It was excellent. They were very responsive and very thorough. We had a bad storm, and they came and did the work before they were paid, they were very patient waiting to be paid. The price was reasonable. They were very professional and timely; they got the work done very quickly after they ordered the parts.

TJ & Ramon were wonderful! Very polite and clean. They kept us on the loop the entire time letting us know what they were doing and how they were doing it. They explained how the chimney worked and what it needed to be on top condition. We can't wait to have cold weather so we can throw some logs and enjoy our fireplace. Thanks TJ & Ramon!

They were prompt, had excellent communication and explained the entire process. My home is twelve years old and I had never had the chimney cleaned. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a fireplace.

Two man team arrived and were very friendly and professional. Checked and cleaned my chimney and repaired flue. Covered the opening to the chimney while cleaning to ensure no debris entered my home. Also pointed out areas of my roof that may need repair. Something they didn't have to do but took the time to point it out to me which I appreciated greatly. Bottom line - would highly recommend to others.

Very well. In addition to the clean and flue check, they found that my external damper's metal cord had worn (stretched out) to where it wasn't fully closing the damper (which explained the small amount of water coming in during heavy rain storms. They fixed this as part of the service. They were on-time, polite and kept everything clean in the house. I had purchased this service thru an Angie's List promotion.

Emailed to contact him for an appointment as soon as possible, he replied and asked for a phone number to call me, the following monday after having not heard from him I gave him a call and scheduled an appointment a few days out. At this point he never showed up for the appointment and I haven't heard from him since.

He did a very nice job and was very polite. He answered all of our questions.

The company was easy to schedule with and their workers called about 30 min prior to arriving to let me know they were on their way. They introduced themselves and explained who would be on the roof and who would be inside. They were efficient and provided a good service. The workers pointed out minor issues in one chimney and discussed how to remediate the larger repairs in the second.

We bought a foreclosure and were warned by our home inspector that there may be some issues with the chimney cap, mesh, etc. We also had no idea when the chimney was last serviced. So we bought a chimney cleaning package in hopes of avoiding burning the house down. The guys were very punctual (a bit early, but that's a refreshing change in the world of contractors) and very professional. They came in and got right to work. One up on the roof and the other at the actual fireplace. They blanketed the whole area to prevent soot and ash from going everywhere and used a heavy duty vacuum to get rid of all the buildup that they were removing. When they got done they told us we were good to go. We had expected them to try to sell us on a new chimney cap or something, and we even mentioned the issues the home inspector found. The guy on the roof came down and explained that someone had attached the mesh to our chimney cap, that it wasn't even part of the original package, was not necessary but that some of it had come off and that was likely what the home inspector saw/ He said he had been instructed never to try to sell items that were unnecessary and gave us instructions on how we could repair it ourselves if we were concerned. They also checked the fireplace and pointed out which cracks we needed to keep an eye on. All in all, an excellent experience. We will definitely be using them to clean our chimney again because they were punctual, professional and I can trust them and I know they will never try to sell us on unnecessary items.

I was very unhappy when they first got here because it was three of them and they looked like they were set up quite professionally and so on to get up on the roof. One came down and started sealing off the opening in the fireplace so the soot didn't get all over the great room, but very quickly they told me that they were only getting paid $79 or something through Angie's List and the Deal did not cover a thorough cleaning like mine needed. So they left and said they would reschedule some other time and the boss, I guess, called a couple of days later and said, it would be $500 to clean it like it really needs to be cleaned. I went back and looked at the Angie's List materials and there was...on the main list on the web page, it said, cleaning and buildup removal but on the back page, on the fine print, it said, something about, basically superficial cleaning is all that is covered. I said well, I need to have a cleaning so they came back and I paid them $500 more to do a deep cleaning. They did a good job, I think. I suppose they did but while they were here they also said that I had some firebricks in the part where the wood's burning, which I've already known about and there are about 3 or 4 of those that need to be replaced, maybe as many as six they said. They said they would call later to give me a price on that and arrange to have that done. They never called back. I just figured I would need to call them. I think as far as the letter of their advertisement, they had firm ground to stand on but I guess I was less happy with myself for not reading the fine print than them in the long run although I just don't feel like they do a good job of following up and that sort of thing. If they had come and just cleaned it for the Deal price, I'd give them an A because I thought they communicated well but because of everything that happened I think I'd have to give them a B or C. If you said quality of work I'd say they did an excellent job. If you said appointment reliability;being here when they said they'd be here, I'd give them a good grade on that. It is hard to be totally happy with them because of these other things that were going on. I think they are basically a pretty good organisation. I don't know whether they were trying to be misleading, I don't know their motive. Here is the other thing, the lady that talked to me on the phone when...I think I had to followup with them on that time too to get the thorough cleaning but when I called them back to get the thorough cleaning, I said, well your husband told me it would be $500 the same day we found out that the Deal wasn't going to cover it, she said yeah, I was really unhappy with that because we normally charge $600. Then after all of this settled down and they came and they did everything, I got thinking, well wait a minute, I paid $100 and something dollars for the Deal and then $500 so they got their $600. She was kind of talking like they were getting cheated. While they were here their long extension pole broke and so I let them use one that I had. They are very knowledgeable. The guy that mentioned the firebricks and everything said he'd been doing this for 30 years. I don't know of anybody that would be better that I would call on. The last people that did it 2 or 3 years ago just did apparently a pretty superficial cleaning because they didn't go into any of this. They didn't say anything about the firebrick and it was like $100 to do the cleaning. When they said they are going to be here at 10 o'clock, they were pretty much here at 10 o'clock. I might use them to get these firebricks done because I now that needs to be done and I don't know of anybody else that does that sort of thing. There just aren't very many people that do old style fire place work.

