My AC went out on a Friday afternoon. I called C.E. Chandler AC & Heating at 5:05 pm. The technician arrived shortly after my call just as the skies opened up in a nasty thunderstorm. I expected him to say the weather was too bad to repair my unit as the problem was in the outdoor compressor. But, he got right to work in a downpour. Within 2 hours of my call my AC was cooling again. The cost was well below my expectations. I highly recommend this company, fast response, good people.

From the moment I called him he was so very friendly. He put me at ease right away. I explained the problem, let him know we were new home owners and needed it check out from head to toe. He gave me the best quote to come and check it out, he came with in just a couple of hours, not days. He asked me a few questions when he got here, I asked him what he thought, he was very nice, took the time to explain it to me. Went right to work. You could just tell by the way he was doing things he new what he was doing. He saw a problem we will have for the winter, explained that if we replace this part our cost of heat will go down due to it working properly. Said there was no hurry, I asked him to call me with a quote and he replied he would call me back and let me know. I had just had some back surgery and standing is still rather painful, he let me pull up a lawn chair and sit there while he worked and I asked him questions as he worked. He was so very polite. When he left he even gave my grandson some little cars to play, my grandson is 4 and came running in to tell me how special he must be, and how nice the man was to him. Yes I would recommend this gentleman to everyone.

I called to schedule and spoke with Pauline. She is the sweetest person to work with. When I had to reschedule she made it very easy. The service was wonderful. The technician inspected two units and gave me tips and suggestions to better maintain the units so they will last longer. I was very impressed with them. I signed up for an annual maintenance schedule.

Outstanding service will be utilizing them in the future.

We've used this company many times in the past and their service is excellant. Unfortunately, they promised to provide us with a quote on a new system the next day but this never took place. This would not stop us from using them again but if you say your going to do something...do it.

It went wonderfully. They were very courteous and professional. They took care of my problem.

Upon the technician coming out, he seemed like he did not know what he was talking about and kept giving estimates on stuff. To us it just seemed that he was trying to run the bill up. Well he left a estimate and it has been three weeks since then and no one has called or done a follow up to the estimate he left. So with all the stuff that was on the list, to this day we still have not a clue what it was going to cost us. We are currently going with another company.

This was a follow-up call that lead to a complete change out of the Freon that was originally used, but was found to be incompatible with my system. Below is a copy of the letter I sent to Chandler's in regard to the Freon service charge and other issues. CE Chandler AC 5951 Colter Road Milton, FL 32583 Dear Happy, I received your enclosed bill for the Freon cost difference and I have enclosed a check in the amount of $420. I have had my own small business and realize you are in business to make a profit but I am not happy about this invoice. I would like to take a moment and go over the events that led to this point. I called your office back in January 2013 because you were recommended by Angie?s List. Your AC Tech came to my house and evaluated the AC unit and found that I had a rusty accumulator, I believe, and it had to be replaced. Because he had to get up in the attic area over the garage I had to move some classic cars, which I had no problem with doing. But upon his leaving I noticed that the heater was not working after I pulled the cars back in. I called you Tech on his cell and asked that he return He arrived back at the house and I had to move the cars again because he turned the circuit breaker off in the attic and did not turn it back on. I did not complain. I selected to have the outside unit replaced in it?s entirety because the old one was older and replacing with new unit had 5 year warranty. No problems with this installation in February 2013 other than the unit got ?stuck on? the first time the unit came on the next day. At this time your Company selected to use M099 Freon, which later turned out to be a poor selection for my unit. The season got warmer and started to use the AC unit. The new unit could not maintain a cooling temp of even 78 degrees in the house and stayed on for one and half ( 1 ½ hours) at a time to maintain that high temp and sometimes I moved the thermostat to 80 to get it to shut off. Your Tech crew came again to look at the unit and had to get up in the attic and this time said it was the expansion value and it needed to be replaced and you would order and replace it and that would resolve the problem. I called back the following week and you stated the valve would be in the next morning and your Tech would be out to replace and repair. A different Tech showed up the next day with the part. Upon test and evaluation he realized that I did not need an expansion valve, but the real cause was the M099 Freon was probably not compatible with my unit and needed to be replaced. If you remember for several weeks I asked you if that may be the cause of the inefficiency and was told no. After the unit was purged and replaced with R22 the unit has been functioning properly. My point of this letter is to state that your Company made the selection to use M099 Freon and said it was the expansion valve, not the incompatible Freon with my unit. Your Company should have done a lot more study and got more info on M099 instead of using a Freon that is 2 ½ times cheaper. I understand we are all looking to provide a cheaper product, but it must have reasonably equal quality, efficiency and specs and than make the decision to use on a wider basis. Just to let you know I plan to post this letter on Angie?s List in the next several days.

The service man came promptly after we called for an appointment. He was courteous, friendly and efficient.

Our A/C quite entirely last night. I was not able to get a voltage reading at the the thermostat. What was needed was over my abilities. I decided to check Angies List. CE Chandler A/C & Heating had more positive feed back then the others. My decision to call them was based on this. This morning I called at 6:30am and to my surprise they answered the phone. No answering machine. Very nice. They advised the could be by around 10am. after another appointment. They called back saying the other appointment had canceled and asked to come early. My low voltage circuit shorted out and fried a transformer and two relays. He said he could repair it for now but we should seriously consider replacing the inside unit since our current one was 39 years old. He's right but we are not prepared to replace it yet. He made the repair. Our A/C was up and running all before our original appointment time of 10am. We are very happy with CE Chandler's service. We will call them for the inside unit when we are ready in a few months.

Our A/C went out on Monday night and we called and left a msg on Tuesday morning before they opened. The owner called us back right away even before they opened and said he would check his schedule when he got into the office to see how soon someone could come and look at our system. He did as promised and someone was out at the house by about 9:30am. The technician was courteous, efficient and had our system running by about 10:15. Luckily it wasn't anything serious as we were in the process of selling our home at the time. He fixed the problem and performed a tune-up. If we were staying in the area, I would use them again in an instant and would recommend them to anyone with heating or A/C issues.

Service man found the problem quickly, made an adjustment in the unit and added freon.

They got there on time, and worked fast. They made a trash can holder for my son. They weren't as expensive as the other companies we'd called. They were very informative. He gave me suggestions on what I could do in my home, they were very nice, and acted like a family member.

Tech came out found the problem.Gave us the cost of repair.Then got part from his truck and installed it.Then checked entire system.

Very professional. Arrived on time and explained all work being performed. I had no clean up to do after the job!

I received an estimate on November, 27th to do the necessary work requested. The quote was accepted on the 28th, and the work was completed on November 30, 2012. They were very professional in every way. I am very happy with the work, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service. I will most certainly use them in the future to do all my routine cleaning services. Thank you
