Scheduled an appointment for quote to do work. Confirmed appointment and never showed up or returned phone calls. Apparently not interested in repairing flooring as advertised. I assume only interested in new installations

Prompt and efficient! 3 people, including the owner, Scott. Worked like crazy - didn't stop till the job was done. Had most of the floors in my home done, over a 2 day period. 2+ years later, they still look brand new, no lifting or warping. Fitted so tightly together even dust has a difficult time collecting! To say I'm pleased is an understatement.

It went as he said he did over the phone. We receive evaluation and report in timely manner.4

Scott did an amazing job. He was professional, courteous, on time, and very communicative. We had several set backs due to an unexpected flood in the house. Scott accommodated the schedule changes with ease. He was easy to work with and did a beautiful job. The floors look even better than expected and I highly recommend him.

I'm really not sure when I first tried to contact Scott. I was looking for a floor specialist who could install hardwood floors in 2 of our rooms. I had wood floors in the rest of the house and wanted to replace the carpet with wood that would closely match what we already had. After a few phone calls, Scott came out on 11/14/2013 and gave us a quote of $3,707. He said it couldn't be done for about a month which was fine with us. He later told us he was having trouble finding anything to match what we had, since our floors had been installed over 10 years ago. I learned the manufacturer was no longer in business. I continued to call Scott and he suggested I look around for something that may work. I found one place, but he felt they were charging too much and said he would continue to look. After another month or so passed and repeated calls to Scott were not returned, I found D & M Flooring Services. D & M Flooring works with Prosource. They have a large inventory of hardwood floors and we were able to find wood that closely matched our existing floors. The cost was very similar to what Scott quoted. I also had to wait a month or more for D & M to install the floors too, but I think that is what you have to expect from people who do quality work. They are all very busy right now. I think Scott would have done a good job, so I would recommend him. However, if you have a situation like ours, I think it would be better to work with D & M Flooring Services. I also had a hard time getting in touch with Scott from time to time, but I know he was very busy. Our new floors were finally installed on 4/21/14 by D & M Flooring.

Job was never started due to the fact that ours was such a small job Scott could not be bothered to refinish our hardwood floors when we had an appointment. Also did not have the courtesy to even call us back to ever reschedule.

He does good work and gets it done quickly without sacrificing quality.

Don't Call Floors by Scott Polcaro of Mt Dora, you won't get an estimate!!!

This was an excellent experience in working with two men who know their business. I had been told by someone (independent of Angie's List) that Scott is a crafstman and he demonstrated that in every respect. When visiting to give an estimate his explanations of what needed to be done were thorough and things were pointed out that others missed or failed to mentioned. On the morning Scott and Chase started the work, they carefully moved furniture, removed carpeting and tack strips and took everything away for disposal. I was pleased that I didn't have to see carpet and debris put at the end of the driveway. Each morning of the several days that they worked, they arrived promptly and went about the necessary tasks in a professional manner, always cleaning up after their work. All furniture was put back in place with felt pads. The outcome: gorgeous wood flooring throughout impeccably tied in with the exisiting areas that had hardwood. I have no complaints--only praise for the immaculate work done by Scott and Chase. They obviously take their craft seriously and made sure that things were done correctly e.g. leveling floors and the placement of trim to compensate for exisiting quirks of our older home. It was a pleasure having Floors by Scott do work for us and I give them the highest recommendation.

He did a good job. He worked hard and was here when he said he would. He was a hard worker and got a few people with him for the job and they worked hard for 3 days. He came when he said he would, which was unusual and did a good job. Most likely I may not use him again.

The total above includes all costs, including the hardwood floors. Scott's charges are just for his labor etc... You can go to any flooring shop you choose. Scott was absolutely great about giving input on the floor - listen to him - you'll be happier. Don't go choosing just any cheap floor - you generally get what you pay for and you want this purchase to last. He and his crew did a great job. They've installed quite a few homes in my neighborhood - all of whom would hire him again. This is the main reason I hired him. I didn't even bother to interview anyone else (not typical for me) once he came, I spoke with him and he gave me his bid. My floor gave him some grief - Scott made sure it was right. Hire him - you'll be happy and you'll know exactly who is doing your install. You'll also save some money. Scott suggests ProSource for the floors. This is who we used, but honestly we got our pricing from Creative Floor in Casselberry. Our floor was $12 a foot at ProSource and they had it on sale at CF for $6.99 a foot. ProSource matched the price and the process was really very easy - no grief. The beauty of dealing with Scott is there's no padding the cost, you know your installer and you can buy your floor anywhere.

He also did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone. He was very friendly and very happy to do the work that I wanted him to do.

This company was very detail oriented. I loved that. They also cleaned up well after they were done. I did call around for different pricing and they were the best. The quality of the work was excellent.
