Alpha Foundations

Clint, Hunter and Daniel did a great job. They added six sister joists and steel beams to get our floor back to being level again. We discovered this problem in the middle of a kitchen remodel and were expecting to have this set us way behind schedule. Alpha sent an inspector the next day and the repairs were completed the following week. We were able to stay on schedule and avoid having to pay storage fees for custom cabinets that were scheduled to be delivered. Great job!

Damaged area was patched but not feathered into rest of driveway so patch is very noticeable. All cracks were widened to approx half inch and filled with a poly filler lower than the level of the driveway making the cracks more apparent. Entire driveway was painted, but paint has peeled off all cracks. One of the expansion joints that was supposedly recaulked has weeds growing from it. Our driveway after one year looks worse than it did before the repair work. I feel patch should have been feathered in and cracks should have been filled with mortar to match the level of the rest of the driveway. Also, I had to make several calls to Shawn to try to get something done about the appearance of the driveway. It took a month, and repeated trips by crews to get the job to look somewhat acceptable. Had to listen to complaints that workers weren't getting to redo the work. Now, after one year, our driveway looks terrible.

Very well done and extremely professional from meeting with Jon, and the work done by Kyle, Onickel & Pete. They explained everything along the way, did a fine job and cleaned everything up. Highly recommend Aloha Foundations.

Our family was blessed to find Alpha Foundations and our entire experience with the team has been amazing!!! Talking with Zach during our initial meeting sealed the deal for us because he presented as a person of integrity and he answered all of our questions with patience and kindness and thoroughly explained the process and details regarding the work that was needed for our home. When the work began, the “lifting team” consisting of Tyler, Brandon and Grant were phenomenal! They had great personalities, were cordial and kind, and worked diligently for two days straight for very long hours with a 100+ GA heat index, while maintaining positive, cheerful dispositions. They explained the process and answered all of our questions concerning the process of the pilings being drilled down and the home being lifted. It appeared that they were taking the same type care that they would have if it was their own home. The interior crew, Shane and Flint, were also extremely polite and very detailed explaining how the foam would fill the gap of open space that was created under the home after the lifting process. They were personable and worked consistently throughout the day, only stopping when we asked questions. Overall, this has been a great experience!!! I feel extremely confident in choosing Alpha Foundations. Our family had interviewed two local companies in Ga and then asked Alpha to come from Florida to give us a quote. Alpha Foundations was, by far, the company that soared to the top of the list. They addressed every concern and, not only met, but excelled with every expectation we had from the minute Zach arrived, throughout the entire process of getting our home repaired. Thank you Zach, Tyler, Brandon, Grant, Shane and Flint; you have been a huge blessing to us and we are grateful.

From the time, Ryan and Matt knocked on the door, we felt comfortable. They were kind and courteous and answered every question we had with great detail. They did exemplary work. So impressive. Great manners and strong work ethic.

Luis, our account rep, provided all the information we needed to make the decision on our crawlspace repairs and moisture control. Jordan, Dale, and Garritt worked 3 hard days, in the Florida summer heat, in our crawlspace, to complete the job. Don’t know how they do it but they were cheerful and professional at all times. The crawlspace looks great, my floors aren’t sinking or weak anymore, and they do an excellent job of backing up their product. Wouldn’t recommend most of my contractors to friends, but I’d recommend theses folks to friends and family! Thanks for all you’ve done!

I hope to write another review when it's done. For now: David Premo came out several months ago and gave me an estimate that was well below others. Things came up and I couldn't commit at the time. So I asked for another review of my project. I was hoping and very happy that David was the one coming over today. He's very easy to talk to, and covered every aspect of the project. Then we chatted a bit. Alpha Foundations is very fortunate to have such a wonderful representative.

From the very beginning all the way to completion our experience with Alpha Foundation was top notch. Inspection and estimate with Matt went smooth as he explained what needed to be done and why. Matt was able to schedule our repair quickly to accommodate our schedule. The team that performed the work consisted of Zach, Tyler & Reese. They were professional, polite and courteous throughout the whole process despite having to work in the environment they deal with on a daily basis. There is no doubt that they take pride in what they do. From start to finish, Zach kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and was able to answer any and all questions I had. Without hesitation I would recommend Alpha Foundation.

