B & C NURSERY

Jan 2012 they completed an extensive paver patio, pergola and outdoor kitchen. Looked great but looks can be deceiving. Things started falling in last year and since April I have been in touch with Brian to get it repaired. He had one excuse after another. Early July I texted and he said he was on vacation this week but would get back with me when he gets back. It's now September and no call. So I contacted someone else. Now it is done. It had to be completely rebuilt it was completely rotted. It was questionable if they even used treated lumber. I don't think they sealed anything with the amount of water damage that made the thing start to collapse. Very poor construction. The company that rebuilt it did an awesome job and it will last longer then I'll be around. I DO NOT recommend B&C Nursery for anything. They also did alot of landscaping for us. One tree they put in next to the house they said won't get taller then 10 feet. Not true at all and other plants were not appropriate for the location they put them and are constantly struggling. Terrible customer service

They were similar in price and suggestions to the other businesses who had provided us with estimates that we garnered from Angies List. We chose them because we have made purchases through the actual nursery in the past and they were local to Pace, FL. They were excellent-on time, hard working, professional, and cleaned up every night before leaving. Very little disruption to us or the neighbors. The project took 4 days. They did every thing they said they would and more. The end results were better than expected. We would definitely recommend them and use them again (although we hope we don't need to). If Angie's List would allow an A++ we would give Kelby and B&C that rating.

B & C performed a front yard landscaping renovation on a home I recently purchase. They first provided a general landscaping design and provided an initial estimate. Once I provided a deposit I was given a general time frame for the renovation (weather dependent). B & C arrived with a large crew a few weeks later and worked my yard continuously until the work was completed. I was please with the outcome and I have since hired them back for smaller projects.

Lawn care in Florida is much different than what I'm used to in Illinois and there are many different opinions on how best to take care of ones lawn. In my search for information I had a nice chat with the folks at Band C. The bottom line is that their lawn care folks were very friendly and knowledgeable in regard to what is needed to properly take care of one's lawn. Unfortunately, I don't own the necessary equipment needed to apply the granular fertilizer and bug killer that needed to be applied this fall but the folks at Band C said that as a service, they would apply the needed fertilizer and bug killer with their commercial spreader for just $10 an application. In addition they also told me what kind of fertilizer I should buy both now and in the future and there was no requirement to buy the product from them. So, in summary I got great free advice and great cheap service from the folks at Band C. Because of their honesty, friendliness and help, I'll probably go back to Band C when I need landscaping plants and other products related to lawn and garden care.

Overall went well, they had to come back several times to repair the newly graded area when it was washed out by rain before the sod could take root. They also replaced sod in an area that was in bad shape at my request. After the sloped area was repaired several times it ended up having dips in some areas instead of a smooth slope. They were responsive when it came time to shore up the original job.

We were contacted by Kelby Goodwin who set an appointment to visit my wife and myself. He arrived promptly on time and was very polite, professional and business like. He reviewed the area we wanted to re-do, drew rough sketches. He then made suggestions to us based upon what we would like to see. He provided various pictures for to see and be able to envision the completed result. He left and set up a follow time to show us his completed plans. We agreed to the final plans and pricing. We were disappointed in that it would take longer to start the project than what we were envisioning, but this was due to both weather delays and their already committed schedules. That we understood. Then one day shortly after Kelby called and said they had an unexpected opening also because of weather. He set it up for the next day. He arrived with a complete working crew the next day and proceeded start planting and moving current plants. His crew was very pleasant and polite and extremely accommodating to our needs. We have since then had to contact Kelby about other plant concerns not related to their project but he still was very helpful and cordial to us.

This was a third phase for jobs Band C did for me in 2012 and 2013. This phase included additional block wall, additional hardscape paver area, sealing all pavers, and installing an outdoor kitchen grill. I am happy with the finished product, but it took considerably longer than I expected to have everything done. This is because there were several sub-contractors involved, and scheduling them was a challenge. First off, as I mentioned in previous review - unless you are just getting landscaping done, Band C is acting as a coordinator only. All the work was done by sub-contractors. We had a paver company, a plumber, a cabinet builder, and a granite supplier involved. Band C Nursery is a great local company, and I will use them again. You just have to stay on top of them to herd all the subs to completion.

They were great. They came out and planted them and it wasn't too expensive. They were very helpful. We got the stuff on sale.

B and C does use a paver subcontractor who speaks very little English. Communication was difficult during the project but the finished product is great. Bryan from B and C was our contact and he made sure all our concerns were addressed and corrected when needed. The crew removed two pallets of old pavers and stacked them in our back yard for future use. The prep work was well done. We are very pleased with the work and have already contracted with them for another project.

