+ -1 moreNever signed a contract. Tom showed up at my house to discuss a quote and was completely rude and simply walked away without any discussion. Please do not hire this company that level of customer service is not expected at McDonalds let alone someone that is preparing to do thousands of dollars worth of work. Thank God we didn’t sign any paperwork! If this company is rude when trying to attain work I can’t imagine how they would treat you after you give them work. Complete disappointment!

+ 0 moreMy old tankless water heater died and I needed to replace it asap. I got a new one online and needed someone to install it and do some adjustments on the plumbing for the new equipament. They were on time, polite and clean, and did the job very fast. I got a bad luck with the new heater and had to call them back 3 days later because the heater was way too loud and I tough it could be air in the pipes. It turns out the equipament was defective and I needed another replacement. They charged me their hour for the second installation but it looks good now!

Description of Work: I have hired South End Plumbing for multiple projects on my residence. Prior to moving into our house we needed to replace the existing piping under the house with PVC. Existing galvanized and cast iron pipes were cracked or in need of repair. sanitary lines and hot water lines replaced. Second time, I needed to have my sewer lateral replaced because I had tree roots growing in and around the existing terracotta lateral line.

+ 0 moreAll that I can say is that I felt like I had family here doing the work. Everyone that I associated with from the office staff to my daily visiting workers were super professional. The work was done with great care and with all of our special requests considered and met. The work continued over approx......12 weeks...which could be very uncomfortable, but every effort was made so that we could stay in our home during the work. This included doing one bathroom at a time so that we would still have a working facility. It would have been much easier for them to do it all at once. Our dog even missed interacting with all of the workers once the work was completed. I would not hesitate calling South End for any future jobs.
Description of Work: South End replaced all of our sewer lines and put in the plumbing for two bathroom remodels due to collapsing of old pipes.

+ -1 moreOur washing machine was filing up with water for no reason. The entire garage was flooded. They came out and determined that the flow switch was broken. It was not possible to fix this situation, so they tried to shut off the water from the valve, the valve broke. One problem led to another problem. The owner is brilliant and was able to take care of this issue and stop the flooding. He was able to change and put on brand new hot and cold valves. We are forever grateful to him! I would 100% recommend this company to anyone and use them again if we needed too! His fees are reasonable as well.

Description of Work: This was about a year ago. The toilets were not flushing and it appeared to be a septic tank issue. They were extremely punctual and did a thorough assessment of the problem it seemed to me. They did what they had to do at what seemed a reasonable cost and am very happy. Will definitely use them again.

The gentleman in charge is at least 80 years old and probably been doing the work since he was very young, has tremendous experience, work on a problem, analyze it, and sometimes he help with the work but he has a crew that come in to do the work. They are excellent and their pricing is good, work is good, honest, and I could not ask for a better person to deal with.
Description of Work: I used South End Plumbing to replace a main waterline for our rental house and also did swimming pool plumbing.

+ -1 moreDon't know what we would have done if not for Tom. We did not think he ad 24 hour service so we called a z24 hour service provider who said they would possibly have someone out in 3 hours!
Description of Work: They saved us! We were out of town when our son came home very late to find a flood in our house. Tom got to our house in about 15 Minutes and stopped the flooding. Of course we have lots to still do, but he saved us

+ -1 moreWe agreed on half the cost. The bolts holding the sink handles never fixed. Shocked to see them rusting.
Description of Work: Rick the owner's son quoted me $832 to move tub handles and spout. I was worried the tiles would fall off with all the vibrations. Apparently the tile was not put on properly. They did fall off. Living off a small fixed income Rick came back to me he had to have $427.38 more which I had not budgeted for. We agreed on half. I had used the company for many years. They had gotten very expensive. They also had two plumbers there that had worked for the company for a long time and most of the time had done a good job. I was so shocked when he told me he needed more money. Where I worked if we quoted wrong and charged that price we eat the additional amount. Now the sink handles in my bathroom are rusting the bolts holding them under the sink. It is just a nightmare they had also installed the sink handles. Trying a new plumber on the list and hope they can get the bolt problem straighten out. So two problems the worst the additional charge like a surprise attack.