These are professional and honest people. Danny Flynn, the crew foreman and Dylan Peebles and Ricky came out and finished the job within 2 days. I am extremely satisfied. Foundation damage is serious business and most homeowners may not be aware or underestimate the importance of finding out if your home needs repairs to your foundation. I recommend to call these guys and let them give your house an assessment if you think you may be experiencing damage to your home's foundation which can be in the form of hairline fractures and/or cracks to your walls both inside and outside the home. Clay, the crew supervisor, arrived at the appointed time and introduced his fellow crew members. He checked the inside of the house prior to working on the foundation. We found him to be very knowledgeable, friendly, with a very nice demeanor. We feel that he and his crew are a great asset to the Alpha Foundation Company.

It went very well. Repair was slated for 2 days, completed in 1. The guys were wonderful from the estimate process to the clean up.

We had a difficult job to encapsulate our crawlspace, install a dehumidifier, and install pumps to remove the water produced by the dehumidifier. There was also an issue with the shallow depth of our crawlspace and there being enough room to get material in. We received a boilerplate quote from Gary Merians (design tech) that had references to foundation repairs and lifting on 11/22/19 that left many questions . Their proposal stated "Crawlspace access from inside home only. Small access door between two floor joists. Possibility of of removing part of floor joist and entry door frame to gain access into crawlspace for equipment". Gary was specifically asked 4 different times in emails (writing) if alterations to the access to get the material and equipment in were included. His answer to my emails was yes every time without hesitation. The contract I signed even stated that "Access Adjustment" was included I signed and returned their contract on 12/4/19 and their crew showed up on 12/8/19 to start work. Their "foreman" wasn't able to be present for some reason and the person who seemed to be in charge was a young gentleman that I would estimate was 6'-2" or better and stocky. They had material in their truck and were ready to go to work as scheduled After looking at the access and spending about an hour on the phone, I was told that there was nothing they could do to make the access work. I suggested a new access in a closet and they said that wouldn't work either because the crawlspace was too shallow. Please remember we had a contract I signed here and they agreed to take care of the access. Next, we had to schedule their "lead design tech" Chris Horbaker to come take a look. He said he didn't think access could be made from inside the home either. He and Gary said that for about $2500 more, they had a contractor they thought could create an exterior access. They also reduced their cost by a bit less than 1/2 of this extra $2,500. ($1,140.90) When their contractor got there to look at the work required, his estimate was for $5,875. After talking to Gary and Chris, they refused to pay to have this access created even though I was told it was included. I called either Gary, Chris, Kayla in scheduling, or Kevin in customer care every day between 1/20/20 and 1/24 20 trying to find a solution without being gouged for an extra $5,875. I finally received an email from Chris ("lead design tech") on 1/31/20 stating that they would love to help me if I created and paid for the access they had told me multiple times in emails that was included in the contract. In the end, we went with another service that is based in Brooksville Fla (L.R.E) that also included this access in their proposal. They supplied and installed exactly the same material and equipment. While they were slightly more money, they stepped right up, cut an access in a tile floor in a nearby closet (same as was suggested to Alpha) and built a new access and door. They did an excellent professional job of creating the access and installing the material and equipment. No issues and very professional.

We had Alpha Foundations come out to check the foundation due to minor flooding problems at the back of the house. Jason came to evaluate the situation and determined that the foundation settlement was slightly within the range of suggesting repair. He suggested at least using their expanding foam product for waterproofing. We decided to have both done in order to have the foundation stabilized permanently as well as the needed waterproofing work. Adlai and Terrence did a great job of installing several helical piers at the back of the house. They had to come back multiple times (with no complaints) due to weather problems (excessive rain filling holes before refilling and the need to pour concrete to repair patio where one helical pier was placed) and a city inspection timing problem. (The City of Jacksonville claimed they had no permit information even though I had a printed permit form already on my window with the inspector's name on it.) They did excellent foundation work and were always professional, answered questions, cleaned up after themselves, and even performed small additional functions not normally required. The waterproofing crew also did excellent work - answering questions, cleaning up after themselves, and leaving little evidence of their work of drilling holes in the slab and filling them with expanding foam to level the slab inside as well as placing foam around the area outside for exterior waterproofing. Although the foundation work was expensive, it was worth it due to the superior service provided. In all, the entire Alpha team - from the design tech to customer service, accounting, installation teams, etc. - was professional, courteous, helpful, and did their jobs well!

I was thrilled to learn the situation I had didn’t require extensive work at this time. Brian, the rep here in Jacksonville area, was punctual, thorough and listened to my area of concern then did his inspection. Impressive assessment and while nothing required work by Alpha Foundation at this time he will send me proposal for an area that I will watch and if it worsens I have an idea of what remidial action can be taken.

I have nothing but praise for this group. They were professional in every way. I would hire them again and recommend them with no reservation. The entire thing was beautifully executed from the first call I made to them to the final bill. Many people and organizations could learn a lot from this company.
