It is a typical service. All went as expected

Well. Considering I can walk around and check if the sprinkler is pointed in the right direction I'm not the right candidate for this service. Replacing heads on sprinklers is not hard either. This service I think is for more drastic issues with your sprinkler system or if you don't like getting wet. But thank you for the quick response and professionalism.

It went very well, the technician was very nice and helpful, he discussed before starting what he would be doing and when he finished he asked if I would look and make sure it was the correct placement. Thank you!

What they did is not what I thought they were going to do. They came out and they checked my sprinkler system and make sure everything is working fine and this that and the other. I understand that as to if I had a sprinkler that wasn't working right, they'd fix it, but they didn't. Luckily my step son was able to come out and fix it. I talked to the lady or whatever later and understood oh this was just to have somebody come out and check and find out if I wanted to get something fixed and I needed to pay another whatever so many dollars and I went, what did I pay for?, so, I don't feel like I got what I paid for or I misunderstood what they were offering. There were no additional fees. I felt it was a way for them to get the client to spend more money. They came out and did what they thought they should do. My expectations did not meet what they said, you know, their intentions by what the ad said were.

Service man was very nice and did his job,of course recommended some other things that could be done. But not pushy about it.

Richard did an outstanding job of understanding what needed to be done, he performed the work quickly and he explained everything to me. AND... he charged me a very reasonable amount for the time here and for the work done. Next time my sprinkler system needs servicing, I will be calling on this company again!!!

It turned out just fine. I did have some more work done. I ended up spending around $100. I had a lot of stuff that needed to be replaced and some things that needed to be moved. It was good but there was nothing kind of exceptional about it. The price was competitive. There was nothing that necessarily stood out. But it was very satisfactory.

It was alright. There was nothing that really should have cost more than $35. The price was alright. I probably will not use them again since I do my own sprinkler work anyway. There was nothing that they really did that I didn't do.

It was kind of mediocre. It's really never finished. It cost me $500 and it was kind of piece meal. It was not really good and not really bad. I just wish Angie's List had another option in their services. They did a good job and as long as there is nothing wrong, they do really well. The guy that is the owner is really good and he has good public relations. He does well but when things don't work out the way they should, he was sending out people that work for him and he's the get-it-done-really-quick-type thing so I had to do some of it myself and some of it are not going to last so I'm going to have get somebody else in the spring to take care of it. It's not that I can say that he did a bad job, but it could have been more complete and they could have done a little better job. We replaced some of the valves and he wanted to put all the valves in the ground where I had taken them out of the ground because they get all clogged with dirt and mud. Whenever we had to do any kind of service on them, we had to dig up all the dirt so I have a nice little place nearby within a wall where I could put them above the ground still in the shade. He had a mind set to put it back in the ground. He run some wires and spliced them with wire nets and they are all buried in the ground. If they go in contact with water then that's not going to last. I got some liquid wire and essentially if I use it to seal around those things and they seem to be hanging in there but it's not going to be permanent. I'm going to end up having to have somebody pull another wire and do all the splicing from above the ground. He was thinking ahead of time that we're going to put these all on the ground. It would have been expensive but it will also not work for me. I think it's one of those things where he wanted to do his way and I told him I wanted him to do another way. We had a few times in the very beginning where the wire nets and the ceiling got water in them so I had to take them loose and dry them out. Our system works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't so I haven't used it probably since summer. Probably this coming spring, I'll find somebody else locally. I was disappointed that Angie's List had only this one guy with a sterling clean record. It's nice to have at least somebody else to do the work reasonably. They have little papers that people put around so I might get somebody else if I feel comfortable with them. My interaction with them was good. The fellow that essentially owns it comes out. He is a very personable guy and he is very knowledgeable at what he does, and he was the one that would work with me the way I want it done, it would work out really great. Sprinkler systems are not complicated. It's just a matter of making sure the connections are good and the valves are clean. He came out promptly and did a good job as far as doing maintenance on the ones that were having problems. He replaced a few sprinkler heads and did justice to some of the others. As long as things are pretty much just general maintenance, he does a good job. I have no complaints about that. It's just that when I have a problem, it's hard to get things completed the way I want them. He's one below the ground. He's not planning to do anything to seal them. He just put them there. I asked what would I do if they are full of mud and he told me to just scoop it out. When I see something leaking, I want to be able to know that it's leaking and be able to fix it at that time. I ended up buying a few new solenoids and hooking them in myself. Initially their responsiveness was pretty good. The fellow was very good. I would prefer to find somebody else. That would be my first choice, somebody that could work with me and I wish Angie's List would put in more than one person.

It was fine. They really did a great job. They kind of went around the whole house and took care of the little things that needed to be done. They did a good clean-up job. They were very attentive when I set up the appointment. The disappointing part was they did not do some of the things that I thought they were going to do. The job was great but they left a gigantic stain in the middle of my driveway like the oil of the car. They probably didn't know they did that. That was the only thing that was not good. I should have been home. I walked around the area and they left a list of the things that they did. There were just a few little things that we talked about on the list that they were going to do and they did not do that.

I was very pleased. There were additional charges and I expected that there would be because $35 was for the inspection. He found some sprinkler heads that were not functioning and they had to be replaced. He just happened to have them on the truck. The final cost was around $140. We have 46 sprinklers and some of them are pop ups, some of them are 3 inches in diameter, some are 1 inch in diameter and stay up permanently. So, you had different parts, different fixtures, different sizes, different functions. Some are spring load, some rotate and some just pop up and do a 360 pattern, some 180 pattern. So each part is a different price. He repaired or replaced probably half a dozen or so of those heads. Then I took him to my son's house a few doors away. He replaced a few big ones and then had a major problem with water pressure and had to bring in a special piece of equipment and test the lines. The young man was very fast. He was very efficient, very knowledgeable and personable. They were thorough and professional. I was very pleased.

He was there for maybe two hours. He was not doing a thorough job. I had to point to him what was missing on the sprinkler head and then he would fix it. But, I expected him to do an inspection of all the sprinkler heads by himself. Since I asked him to fix one of the sprinkler heads, I had to pay an additional charge. If I was going to refer this company to a friend or family, I would tell them to double check.

Replaced faulty valve and properly adjusted all sprinkler heads.

Went fine they spent a lot of time on property going over things so no complaints there. They were very responsive and timely which was nice. Seemed to be a loss leader type promotion to do the basic tune up and to look for other upset items which is what I expected going into the situation and feel I got my monies worth of making suggestions about heads that were broken and other zones in need of repair. No regrets and no complaints.

This went well. What he did wasn’t a tune up. I was not satisfied with that. He walked around, put flags up and turned it on.

The provider was very thorough and efficient. I will call again for future services.

Active Lawn Care was professional and honest. There were minor concerns, but I didn't feel as if they were trying to find something. Any concerns were immediately fixed with minimal additional charges. I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them again next year.
