He was very good, but a little bit expensive. He is responsive, punctual, and professional. Overall, he has a C. I am going to use him in the future.

A leak from the shower pan caused damage to the opposite side of the bathroom wall. In order to properly dry out the area, part of the hallway wall was removed - approx. 18 inches high and 9 feet long). Tile in the bathroom shower was also removed. Because I did not have tile to repair the damaged area in the bathroom, all the tile had to be removed and replaced including the floor. Damage to the vanity, required that a new vanity be installed. Also, minor damage to the vanity in the guest bathroom, required repair. I cannot be happier with the work that Tinex Construction dba Pro Handyman Solutions did. They were on time, courteous and professional in every way. The hallway wall was repaired, painted and new baseboard installed. You couldn't tell that this wall was damaged after the crew finished with it. Before they started working on the master bathroom, the crew covered furniture in the adjoining bedroom to keep the dust to a minimum. They performed the necessary demo work (all wall and floor tiles) and removed the debris quickly. They finished the repairs to the shower pan which passed inspection without a hitch. When the crew went to install the tile, they found that the wall was uneven in some areas. Not a problem-they evened out the walls and did a fantastic job installing the tile. They were able to save some bathroom accessories and the verticals so that I did not have added expense. The newly evened out bathroom walls were painted where needed. A frameless shower door was installed as the last touch to my now beautiful bathroom. I would definitely call on Tinex Construction dba Handyman Solutions to do additional work for me. I feel very confident in their way of serving the customer. I know it will be a job well done.

Called multiple times to follow up with the estimate amount. Sent text message and left messages with the secretary and never received a response from Ruben. Disappointed because we are ready to move forward with the project.

the repairs went well, I placed a call, service came to my home withing 2 days. repairs were made same day as call.

Tinez Construction dba Pro Handyman Solutions was okay. It became more than I had expected, it was more money and things like that. He was okay but I will not call them back because the price they gave you when they come here is ethanol story. They asked for more and I said no. The quality was moderate. The response was pretty quick. They came out different times.

Contacted him for quotes on painting the exterior of my house, putting up a privacy fence in my back yard, setting a concrete patio in my back yard and remodeling 2 bathrooms. He wanted to charge $95 to come quote for the jobs. In this day and age, and in this economy it's ridiculous to charge almost $100 to come look at 4 jobs that would have potentially brought in about $20,000 worth of work for his business...especially when there are licensed, certified companies that specialize in each of these individual jobs that will come and quote for free. I'm glad his business is doing so well that he can charge people to get the information they need to make the decision to hire him - almost makes me feel like he thinks he is doing the customer a favor. I will give my money to more traditional and customer-service oriented companies.

Angie's List found someone else for me.

When I called, they wanted a fee to give an estimate. I asked about email estimates using pictures & measurements (based on prior Angie's reviews mentioning an easy email quote process). They said they could do it by email if I sent pictures & measurements and explained what I needed, which I did. After I didn't receive a response for over a week, I followed up to ask if they could give me the quote. They responded in a couple days (finally) to say they would be unable to help me with my countertop-only job (meanwhile I need a shower remodel to replace a leaking pan, no countertop in sight). If they can't keep a job straight to give a quote, I'm certainly glad I didn't pay them for the pleasure of being ignored and confused for someone else. I replied to point out their error and ask for info on my actual requested quote (just to give a last opportunity to salvage the situation), and I never received a response.

Did what I asked of him as to matching the plaster and stuccoing. Painted all areas afterwards. Was on time and didnot fool around.

I still waiting for them. They said always we are busi next week. They don't want to give the description of the work to be perform.

Everyone I spoke with, from the office staff to the carpenters, was professional and friendly. The work was done on a time and material basis( I was told they do not quote total job cost for handyman jobs like this). It took two carpenters the better part of a day, which is about what I expected based on other quotes. A third person went to buy the new lumber while the carpenters began removing the old wood. The quality of the work was good. I would definitely use this company again.