Great work and personality from design, bidding, construction. Beautiful work on patio and landscaping. It was a pleasurable and stress free working relationship with Brian. Would recommend to anyone.

The finished job looks very nice. The quality of the work is excellent. Getting there is a bit different story. First - Band C does landscaping. If you want a wall or hardscape, they are going to use subcontractors. We had hardscape done in June 2012 ($14000) and a retaining wall in May 2013 ($7000) - both times the same subcontractor did the work. The work was very good and the workers really worked hard. But none of the workers spoke any English, and their job coordinator who did, only showed up once a day...so communication was very limited. Trying to get an answer to who was showing up on which days was difficult. This is where Band C fell down on the job - we should have been called by them each day with details of what was going to happen next - instead we played extensive phone tag trying to find out the plan. The May 2013 project also included a wood retaining wall. Again, the final product is excellent. Band C used a different subcontractor for this project - and he was totally useless in keeping us informed of the plan, and the job that should have taken 3 days stretched well into a second week. This guy flat out told me he did his own thing and would tell a customer anything to get us off his back. I complained to Band C, but they really sort of sat on their hands while this played out. Bottom line - the job is great. But if you use Band C, make sure you have rock solid understanding up front about subcontractors and what you expect in the way of keeping yourself informed. I give them a B overall, but plan on using them again for future projects.

The nursery crew did an exceptional job of laying the pavers. They were on time and very professional. We did experience a problem upon completion and the crew did their very best to rectify the problem. I have recommended them to friends and would consider using them in the future. I would caution potential clients that the sealer might stain their pool liner. The only way to remove the stain is to drain the pool and use a fiber pad. We had an old liner circa 2004 and it had bleached white. The nursery crew did remove all the stains but the liner was brittle and we had to eventually replace it. It was not the nursery's fault but caveat emptor.

Prompt and courteous person came to provide estimate. Estimate was very reasonable in comparison to other bids I had received for same work. Crew arrived on time and got right to work. Very careful not to damage anything. Was open to a couple of suggestions about the leveling process. Some of the sod had to be installed on a sloping surface so they staggered the sod pieces to prevent erosion and placed small pins in each piece of sod to prevent migration of the sod during downpours. About 5000 square feet of work was accomplished in one albeit long, day. The amount of sod was about 30 pieces short and supply of pins ran out before completion. The next day they came out, filled the places that had mission sod and installed remaining pins.

We made a bad purchase several years ago and staff was reluctant to make adjustment, but did issue credit. Other than that, we have had nothing but good experience.

Great work from start to finish - on time and professional; listened to my suggestions and fixed all issues

We continue to use B and C due to their quality of work and customer responsiveness. We started using them when our home was built late 2011. I gave them an idea on the "look" that we wanted for the front yard landscape and they surpassed our dreams. Both sides of the driveway entry make "Drivers by" slow and look. The front is not only easy to take care of but beautiful. They also put in irrigation and sod in the front. I purchased 4 Citrus trees for the back which are still doing great because of healthy trees and the great advice given. Additionally, we've purchased garden statues and other misc. garden items as their selection is getting better and better. We used them again for irrigation and sod in the back. I am now planning a hummingbird/butterfly garden which I've asked their help designing. Although I plan to do the planting, all my plants will come from there.

I am completely satisfied with the completed project, but I would recommend a daily check-in with the crew. If I had not met with them, I would have two PVC pipes in the middle of the patio! They were pipes from my old sprinkler well that had not been cut down to the ground. After meeting with the crew, they cut them down and paved right over them! The only bump was that I had to ask the crew to ensure that the water was turned completely off at the spigot. When I returned home one day, it had not been completely twisted off and was beginning to pool some water. The next day, there was no water coming from the spigot. It was appreciated!

I use them all the time because they are awesome. I would tell others to call them. They are a family owned business. They just have an excellent customer service. It's not a co-operation or anything like that. They have good quality shrubberies.

They have done a wonderful job. I would use them again in a heart beat.

terrible. the sod had weeds. lots and lots of them. we finally got them to replace the sod. part of the new sod started to die, they wanted no part of us. this year we are resodding again.

They didn’t come out when they were supposed to. However, they did the job. They didn’t accommodate in any way for making me wait for so long.

Pavers were not laid appropriately for drainage away from the house. The sod and irrigation was done well, I would have appreciated more information on the irrigation as for adjustments but the person who put the sod down answered all of my questions. I did call them this year for additional work but they never returned my call nor stopped by my house to discuss.

Still waiting! Approx. cost I had to put something or this wouldnt take....

B and C was the only lawncare company to return our phone calls, and although they were late to the initial meeting, the work itself was done promptly and well.
