+ 0 moreEugene Nelson, owner of the company, was the most capable, professional and friendly contractor I have ever worked with! Adding to his exemplary work is Mr. Nelson's crew that were highly trained and extremely conscientious in their work performance. Where as my usual experience with contractors involved having to clean up after them - that was never an issue with Mr. Nelson's crew. They worked as if the project was being completed at their own homes. Adding to the construction crew's abilities was the fact that Mr. Nelson's subcontractor workforce was a list of the best plumbers, electricians, roofing and concrete techs the area has to offer. Overall, despite the higher value materials and construction requested of him, several additions/changes requested through the life of the project, and my engineer husband's scrutiny, Mr Nelsons company received an A rating. If you have any construction needs, remodeling, or repairs and are looking for am excellent contractor - you can't go wrong with Nelson's Construction Company!! Office - 850-983-6968
Description of Work: Nelson Construction built a 40 X 40 workshop/storage building on the back of our property, completing the project in 45 days from start to finish. This project was the last of several major renovation projects accomplished on this property, and despite the size, detail and intricacy, was by far the smoothest process I have experienced. Description of Work Performed: 40 X 40 building with concrete slab, extra hurricane rating with rods and strapping into slab, exterior vinyled, 10 X 40 ramp to garage doors, 2 X 6 walls, with center dividing wall, using attic trusses created 10 X 8 room in center of attic area, with stairs. Attic insulated with R 38 insulation, roof decked with 5/8 plywood and 30 yr shingles, walls plywood inside and out w/R19 insulation. Ceilings 1/2" plywood, outside walls house wrapped, w/hardy board, 3 entrance doors, 2 8X8 industrial garage doors, 4 windows, 3 interior doors, heat/air unit, full bathroom with shower and water heater, septic tank, extra attic trusses, OSB and 2 attic stairs to create storage space on both sides of building.
