Everything went well when the finally showed up. They were delayed because of rainy weather.

The plumbing was so bad that a new contractor had to be brought in to finish the job. This contractor smelled of alcohol. When we withheld partial payment to get the job completed, we were threatened with a lien on the property and they even pretended to be the City of Miami calling about permit violations. We paid them in full to get them to move on, then hired another contractor to start over.

He came out the Monday after I purchased the Big Deal to give an estimate. He sent me an estimate that did not reflect that I had purchased my Big Deal. I called to ask about the estimate and the labor would've been much higher because my bathroom was larger then what the deal was made for. However, I had to keep telling him that I purchased the Big Deal and the cost should have been lower then what he was giving me--once he finally looked it up that I purchased it the cost did not change at all. I asked him to send me an updated estimate report and I have not seen anything since then. In the end I requested for a refund of my purchase.

Maxi and his team were great. From the moment I reached out after seeing their deal on Angie's List, he was great about ensuring that everything was done with the utmost professionalism. While others were willing to quote from pictures of the job alone, Maxi insisted in coming out to look at the project first. He did a great job of explaining the situation I was facing and offering a long term solution that better met my needs than my initial plan of attack. After that, scheduling was easy, around when I was already going to be away from the house so that my dog wouldn't be in the way. Rain delayed the project, as it tends to do in South Florida, but instead of rushing to finish up early, they kept at it until it was up to their standards (which have far more nuanced attention to details than I would have ever noticed). They were flexible and proactive about communicating at every step in the process, and I am definitely more than satisfied with the brand new deck. I would gladly trust them with any project, because Maxi is willing to tell you the truth, not just what sounds good. I can't say enough good things about this experience, especially in comparison to most of my experiences so far in South Florida. They're the real deal, you'll be happy you hired them.

I am disappointed in this experience and it's my first one on Angie's list and will be asking for a refund. I spoke with the contact at Surreal Construction who put me in touch with one of their workers. Here's what happened: 1. He came to look at the rooms on Friday Sept 12 2. He was maybe going go paint on Saturday Sept 13; that didn't work out on either part 3. He said he would be at my house Monday morning 4. Sunday night, September 14 at 10:30 pm I realized he didn't confirm so I texted him; he responded he couldn't make it Monday. Not only was that frustrating as I was expecting him in less than 12 hours, but, when was he going to let me know he couldn't make it?! I texted him late Sunday night. If he couldn't make it, he should have let me know much sooner. 5. He then said he could possibly come Wednesday, but wasn't sure. 6. He never followed up until I reached out on Tuesday and he said he couldn't make it. 7. He said he would try to come Thursday, Sept 17 in the afternoon; that didn't happen and he didn't confirm until yet again, I reached out to him. 8. Finally today, Sept 18 I texted him and said I need to know if he can do the job and if he can't, he needs to be honest and tell me. He called me back and said he now wasn't available for one more week (Sept 25). That is too late for me. I wouldn't recommend this company based on this experience, unfortunately.

Once again! This company has blown my mind. My daughter has been trying to sell her house for months. Her realtor made some suggestions which would require some out of pocket expences. Hesitant to spend any extra money, being she had just moved out of state and acquiring a new home I recommended Romy to her and see if she can work out a deal with her budget within the realtors suggestions. Between Romy and Maxi they were able to rehab this home in 4 days time to make the house more enticing to the future prospective. Within 1 week my daughter received and offer and they are on their way to closing in 30 days. I cant be any more appreciative on the help they have given my family and I. They will always stay on my speed dial and I would recommend them to anyone. They have fair pricing and great quality above anything. Thank you once again and I will keep spreading the word on your great work!

I have to start off by saying that Romy was a professional. At the beginning of the project we had so many problems with the Building Department and she was able to rectify all the issues with the Architects and Engineers. Once construction started Surreal Construction was on the ball. From scheduling to completion. We decided to keep our home and upgrade our living hoping the economy and our decision pays off in the long run. We went through an extensive overhaul of our house from addition to a full remodel interior wise. We were on a budget to complete this project and they were able to fall in close to what we had expected. Our remodel consisted of a 3 bedroom 2 bath which we had to add 1 bedroom for our new arrival. We had new electrical, plumbing, framing, tile, pre-engineered floors,full paint job of the entire house inside and out and my ultimate favorite was my new kitchen with my new quartz countertops which she helped me pick out. I can not not believe the outcome of my new beautiful home and I owe it all to Surreal Construction with there knowledge, creativity, teamwork and skilled employees.

It went great, very professional job, from start to finish, no details were left unmet! The overall job took 4 weeks from demo to final completion. The employees were very polite and professional, we were advised of all phases of the project through its duration and no hidden surprises came about. They were very easy to work with, we selected all of our fixtures, paint and tile. During the job the house was never left dirty, no garbage was left outside, its surprising to find a contractor of this status.
