Advanced Fireplace Technicians

This is a corporate business. They work in 13 states, you are unable to deal with anyone local. Arrangements were made with this company by the Roofing company that I went through.(They were great).A price was set by Advanced Fireplace Technicians company: however, the first technician that was sent to my house, said that he could not do the job for less than $900. Way over the price quoted by the company. It took him a week to come with the replacement cap, and he could not complete the job because it was raining. He scheduled to return in a week( 7 days I have an open chimney). There was no pitch, and he used inferior metal. MY Roofer started calling and it took over 5 days( with him calling several times a day for those 5 days) before he spoke with a "supervisor" in Florida. They sent another technician out to finish the job and he was horrified at the work and the inferior products that was done by the first technician. Inferior products were on my chimney and it was not fitted at all( custom fit????). They never called with this report, and I waited all morning for someone to show up. Bryan(my roofer) called again and we were told what the new technician had found. They then wanted to send someone out three weeks later to measure for the new custom fitted cap. This means we would have been dealing with this company This means that we would have been dealing with this company for almost 5 weeks and still have and open chimney. Their customer service is awful!! A consumer can never reach anybody that will take care of business for you. I would NEVER recommend this company. It might have been better if there was someone in town, but you are dealing with a company in another state and all corporate personnel and supervisors are in Florida and couldn't care less at what kind of service you are receiving. Very Poor service. This is a true statement of my experience with Advanced Fireplace Technicians.