Ruben pays attention to detail and the customer's concerns. I would recommend them to other Angie's List members.

I needed to: repair the roof, repair a bathroom and remodel another; replace three windows and a patio door and build a patio 20 X 18 Pergola. A young lady come to estimate the job. She presented herself as the designer of the company. She reviewed the premises and promised to submit an estimate in five days. I never heard again from her. I called back but my calls went unanswered. I lef messages but dint receive an answer.

It took some additional time than that initially estimated due to several factors, but the result was fabulous. The quality of the work is excellent: specially tiling and electrical.

They made an appointment and never showed.

This was an emergency construction job on my historic home. It was a stressful situation but overall I was happy with the end results. In early November I had the roof replaced on my 85-year old home, which is in a historic district where all the homes are made of stucco over wood frames. During the re-roof, the roofers found that there was severe water damage to the chimney and chimney wall, to the point where they could not even finish the roof. I had to get a construction company out fast. That afternoon I called several people on Angie's List and Tinez was the first to respond (in fact, they may have been the only company I called that had an office manager who is almost always available by phone). At first, I was told that Tinez would come by first thing the next morning. But after we hung up and they saw my address, they noticed that my home is very close to their office near Bird and 72nd Avenue, and they called me back to say that the owner Ruben would stop by within the hour, which he did. He gave me an estimate that same day ($3200) and said they could start the very next day. The entire process took 6-7 weeks, due to both permitting delays as well as the Thanksgiving holiday. Demolition of the wall went quickly and the framing also went fairly quickly. The job failed the first inspection because the stucco fabric did not extend all the way to the very edges of the exposed wall, essentially leaving a border of <1 inch of bare plywood that would have stucco applied directly. Tinez came back, added more fabric underneath the mesh, and then it passed inspection the second time. During the delays for the permits, I would have liked to have received updates from Tinez about how the inspections were going, when they were scheduled, and what the general timeline looked like. These didn't come to me automatically, but whenever I emailed Ruben to ask any question, he responded quickly, even on weekends. I was very happy with the quality of the work from all the workers, and everyone was skilled as well as friendly and respectful. I gave them a B on price because I *think* I got an okay price, but I didn't comparison shop at all. The reason the final bill exceeded the original quote of $3200 was partly because I opted for primer and paint, which was $850 and was not incuded in the original quote, and also because they paid $350 in permits that I had to repay, and they charged me about $230 for extra lumber, because they used more than they anticipated due to major termite damage.

Ruben was prompt, professional, available, and generally a true pleasure to work with. He responded to all issues immediately and addressed any problems rapidly. We were out of town during the work and all was in perfect order and clean when we returned. I would recommend Ruben and his company with no hesitation.

We found Tinez Construction, and about 5 other companies on Angie's List, and after contacting all 6 companies and getting quotes from all of them we made the decision to go with Tinez Construction. Pricing: Tinez Construction was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive quote we got. It was well wroth the price though. Professionalism: Ruben and Jessica, the owners, were both extremely helpful, punctual, and would answer our questions (calls and text messages) no matter when we got a hold of them. Since I work from 8AM to 6-7PM, Ruben and Jessica would make sure that they were always available on weekends to meet with me and discuss our project. After going through extremely bad experiences with 5 contractors on previous projects at our home, Ruben and Jessica provided us with the best care one could ask for. Now, there are always things that are unaccounted for especially in older houses and also when dealing with pulling permits with the City of Miami. Those are things that one cannot hold their contractor accounted for, and one can just hope that they do the very best to make sure that the owner is aware in every stage of the project. Ruben and Jessica did that. They would notify us of every step that was going on (we had asked for this) and would let us know what was approved and what was not approved and the reasoning why. Sometimes when remodeling a house that is more than 60 years old you will have some surprises when you start the project. the problem to me is not the surprises but how your contractor will deal with those problems. Ruben and Jessice exceeded my expectations in that area. I have a friend who remodeled his house and the contractor didnt notify them that their pipes for the sewer and water was too old and needed to be replaced.The renovation was done and within a year, they needed to be redone and replaced. With Ruben and Jessica when we reached a similar problem (I added a new bathroom and also made the master bathroom a lot bigger) they notified me that the pipes I had would not be able to withstand the additional bathroom and bigger master bathroom. Now, I would prefer to be told and given the option about this problem, than have a similar situation that happened to my friend. When we came across problems with Ruben and Jessica they would tell us what they believed was the correct way to be done, and the other options we had in fixing the problem. we would then come up with a solution and they would always make sure that we felt comfortable with the decision and pricing as well. I have never had such a high level of professionalism when dealing with contractors and all of their workers were extremely polite, well mannered, and respectful. I will always use Tinez Construction for future projects in my house (Already have 3 more projects planned with them for next year: Roof, Driveway, Outdoor Kitchen) and will always be the person whom i recommend to when asked if there is a contractor i recommend in Miami. If you need to have anything done in your house, this is the company to have the job done with.

