+ -1 moreContinued from above When I tried to get a different company to do a second opinion about the condition of the roof, while still during inspection period, the company was denied access, as Joyce Cristo was too busy to allow entrance into the home. The day before closing, finally the construction company gave me another opinion, and said it would cost $6,250 to replace the damaged roof, and later informed me it would cost another $6,000 to fix spots damaged to ceiling from unsatisfactory roof. Since I addressed the problem with the roof, and told everyone I will not accept the home with an unsatisfactory roof during inspection period, and nothing was done to fix the problem as promised, I expect to be refunded the money in escrow, due to a breach of contract, in promising a fixed roof, when it is still in unsatisfactory condition. This realtor refused to let me have my deposit back, and did nothing to help. Very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Showed me some modular homes in Barefoot Bay, Florida. I put an offer in for a total of two homes with real estate agent, Joyce Cristo. The first home was infested with termites during inspection, so we did not get that home. When I looked at another home that I thought I liked, I put in an offer, and put an escrow down payment with this offer for $ 1,000. The home was advertised with a new roof installed in 2011, however, the home inspections revealed the roof was in unsatisfactory condition, and I learned there was leaks throughout. However, Joyce Cristo, real estate agent for First Choice Properties insured me that the company that installed the roof went out to fix the problems with the roof, so the problem would be fixed by closing.
