My thermostat stopped working on Mother's Day. The person I typically use for AC was not available. I started searching on Angie's List and saw the good reviews from about CE Chandler. When I called, unfortunately, they didn't service my area, but he did ask me to tell him what was wrong. After telling him, he said that would be an easy fixed and he stayed on the phone and gave my son and I direction on how to unclog the drain tube. He was extremely professional and helpful. I am very impressed and appreciative for his willingness to help. I would absolutely use this provider if he were in my service area.

I called Mr. Chandler at about 7pm on a Thursday evening, based solely on the reviews on Angie's List and a slight urgency over a dysfunctional AC with the temperatures already rising into the 80s during the day. I fully expected to get voicemail or, if I was lucky, and answering service. Instead, Mr. Chandler answered the line, listened to my problem (the outside unit and indoor fan were both running, but no air was coming from the vents), and offered a few quick-fix suggestions that might a) restore some cooling during the evening, and b) help him isolate the cause of the problem when he came by the next morning. When he arrived the next morning, he was very courteous, professional, and patient as he examined the HVAC system, adding freon to the unit to fix the immediate problem, and explaining all of the numerous problems he found. He left with the promise of emailing a full explanation/estimate of the faults with the current outdated system that I could then forward on to the owner. All in all, I was immensely pleased and very impressed with the service provided. I expected to wait several days for the AC to be functional again, and certainly didn't expect (useful!) advice over the telephone. I also expected to pay much more than I did, based on the promptness of the services provided. I highly recommend Mr. Chandler and his business to anyone who may be having HVAC issues.

Overall, the work was fine. They were quick and efficient, and the workers were good. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They are really nice. They seemed to be very knowledgeable about what they were doing. They were nice enough to correct what the other company had done when they could have just left it as it was, but they didn't. They made corrections. We have a tendency to believe people because we don't know anything about air-conditioning. The other company had really messed things up and Mr. Chandler straightened it out. I thought they were reasonable. We were very pleased with them.

Happy Chandler arrived a bit later than scheduled as he had a prior job that ran longer than planned (that could be me one day!). He inspected the unit and said all was in good working order except coils were not quite as clean as they should be and there was a drip. He went to the parts house to get the spray to rectify that. Came back and cleaned the coils, checked the outside unit and then removed the old thermostat and replaced with a programmable one at my request. I am very satisfied with his work and, while I hope not to need him much, will DEFINITELY call when I have a problem.

Mr. Chandler was very positive and happy to help us, even on a Sunday afternoon. He worked us into his schedule of going to a birthday party and did not begrudge the time away from his family. We will definitely call Mr. Chandler again.

Allowed me to watch and explained what he was doing and what to look for so I could do some inspections myself.

One night our A/C unit quit pumping out cold air in favor of ambient air. After hearing the fan but not the compressor, I realized this was above my head and called CE Chandler. They had been out before to troubleshoot a faulty automatic thermostat and remembered the details of our system. It was about 18 hours from call until they arrived - speedy service for a non-emergency call in the middle of the summer! They took about 30 minutes to diagnose and fix the problem, with an immediate resolution and cold air coming from the vents again. I'm definitely going to continue to use them for any problems in the future.

While the part costs approximately $25. I ended up paying over $200. for the service. I was unfortunately out of town and my daughter dealt wit this issue. He was extremely responsive and on time. I never got the opportunity to talk with him but I am guessing the reason I had to pay so much was due to the work being done on a Sunday??? Or, $175 is typical for that service (replace capacitor), I don't know and didnt research it. What was the use I had to ge tthe AC back on. If it is typical (you do the reasearch) then he deserves an A as everything else was great.

They are so nice and come over promptly. On the negative side they chit chat a lot, which to some people would be a positive. We were busy and just wanted to get through the appointment and out the door. Also, they found something wrong and needed to order a part. It was months before they got in touch with us so we had to keep tracking them down.

It went very well. Naturally, if a system is checked and found to be in good order, the customer is happier than if extensive or expensive work is needed. The technician checked everything and added some coolant and reported that the system is in good shape except for needed repair to the ductwork that I have already scheduled to be done. I did not know before that this company could replace or repair the ductwork, or I would have them price that job.

Around 3:00 on the Friday afternoon before Memorial Day, we phoned for a consultation after our air conditioning unit quit. I immediately received a call back from Mr. Chandler, who was working in Pensacola, but said that someone would stop by that afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised when a tech did indeed come by and diagnose what appeared to be a blown compressor that a replacement could not be ordered at that time (5:30 on Friday afternoon). The following Tuesday, we received a call to ask if we wanted to go ahead and order he $1300 replacement compressor. We agreed, but then received a call from the tech , who said that he had thought more about the problem and wanted to try another solution. It turned out that the compressor wasn't blown, but had just tripped off due to a low coolant level. He then refilled the coolant, checked for leaks, and then reset the compressor. Success, and for only $300, even though we had already mentally girded ourselves to pay $1,000 more. CE Chandler could have taken our $1300 to perform unnecessary work, but instead correctly diagnosed the actual problem for much less. Great, timely work, including the Friday before a holiday weekend. Straight shooters, competent, honest. Couldn't ask for much more.
