Alpha Foundations

The representative turned up on time, and was very pleasant. Unfortunately the sunken concrete is itself cracked, making two small sunken areas, and he advised me that their process wouldn't work well because of that. He also advised me that they had a minimum price per project and it turned out to be much more than I would have expected or been willing to pay for such a small job. I pointed out that I had asked about the possible cost of their work when I initially called the company, and was told then that they couldn't give me any information until the site visit. I do feel that that wasn't helpful, and that the representative's time was wasted.

They were very professiional with their quoting process, flexible to make changes when we ran into a problem and did a good job overall.

Went well but could have had permitting done before starting the job since they had more than a month to get the permits in place.

Well... I had a family emergency at the time my appt was scheduled. So I called to reschedule. No problem. A couple of days prior to my appt Eric called to confirm everything. I was currently driving from another state but confirmed the appt. However, during my drive back I had mechanical issues causing my delayed arrival for my appt. I called Eric to advise of my issues and - well - lets just say I was upset and tired from the entire experience. Eric was absolutely WONDERFUL and UNDERSTANDING of my situation and rescheduled me again! I was so pleasant to speak to he put me at ease when I thought I was falling apart. Well... he came out for my appt (after confirming with me in the AM) and he checked the foundation in the addition as well as the rest of the house. Good news - my foundation is just fine. He was great. Courteous and quick. If I needed foundation repairs - this would be the company I hire. Shows up on time - understanding of 'personal' issues and calls to confirm appt. He answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like I needed a degree to comprehend his answers. Down to earth and very knowledgeable. The company sends out a short bio with a photo of the person coming out to conduct the survey. They provide a booklet that goes over what to expect. This company is THE company!!! You will not be disappointed :)

Excellent - start to finish. Sales team was attentive with great follow-up. Crew was professional, polite and always did what they said. Foundation stabilization is not a very "sexy" home improvement - necessary, but not an aesthetic fix. Making the decision to invest in this was difficult, but we are now able to proceed with additional renovations.

I had some concerns about possible settling of my foundation. I contacted Alpha and they scheduled an inspection. Before the inspection appointment, they mailed some information describing foundation issues, and various solutions. The information was very helpful, and made the presentation after the inspection go more smoothly. After the inspection, they determined I didn't have any foundation damage, but adding some piers for stabilization would prevent it. They reviewed the findings, explained the process, and offered some education about foundation repairs. After taking measurements, the representative showed me a video about the process as well. The estimate for the work was about half of what I anticipated, and the job was scheduled as soon as the permit was obtained. I chose to contact 811 myself to request utility inspections before the digging. The crew accidentally hit a water line while digging, but repaired it right away. I just would have preferred they told me they had cut off my water when it happened, I only found out when I went outside to see how they were doing. Their equipment blew a hydraulic line, and the fluid killed a spot on my grass, but they replaced it with new sod. Overall, I would highly recommend Alpha Foundations, and certainly use them in the future.

They broke one of the pipes for the sprinkler system, but they came back later and repaired it.

The job was done and like any company only time will tell how it was done however the issue is that they are very hard to get a hold of and more so the follow up after the job. I have been trying to get replacement soil delivered for weeks and can't even get a reply. Now I have holes around the piers that are exposed and replacement soil is supposed to be part of the service. I'm scared to see how hard it would be to get in touch with them if something went wrong and needed to try and use the warranty. Not a fan of the customer service and follow through.

The job went well. While I went for a previously scheduled appointment in town, the workers dug appropriate excavations and installed the 6 support anchors. They returned the earth that was removed, back to the dug holes. Plants were regarded and kept from damage by the workers. A slight problem occurred in a house corner regarding restoring the drain pipe set-up for the gutters; it was resolved by the salesperson, without any difficulties in getting it done. Satisfactory job and I would recommend them and/or use this company again if needed.

They did a good job in less than two hours. One joint is still slightly lower than the other but not low enough to trip. I would recommend this company. They were professional, on time and efficient. They solved a hazardous problem for me.

The office staff who scheduled my appointment were most kind and followed up several times prior to the appointment (which was very professional). The estimate provided was fair. The technician arrived on time and was extremely helpful explaining their product/service and his honest recommendation. I am still in the consideration process for this project.

