He's just a good hardworking individual. I've recommended him to 7 or 8 people and they bought units from him.

Everything was excellent. He was great. We had a problem with out old system. He kept it running as long as he could until the new unit came in. He was here every other day. He did the duct work when it was 100 degrees out. His price was great.
Description of Work: McGreevy Heating And Air installed my new central air conditioning system.

We have used them several times during the year, and they are wonderful. They are reliable and quick and efficient. We will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They replaced an air conditioning unit for us in our home, and also replaced a control board on another air conditioning unit on another home we own.

Our existing heat pump couldn't keep up with the demands of cooling our home. We hired a well-known company to replace our entire system, based on their long-term reputation. The company then gave the job to McGreevy's. That's how we ended up with this company. Two guys showed up as expected, with the equipment. They evaluated the situation and felt the air handler ordered by the salesman would not fit in our closet. I remeasured and assured them it would. The difference between the two was a matter of half a SEER. It was debated for over an hour before we put our foot down and decided it was either this handler or no job at all. All debates ended immediately and work started. The men were polite and worked very well with our dogs and young child. On the first day, the air handler, A/C unit and thermostat were all installed. The A/C was functioning again by afternoon, allowing us to sleep in our home (vs. hotel). Duct work was to be completed the following day. The next day is when problems started to pop up. They "completed" the duct work by evening. McGreevy's had set the paperwork out for my husband to sign and was ready to be on their way. Upon walk through inspection by my husband and I, we found several problems. - ALL of the new duct lines in the attic leaked. Totally unacceptable! -Their was a hole in the duct coming from the air handler that I could literally put my finger through. -The info sheet on the air handler was not filled out So, they supposedly fixed the leaking ducts and the hole near the air handler. They never did fill out the info on the air handler. More problems popped up the next day after we let the A/C run through a normal day's usage. -Drainline was at a slight incline instead of a decline, causing over 1 cup of water to be retained in the line -Outside hole in the house was not fully sealed to prevent small creatures from climbing in and dying (not a code requirement, I was told) -Drywall on ceiling was cracked/torn near A/C vents in three rooms -Thermostat was reading warmer than the actual temperature -At least one duct line has excessive sag (greater than 5") Solutions: I scooted the drainline off of the A/C platform and a decline was achieved. The contractor was supposed to come finish caulking the hole outside and failed to call or make contact until 2 days later. By then, my husband had decided to fix it himself and sprayed insulation in the hole. The drywall will not be fixed as it stated in the contract that some carpentry work may need to be done as a result. My husband also figured out the problem with the thermostat. Due to poor insulation around the hole of the thermostat, hot air was coming down through the wall, causing it to read higher than it actually was. He pulled the thermostat off and spray-foamed the inside, fixing the problem. The excessive sag in the line was just discovered and I will address it to the installer. Overall, I am highly disappointed. We paid for the name and reputation of a well-known company and got the shotty work of an amateur. There was virtually no attention to detail. Not what I expected at all.
Description of Work: Replace our entire A/C system including 3 ton heat pump, air handler, drain line, thermostat, and all duct work.
