Horrible bad job did not edge spray for weeds

Both teams of serviceman were amazing. Very concerned with doing a great job. The tree removal was extremely difficult, but they worked hard to get the roots away from the sprinkler pipes with out damaging them, which none of us though was possible!

Victor and his crew did a quality job, I will be using them again for any irrigation needs. Highy recommended.

It became a "job" trying to work with them to obtain quotes and documentation to submit to our HOA... shouldn't have work so hard to obtain a good contractor... crazy.

Surprisingly, the repairs were quick and painless. All heads and sprinklers were checked and it only cost me $88. Go figure!

Everything went extremely well! We contacted Active (as well as three other landscape companies ) to get an estimate on some work we wanted done in the back yard. All four companies provided estimates and Active's price while not the lowest of the bids, was competitive. What set Active apart was the service provided by Victor. Victor came out to the house the first time to hear what we wanted and to measure etc. When we explained what he had in mind, he pointed out that one of the areas where we wanted pavers would actually make our existing water run off problems worse. He was willing to do the work, but recommended against it. After hearing his explanation it was obvious that he was 100% correct, what we had in mind was not a good idea. He turned down money because it wasn't the right thing to do for us. The other quotes were all willing to let us make a $$ mistake. After that, Victor came back to the house multiple times to make certain that when he was drawing up would look right and go well with our existing layout. He really worked hard to make sure he got it right. His efforts made choosing the quote we wanted to go with a no brainer. He scheduled us quickly, his crew showed on on time, were very courteous and professional and cleaned up after they were done. Despite the fact that the install took longer than Victor anticipated (due to the hard clay soil we have he did) not charge any extra for the labor. I even asked him if he needed to add a bit more for labor and he said no. Again, he could have easily "stuck me" for more money but he chose not to. You have to really appreciate that kind of honesty! We are already planning the next round of improvements we want done. Victor is the only person we will be calling. Great work, on time, reasonably priced and outstanding honesty and integrity. What more can you ask for? One final note, I just realized I left an "average" review on active several years ago for some irrigation work I had them do. Not sure what happened there but as part of the landscaping project this time they also had to modify my irrigation and that all went well too! If I could pull down the old review I would. Couldn't be happier with Active at this point!

After all the glowing reviews I started with the irrigation inspection. This company was responsive, on time, and very courteous. So I decided to hire them for my weekly lawn service. My lawn was struggling, some browning, and patches where grass was dying. There are a few oak trees on my front lawn, so the leaves are a constant battle. Well instead of reversing this death process, Active Lawn expedited it. They will not pick up the leaves. Not once. No bag of leaves has ever left my property in the seven months I've been paying them. They will only blow them off the street and sidewalk right onto your lawn. They are in and out so fast that it's no wonder they do a poor job. Additionally, they have not trimmed or cut any shrub, on my property while I've been using them (which I am paying for). I sent an email to Shari, to address this, and express my unhappiness. She assured me that she would discuss it with her crew. Well it's been two months since, and there has been no change in the poor service. My lawn has completely died. Overcome with weeds, and choked under leaves. Which I also, by the way, pay them for the chemical and fertilizer service. The price of their service is not cheap, and I expect to get what I pay for. My previous service was considerably cheaper and they bagged all the leaves and my lawn was doing much better. I would not recommend Active Lawn to anyone.

GREAT! Tech right on time, introduced himself, explained the service he would perform and went right to work. He found three replacements needed, explained everything to me, got my permission for replacements, and did the work, checked it, and told me when he finished. Very professional. I will certainly recommend them and use them again!

I used Active last September & was so impressed I used them again for my annual checkup yesterday. They met all my expectations again!! Raoul was very professional and helpful with suggestions to maintain my system. I highly recommend this team if you need any work done on your system or just need a checkup. Great experience & reasonable prices!!!

Determined there was a leak in the line and had to call another company to find it. Once found Active came back out and made repairs so now system works correctly.

This is the second time that Active has performed a sprinkler tune-up at my home. This time they sent Dwayne out to perform the assessment. He did a totally thorough check & made necessary adjustments. Every blade of grass on the lawn is now getting a drink when the system is turned on. Dwayne was friendly, courteous, & took the time to explain what he was doing. This $50 service offered by Active may well be the best bargain in the universe - this company rocks!

I have been using active since 2012 and have been very pleased with them up until this point. So I am sad to have to write this very negative review. I have used Active for several years now and have been pleased with them. However, on this last trip everything changed. I scheduled to have a technician come out and move heads and lines to water new sod that is going to be placed. The technician stated that he new nothing about this and that he would need to call the office and find out why he wasn't scheduled for anything but a tune-up. Then he looked down on his paper at the bottom and read a message to the affect of (customer has lines and heads that will need to be moved.) He read this aloud to me. He then said they that if that was written on his paper work then maybe they actually gave him the allotted time to do this job. However he didn't have the appropriate equipment with him so he would do what he could and come back with lines etc... Interesting that he was just then seeing that note. I told him we had been waiting for a couple of weeks to get someone out here and that I am a little aggravated with them that they weren't prepared. He said he would have to call in the office to find out why. After about 15 minutes, Shari from the office called and acted like she had no idea why I had thought her technician was going to do all that I had stated. I told her I spoke with her directly and explained this to her when I made the appointment. She then said I didn't tell her we had just put in a patio and that lines could have been damaged underneath. Well I did explain that to her when I called and that was one reason for them coming out; to check lines and move heads. And no valve was covered as the technician reported. As I tried to explain myself, she over talked me with words like, Ma'am Ma'am. In other words, "I really don't want to hear what you have to say." What has happened to customer service? Due to her behavior, I will never use Active again. She was rude and condescending. I originally found them on Angie's List so I will leave my feedback there as well. 1 star is too many!

They will give me a cost estimate in 3 days. Well, it is over a month and I have not heard from them yet.

I purchased a deal. I have yet to hear from sp. I purchased a deal from them in the past for a similar service and im not sure if they dont want to do the service for again. Either way they could have called.

Fantastic! Dwane arrived within the stated time window. He was very professional and taught me a lot about my sprinkler system, He is knowledgeable and was kind to answer all of my questions. It only took 2 hours and didn't cost very much. A small price to pay for a green lawn. Thank you, Dwane! Will definitely call them again, and will recommend them to anyone.