Joshua Griffin of AFS came out to meet with us after the "great rains of July 2013." We had water seeping into our home from between the wall footer and the slab. Our home was built in the mid-70s, and we are surrounded by cypress trees. Duh. We aren't in a flood-zone, and the canal behind our property never breaches. The rain water just didn't go anywhere. We had gutters installed immediately...but could no longer deny the slightly tilting floors here and there. Joshua did some measurements to test the levelness of the house, and we discovered one side had indeed sunk down (like 3 inches in one spot!!!). He laid out our options, schooled us on sinkholes (there aren't any on the Gulf Coast where we live; true sinkholes are formed in limestone...which isn't present until over 100 ft down in regions like this), and informed us of our finance options. I don't know about you, but I don't have $10k just lying around. Sure...we could choose to not fix the issue; but when we decided to sell, we would have to disclose the issue to the potential home buyers. Usually, this results in a 20% deduction in asking price...right off the bat. It isn't rocket science to realize that one must simply do what needs to be done. With the company AFS partners with for financing, we got a great deal (no interest, pay that bad boy off in 12 months...woo hoo!). When the installation crew came out, all was well. There were 6 helical piers installed under the edge of our foundation on one side. As the house was lifted...ever so slowly...the walls and ceiling creaked ominously. Years of repaired cracks opened here and there...now that the walls and corners were square again. Amazing engineering, it was. The piers are attached to these hydraulic-jack-type thingies that are attached to the foundation. Then the holes are filled, and the poly-fill crew is set to arrive the next day. There were issues with a poly-fill crew's truck being out-of-commission, yada, yada. Other customers' jobs were being completed before ours...which is understandable. I would be ticked if someone called to tell me my job had been bumped because they were playing catch-up with someone else. That being said, it really wasn't cool to have a lifted foundation for a week...knowing there were voids under it. When I asked the crew leader if this was okay, as we were having people over that weekend...he replied, "what? like 30 or 40?" I said, "yeah." This wasn't true, but hey...if there's a problem with certain weight limit, I kind of need to know. Whatever. Once the crew arrived, everyone was awesome...even Mr. Personality (see above). They did not stop once...even for the burgers I laid out for them. The job was done perfectly. Warranty is Life on the lifted portion with the helical pier set-up (or 75 years); Warranty is that the lifted portions of poly-fill will not go down more than 1/2" over a five-year period. I say, heck yes. Best $10k I've spent in forever. My home isn't going to sink anymore...now on to the landscaping.

First class outfit. One of the few contractors we have ever used that did everything they said they were going to do. Went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Did not have to "baby sit" them through the repair process. Cleaned up after themselves. A pleasure to work with.

1960 home with floors sagging in the kitchen and bath. Foundation blocks had settled/leaning, due to excessive moisture over the years. Concerned the blocks would fall. The work was completed in 4-6 hours with a 5 year warrantee. The read ahead package provides all the information a person would need to be able to understand the process..

I saw a commercial for concrete leveling a while back and kept the number. Finally found it again and gave them a call. The lady who answer the phone was very personable and said she would get a representative to call me right away. We live approximately two hours away from where they are home based. They do have a representative working my area. He called me within 30 minutes to set up a time to meet to give me and estimate. He arrived on time for the estimate. The estimate I believed was a fair estimate based on the work to be done. We scheduled our service which was about a week out. We were not first on the list for service that day. There was a delay in them coming to the house because of how long it was taking at the previous job, but they called way before their expected arrival to inform me of the delay. They arrived and did the work quickly and professionally. They were friendly and informative about the process as my husband was watching the work in progress. We would highly recommend this company to others.

I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED...The owner Matt did the inspection on Sept 3rd and mailed me the proposal the next day. I accepted and faxed it back on the 7th and on the 10th was told the work could be done on the 13th if that was OK with me. This whole process went so fast I didn't have time to worry about my faulty foundation getting worse. These are extremely nice people and the work{wall} looks great. I know it's a brick wall but it looks great back in its original position. As a result the crew fixed my foundation and I am completely satisfied with the job and highly recommend ASF. Extremely professional staff.

All work performed at quoted price and per the quoted specifications. Team was very professional and established all expectations and answered all questions. Very knowledgable.

The guy was very nice, thorough, answered all of my questions. We were out there and it was broiling hot and he said don't worry that we were outside. He had a portable printer in the truck so he was able to print everything out while he was here.

Employees showed up as planned, work was completed in 5-6 hours. Great clean up and care not to damage our yard or landscape. The crack on the foundation still shows but I was told previous to the job that the crack may not close.

From the very first phone call I placed to this company to the inspection itself, everyone I dealt with was extremely professional. I wish more companies were run in this manner! They sent out useful materials about the inspector and inspection for us to prepare in advance, the inspector placed a confirmation phone call the day before, and showed up on time. The inspector was very honest about what repairs were necessary and which were cosmetic. If we proceed with the repairs, it will definitely be with this company.
