The Billy Goat

I tried to set up an appointment to address my lawncare needs. Danny assured me that someone would call on their way and be there by the end of the week. I called twice to confirm because I had not heard from anyone. I was told each time not to worry that someone would definitely make it out. I received an email the following week with an estimate. When I called to figure out the disconnect and why no one called when they were at my property, he told me that I should find another company. This was second estimate I received from The Billy Goat and was higher than the first. After our conversation I received a text message from Danny saying, "In my 15 years of service I've learned when you smell 💩 (poop emoji) run the other way, So you proved me right. Have a good day." BUYER BEWARE!!!! Do not waste your time. Unbelievably unprofessional.

The company is easy to get a hold of and always show up the day that was scheduled. A little more than other lawn services but finally found a company that shows up and does an excellent job.

I first hired them to do some tree trimming and the sales person, Maria gave me a price of $1250 to trim 5 trees. I agreed to that and they spent almost 2 days doing the work. One of the trees wasn't finished as I had requested. I called them back after the crew left to let them know. The next day they came back and fixed the tree to my liking. I was able to arrange a payment plan with them for the trees. Once I got that all paid for, then they sent me an additional $350 bill for the extra day they had to come back to fix the issue with the tree. I had also requested them to trim a palm tree. I was told it would cost $75, but then when they came to do the work, I was told it would actually be $150! So we were back and forth quite a bit about these price increases. The owner even showed up to my home one day, to ask about the money. The only person home was my mother and law. Beside from the issues with the tree trimming, their lawn service was not very well done either. They go very quickly and don't pay attention to any details around the yard.

The Billy Goat seemed interested in charging a large fee for a "clean-up" and then they were completely disinterested in performing scheduled maintenance or responding to phone calls or e-mails. I let it go for a while because it is very hard to find a landscape maintenance service in Miami Beach but after a while I couldn't even tell if they were showing up or not because of the way the plants looked, so I finally got rid of them. Complete waste of money. The only part of their operation that seemed functional was the billing.

We went through a quote process with three other companies and we are certain that we could not have had a better outcome. The Billy Goat's sales associate Robert Chinea 786-306-6458 (m) took great care of us as customers and did an outstanding job from initial contact to project finish. His professionalism combined with the company's expertise made this project an excellent experience. Everything from initial consultation through the work and final adjustments worked quickly and Robert remained on top of the entire project, taking careful notes about our needs and preferences and delivering great results. Robert was superbly responsive by phone, email and text. The interaction with the office for invoicing was equally professional and pleasant. In addition, we were impressed by the fact that the owner of the Billy Goat himself stopped by to check on our installation. The Billy Goat deserves the highest rating and they now also do our regular lawn service.