Two gentlemen from Chimney Keeper showed up on time. One man climbed on top of roof and inspected chimney giving suggestions to improve the structure. The other gentleman inspected the inside of the chimney, pointed out what problems needed to be watched, then put a plastic sheet over the chimney to protect the interior of my home. It took less than 10 minutes to clean the chimney. Then he cleaned the chimney, grate and hearth. I was very pleased with their professionalism and will definitely use them again!!!

Ok.. they noticed some damages to the top of the chimney but they refused to give a ball park estimate to me. Very weird. Wouldn't say if it bad or not too bad.

It went well. The provider was on-time and explained the condition of the chimney in addition to the sweep. Provided peace of mind.

Called as they were on their way. Arrived on schedule. Two man team. One on the roof and one in the house. Very aware of dust and soot. They sealed the fireplace so no soot would escape as they cleaned the fire box and chimney . Both men were very courteous and professional. They new their job and were very efficient in completing the work.

I called to make my appointment and asked if they would be working on Presidents Day. They said yes, it wouldn't be a problem and we made an appointment. I sat around my house on my day off waiting for them. They never showed so I called them. The woman said they tried to call (which I have no missed calls) to tell me they were not going to work on the holiday. Which I understand, but I was very clear with them when I set up the appointment that it was a holiday and they said it would not be an issue. They had even contacted me through Angies list messaging before so if they did not have the correct number they could have contacted me through Angies list. We cancelled our purchase due to the unprofessionalism.

The individuals were professional and on time. They did a good job, and cleaned up after themselves. I would hire this company again this year to clean my chimney.

Called Nick and got a quote for chimney cleaning, was informed they had a truck in my area and could do it today if that would work. It did and I received a call from the employee saying it would be around 3 pm, they arrived around 2 pm and apologized for being early but that actually worked better for me. 2 employees went on the roof and one came into the house, he laid a blanket down to protect our floors and catch any debris, he then closed the fireplace and taped up all the vents so when they cleaned nothing came out into the house. As they were cleaning they called down and asked if our fireplace was ventless gas and he replied no it was wood burning. The employee on the roof asked me to meet him outside, he showed me my cap which was rusted through and the top was sealed to the pipe, he showed me a new cap and how it was supposed to look and function. They gave me a price on the cap and with the cleaning, it was pretty pricey so I called Nick and he gave me what I thought was a good discount and fair price. They replaced the cap and finished cleaning. Inside they cleaned all the debris that fell into the box, vacuumed everywhere, rolled up the blanket and said I could have a fire immediately. Nick and the employees at Chimney Keeper did an excellent job and I would definitely use them again for all my chimney needs.

The crew was professional, friendly and clean! They confirmed my appointment as well as called me when they were on their way. Arrived on time and had everything done within an hour! They protected my carpet and cleaned up afterwards. The explained what was needed and educated me on the repairs done and needed. Will come back and replace the chimney cap after the holidays. Would highly recommend them and will. Never had any problems with communicating with the office.

Work was performed for incoming homeowner. No complaints received.
