment for the salesperson to give us an estimate. Matt arrived early and measured the fence, discussed our options, and gave us a written quote. Approximately two weeks later, I called to schedule the installation and was immediately given a date that the installers would arrive. Despite inclement weather on the day of installation, the installers arrived and worked throughout the day "between rain drops" to complete the installation. There were no issues from start to finish. Work well done!

He did a great job at the small section of fence and the gate. All is as it should be even now, several year later. However. I tried to call to replace the rest of the fence recently. (5/2016). I scheduled an appointment to get a quote. I was given a time. I waited and nobody showed up. I called the office several times and left messages. No one ever returned my call. As I was initially a satisfied customer, I was disappointed that I could not use Family Fence to complete the rest of the project. After being stood up and no return calls I feel let down as a potential return customer. His work was fine. It is too bad I have to write a bad review some years later.

They were easy to work with, answered questions promptly via the phone and email and accommodated my work schedule for the estimate. Fence was installed in the same day, area cleaned and it looks great.

I was referred to this company by a friend who had found this company on Angie's List and used them herself. The salesman was timely and polite. Phone conversations with company members were always professional and they would return phone calls promptly. There was a bit of a language barrier with the installers. Only 2 installers put up the fence. It was discovered they had only brought 2 gates and had to contact the company to have the third gate delivered while the installation was in progress. I thought it was great that the gate arrived before the installation was completed. It was later discovered that the fence was installed directly on some of my sprinkler heads and one of my lines was completely cut. The sprinkler head where the line was cut was buried in the ground. I didn't know this had happened until months later, when my yard started dying. I tested my sprinkler system to see if the heads needed adjusted, and that's when I noticed the damage. I had to pay $130 to have things moved and repaired. It would have been appropriate for the installers to notify me of the issues during the installation. The sprinkler heads were not hidden, as they had a concrete donut around them. There was no way that the installers did not know they were there. Other than the installation issues. While the fence looks nice, I was a little disappointed with the customer service provided by the installers. I contacted the company and recommended their installers be educated on notifying customers of issues like this as they come up. I also recommended the salesman recommend the customer move sprinklers if there is a chance of them being damaged during fence installation. The person I spoke with provided a contact for someone to fix my sprinkler system who is affordable.

Dealing with Family Fence was positive and a great pleasure. I found them while searching Angie's List for fence companies to close in my back yard with the standard white vinyl 6 foot fencing. The thing that stood out to me the most was the initial contact with Family Fence and dealing with them on the phone. I had received one other estimate prior to Family Fence, from a large home improvement retail store, and the experience was not as good. A gentleman from that particular company came out and not only gave us the estimate but was very pushy to make a sale. I knew that their quality of work would be superb, but I did not like that approach. Family Fence however was the opposite- they left it up to me to set up the installation if I wanted, offering a discount within 30 days of the estimate. Dealing with Family Fence in general was no hassle and easy. The guys were polite on the phone, answered questions and were patient with my Homeowner's Association dragging its feet for approval. Their price was also quite better than the first estimate I had gotten. As far as the work, I am very happy with the finished product. The crew was running quite a bit late the day of installation due to another customer, but they called me and explained and offered to help with the price a little bit (which nobody ever does these days). Them being behind didn't bother me anyways because I could tell they were professional and these things happen. They even sent additional crews to get my job done within the day like they said. The crew members were very nice guys and explained everything to me well, especially the leader on the job. They worked fast but efficiently. I let them do their work, and then when I walked outside upon completion I was very satisfied. The leader took his time to point things out to me and informed me about the warranties and etc. The fence still looks great after a few weeks. A neighbor even asked who installed my fence and I told them the same thing I wrote here. Overall, I would recommend Family Fence to anybody.

Family Fence was WONDERFUL! They were super patient with me as I bounced back and forth between wood and vinyl fencing even with it taking me months to decide. They were very responsive and very professional. I got a four other quotes from other companies. Family Fence was the least expensive and could install quickly. The guys that showed up were timely, worked quickly and did a wonderful job. The new fence looks beautiful and I completely love it! I didn't replace the back section of my current fence yet, but I will definitely be calling them when I do.

The crew came on Friday on time. They removed the old roten wooden fence and installed a new fence. The quality of the new fence was far greater than I expected. The fence was built solidly, and the back 10 ft gate was reinforced with aluminum. I am very pleased with the crew and the look and quality of the fence. The only thing that I thought was not professional, was that I received a call on Tuesday April 12th from Family Fence by an upset man. He thought that I owed half the project $795. When I already paid his worker on the day the fence was built with a check, as was instructed to me by the Family Fence Salesperson. I was upset that I received no apology from him or that he did not check with his crew before calling me. Appart from that incident, I am pleased with the fence, and I will be hiring them again to replace my remaining wooden fences.
