"This is the second time I have hired Juan to paint . First job was 2 bedrooms which were done excellent. Second project was to paint 2 bathrooms, a small section of kitchen cabinets and spray paint 2 exterior doors. This was in November 2021. Juan had Carlos paint the bathrooms and Juan painted the outside doors. The doors were done very well but the bathrooms had missed spots and the cut in to the crown molding wasnâ t done well. Juan said he would come back to correct it. The kitchen cabinets were put on hold because Juan said the weather was too humid. He said he would need 3 good sunny days to complete the kitchen cabinets. He had quoted me $1900.00 for the total job. He said He would just charge half for the work that was done in which I paid him $950.00. I didnâ t hear anything from he or Katherine for several weeks. I went out of town for the Christmas holidays and told Juan I would be back on December 29th. After the first of the year I called and reminded them that I really wanted my cabinets done as soon as possible. It rained a lot during the month of January and Katherine asked me to be patient because the weather was not ideal and Juan was booked heavily with some other jobs. I waited the whole month of February and never heard from them. Finally I called and left a message for them to call me. They did not. After two days I sent Katherine a text and told her that I was very disappointed that they would not call me back. She replied back that Juan wife had almost went into a diabetic coma that day and perhaps had COVID and to please be patient. I asked her what that had to do with them not calling me back and asked if Juan was not painting.? I am a retired RN so when someone tells me that a person ALMOST went into a diabetic coma it does not excite me. I reminded her that Juan had already been paid for the bathrooms and they were not to my satisfaction and he had not come back to correct the mistakes. She text me back later in the day and said Juan would be over the next day to correct the bathrooms. He came the next morning and had a young lady with him that he was training. She painted under his supervision and did a satisfactory job. I asked him how his wife was and he said she was good. He did not seem to be aware of what Katherine had told me. Juan and I talked about the kitchen cabinets that day. He said as soon as the weather got warmer and dry that he would do the cabinets ( that was March 2, 2022). I had not heard from them so yesterday I texted Katherine and asked her when I was scheduled for my cabinets. She did not answer me except to text me Juan number. I called him and he answered. He told me to call Katherine to see when I was on the schedule. I told him that I had texted her first and she had replied back with his phone number. He said he would talk to her and look at the schedule and call me back. He did text me last evening to tell me that since it had been so long since he quoted me that the price would be going up. I asked him how much and reminded him that I have the paint. He has not answered me yet. I think Juan has expanded his company and is overbooking. He, himself does a great job in painting. He does not have the time to supervise his workers and so the painting is not as good as it once was. Obviously Juan does not want to do my cabinets. There have been several days that the weather was good. Spray painting is more time consuming but he was charging me $950.00 for a small section of my cabinets. I thought that it was on the high side but since I trusted Juanâ s painting ability I was willing to pay what he wanted. I just wish that he had told me he did not have time so I could have had my cabinets done by now. My advice is to make sure that your job is totally complete before you pay him.. because I think you will have a hard time getting him back for a small job."

General Contractor, Supplying : Frameless Showers, cabinets, counter tops, tile mirrors, shelving, kitchen and bath remodeling, whole house restoration, and remodeling, water and fire damage, electrical and plumbing services, we carry plumbing fixtures and hardwood flooring, carpentry, baseboards, crown molding
"In the past 5 years we have re-done our entire house - replaced all windows & doors to meet hurricane code, Mater Bathroom, front entry, pool, patio, back deck, carpet and finally the kitchen using a number of contractors - Chris Fuller, owner of Kitchen Bath and Glass Center is the worst contractor, HANDS DOWN. We spent >$30K with him on cabinets, counter tops, sink, and a center island quartz top. We were told the project would take "4-6 weeks" and actually took >15 weeks to complete and the delays are due to inferior workmanship, poor quality cabinets and outright mistakes made by Kitchen Bath and Glass, here are the facts: Chris Fuller never once set foot in our house prior to, or during the renovation project - even after all of problems started. When they did start, he initially took our phone calls but soon reverted to having his employees respond. Kitchen Bath and Glass Center ordered the wrong Quartz material for the island and it took two weeks to replace it. When it finally arrived it couldn't be installed because " the cabinets weren't square". His cabinet installer didn't line up the cabinets properly. The Kitchen Bath and Glasss Center countertop and cabinet subcontractors work required both of them to make numerous return visits to fix visually obvious defects - both subcontractors were criticized by the other installers, electricians, plumbers, tile guys, etc. One said, "I haven't seen this shabby of cabinet work in 18 years on the job". Another subcontractor from Orlando said, "Brevard county construction work is not very good but this counter top is terrible". The countertop subcontractor measured and made the wrong cuts - and didn't order the replacement product until 3 weeks later; nobody at Kitchen Bath and Glass bothered to check into this until we complained. When it was finally ordered we were told it was "out of stock in the state of Florida" and wouldn't be in for at least 3 weeks. Kitchen Bath and Glass Center ordered the wrong cabinets - we wanted a drawer capable of holding hanging files; they "forgot". The workmanship of the cabinets was shoddy - we have warped cabinet doors and three different portions of cabinets didn't have internal hardware installed or was only partially installed. The project is now complete thanks to multiple shims, glue, and faux pieces of trim. We are not satisfied with the outcome. My recommendation: Avoid Kitchen Bath and Glass COMPLETELY - You can easily find a better contractor than Chris Fuller for ANY project to be done on your house."

While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9 per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Yes, adding either a porch or deck (or both!) to your home can add value. Both of these features add character and curb appeal to your home, but even more importantly, they add an element of convenience. Plus, these home features create additional square footage of living space to your home. Adding a porch onto your home can give you a return on investment (ROI) of up to 84%, while adding a deck can provide an ROI of up to 80%.
Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:
Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.
Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.
Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.
Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.
As with patios, there are many types of deck choices to choose from to add personalization to your home. Some common deck options include:
Attached decks are anchored to the home and include simple ground-level options or multi-level structures with stairways and separate landings.
Detached island decks are not attached to the home; they’re a freestanding structure in the yard.
Wraparound decks connect the back of the house with at least one other side and often are built with railings for safety.
Multi-level decks connect your deck through varying levels of elevation, featuring landings that are attached to stairs.
