So my gardens and lawn were right out of Southern living/ better homes and gardens. Note "were". Driving down my drive, the views were stunning! Compliments abounding! Well that was until a batallion of armadillos moved into my surrounding woods. Put down all kinds of "Pestaway" products, mothballs, Cayenne Pepper, Stale egg and milk mixtures found on the net and soforth......NO LUCK!!! Called my Florida State fish and game headquarters, and they gave me the Name of the only liscenced trapper for my county. Those armadillos were sure smarter than me! Called Edwards animal care, and they came out quickly, tramping about my woods and ravines, to see where the armadillos were camping. He set up traps and snares, and we bagged three armadillos. He called frequently to see how things were going, and periodically adjusted the snares. Lastly, he put down around the house a predator musk ( quite expensive).....Low and behold, My yard is coming back and there are no signs of predator infestation. The owner, Scott, is an interesting man to speak to. He is warm, kind, knows his animal husbandry business, and very conscencious. A definite strong thumbs up, and a very likeable person.
