It went well. He wasn't here long, but we are happy that it is done. Peace of mind.
Description of Work: He hooked up our generator before Hurricane Irma. He added a generator cord/plug so it could easily be hooked up if we lose power. He also showed us how to use our generator with our well if the power goes out.

Description of Work: Installed a 3 ton air conditioning system, heat pump new thermostat, and new electrical line and updated/replaced exterior electric meter due to underpowered input. They were in the middle as far as price, but were very responsive and professional. After making the decision to use Jimmy's, they did the job in one day. This job was done at my elderly parents home. They realized the medical need for some sort of cooling so they even brought a small electric generator in order to plug in a fan and have it circulating while the power had to be shut off. They had two teams working in tandem and coordinated well with the power company and each other. One team to install the new AC and the other handling the electric meter and service. They pulled all the needed permits and cleaned up after themselves. There was one small issue several days later and they immediately responded and took care of the problem.

I called the office, told them what I needed done and I waited a week and I told them I still don't have a quote to put in a new AC unit. I used these guys already and I had to put in a 4 ton heat pump system. When I called them back the lady in the office told me they don't know anything about my request. The guy who does estimates was out doing other jobs and filling in for another worker who was ill. So I waited 3 more weeks until I had to call back again. They never gave me an estimate. They're horrible. I'm sitting here trying to schedule their job and meanwhile my roof was almost completed.
Description of Work: I called Jimmy's Electric to give me a quote to straighten out the insulators and the HVAC.

Technicians arrived on time. I showed them the new lights, they took down the old items. Installation went fine. On one of the sconces the screws provided by the manufacturer were not long enough so one of the guys had to go find some. All of the lights were installed in a timely manner and they deducted from their bill the time it took to find the proper screws. The bill was at the rate quoted me, they cleaned up the work site and carried out the old items and boxes for me.
Description of Work: Replaced two wall sconces and two chandeliers in my home.

Called on Monday March 19, 2012 to request repair of AC system. I explained that I had a freon leak and needed them to replace freon and identify leak. First Tech arrived as scheduled, Tuesday afternoon, was not aware of leak and did not bring equipment to test for leak. Replace freon and called office to reschedule visit to determine leak. For the second time I took off work to meet tech to address leak, Wed. morning. Tech injected dye and stated would need to return Monday, March 26th to examine and determine from where the freon was leaking. Wed afternoon the owner called and needed to meet with me that day to receive cash for work performed. The work, added freon and injected dye, leak has not been found. The bill he stated was 515.00. I asked for details: 5 lbs of freon @65.00 per lbs. 80.00 twice for two service calls and 30.00 for dye. I was floored. I called around and found the average price for freon was 30.00 per lbs, dye/leak detection 30.00 and a regular service call 75.00. I did not agree that I should pay for the second call to install the dye since I had explained that I knew I had a leak when I called for service. I also challenged the 5 pounds of freon since the tech did not measure the tank before and after the installation of freon. I also challenge his price per pound. We agreed on 290.00. At that point the owner met me at my home to collect his "Cash". We shook hands and he told me they would be back first thing Monday 26th, to find the leak. Friday morning, March 30th, I was still waiting on a phone call or their return. Friday I called someone else. Fred, the owner of Jimmy's Electric, called on Tuesday April 3, and asked if I still wanted them to come out and see if they could find the leak. I said no, as a matter of fact I was standing at my home with an different contractor who was currently replacing my coil. They found the leak on Friday March 30, and had a new coil to install Tues April 3rd.
Description of Work: Service call to find freon leak, replace freon installed dye. Did not return as promised to find leak.