Ruben and Jessica were very professional from day one. We had recently purchased a new home that needed to be completely renovated. We we looking for a contractor that could do it all and manage the project management. Tinez construction was exactly what we were looking for. They came out to meet us and provided an estimate within two days. We decided to move forward and they assisted us from the design phase, to the construction, all the way through to the very last detail including furniture and window treatments. The experience was great and they followed through on all their promises. Ruben and Jessica worked with me through out the entire project to make sure we were on schedule and budget. When completing a large project it's important to have communication on a daily basis and it made me very comfortable and I could always reach them. Overall I can say that I am very pleased with both the quality and customer service the company has provided me. I will be using tinez construction for future projects and will recommend them to all my family and friends.

Everything came out great. We are very happy how are new bathroom looks. They were very responsive and available every time we called.

Ruben was very responsive to my emails and gave us an estimate using two photos of the bathroom that needed work. We set a date and he and Joaquin showed up late on the first day but did call to let me know. Joaquin then removed the two layers of tile and found that the cement underneath was deteriorated. He left for the day, saying he'd be back first thing the next morning to vacuum up the debris and set down new cement. He was there promptly at 8:00am the next morning. Ruben decided that they should remove the cement, exposing the wood underneath. Joaquin then put down a new layer of plywood and cement board to serve as a good base for the tile. He lost some time when he had to wait for Ruben to bring him some supplies and, by the end of the day, had only managed to complete most of the floor work. He returned at 8:00am the next day and got busy putting in the new toilet, vanity, and finishing the flooring. He finished at 1:30pm and the bathroom looks great! We would use them again. The original estimate was for $1050 and we ended up spending another $340 on materials for the floor.

All jobs performed have been done in a professional and timely manner by qualified personnel. In addition, the owner of the company, Ruben, has been present each time to oversee that the work is done as expected, and to answer any questions we could have. He has also replied to all my calls, and has even helped on matters not related to jobs performed. We purchased our home in October of 2012, and had one contractor nightmare after the other. Tinez Construction (dba Pro Handyman Solutions) has really been a life saver for us. They have constantly provided quality service at a reasonable price, always performed by professionals who are respectful, clean, organized, and knowledgeable about the job at hand. They are always on time and ready to work, and always clean up any mess created during the job. I HIGHLY recommend this company, from big renovations to small wall painting jobs, I am very happy with the services provided, and will continue to use them as needed.

The final product was quite good. However, it took longer to finish than it should have. Ruben was very responsive and did what was necessary to assure that the finished product was first rate.

We contacted several companies for bathroom remodel estimates. Tines was very responsive and professional. The company representative arrived on time, asked lots of questions and offered helpful suggestions. A very detailed estimate was delivered promptly. Although we did not end up using the company for this project, I will definitely consider them for future projects!
