Small Time Movers

The team was punctual and very courteous. They were careful with the delicate furniture and took time and care to wrap each piece against possible damage. Turns out that I have to move again this week. I've already scheduled the move with them.

We called four different companies and decided to go with Small Time Movers. Nelson and his crew were punctual, courteous and efficient. They provided an accurate estimate for their services and packed all items with great care. If I had to move again I would most definitely hire them again.

Gabriel and the crew that came were beyond professional, helpful, and efficient. They padded and/or wrapped everything, dropped off boxes ahead of the move, and were the very best moving company I've ever used. I would strongly recommend this awesome moving company to all my family and friends. They made this stressful experience as smooth as humanly possible. I was so impressed that I talked to our realtor who promptly took a business cards for future moves for her clients. They were so reasonable that I gladly tipped them at the end and they deserved even more for how they handled everything. What a great experience that was. Thank you Gabriel.

Nothing short of fantastic! I found Mauricio on Angie's List after calling around to more than a dozen movers across South Florida. I kept getting quoted $1200+ for a small volume - but long distance - move. Once I called Mauricio with Small Time Movers, I knew he was the man for the job. In addition to working within my budget and coming in well below his competitors, he and his team were able to handle the tight schedule I needed on my move in date. The apartment building I was moving into had a very small window for tenant moves. He had to be wrapped up in the mid afternoon, but taking into account he couldn't even start the move in Miami until 9am, and then braving South a Florida morning rush hour to get to Downtown Orlando. It was no small feat, but Mauricio and his team with Small Time Movers handled it without breaking a sweat, and kept me posted every step of the way. All items were handled with care and Mauricio's team finished with plenty of time to spare. Will absolutely be using him for my next move!

I was very pleased with my experience with Small Time Movers. Mauricio and his team were very professional under difficult conditions, as they moved my belonging from one condo unit to another in a complex that has strict regulations and is a challenging atmosphere. The move was to the third floor, and so they were slowed down by waiting for the elevator. In addition, there was a rain delay. They wrapped all of my case goods in moving blankets, and the cloth items (bed, sofa, etc.) in plastic wrap. All item arrived without any moving damage. In addition, I had 130 boxes in which I attempted to wrap everything properly; there wasn?t one broken item in any of the boxes. One of the gentlemen did break an item, but in his defense I didn?t box the item, so I need to take some of the responsibility for that little misstep. The outcome of the move exceeded my expectations. I will recommend Small Time Movers to anyone, and would use them again if the need arises.

Maurice's crew did an excellent job. Wrapped all furniture and everything arrived safely. We also made two stops on the way to the new location. The crew was very accommodating and professional. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Nelson was my contact and the lead. On the day before, he came by with 3 other gentlemen who packed up pretty much everything. They did an excellent job of making sure everything was packed well. The following day they moved everything and spent all day doing it, as it was a lot of stuff. Even though was moving from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment, it was really only 2 bedrooms of furniture we moved as well as all living room, kitchen, and a lot of clothing. They worked hard and did not stop until everything was done and when they came over to the new place, they unpacked all the furniture and made sure everything was in place, in terms of furniture and boxes. They were professional, kind and extremely hard working. I would recommend them again in a heart beat. Even my friends thought they were great. I would definitely use them again.

I hired small time movers based on the excellent Angie's List review that they received and I definitley was not let down. The building I moved out of required that the Movers provide their insurance information prior to the move and Gabriel from small time made sure that these documents were received by the building. It took a few phone calls but he got it done and we did not have any delays for this. We had three movers arrive on time and they were all polite and helpful. They really impressed me with how careful they were with our furniture and they made sure that everything was properly wrapped and protected. We did not have a single damaged or broken item from the move at all. The guys did a perfect job. When we arrived at the new house Gabriel and his crew were very careful with the hard wood floors and put blankets down to protect them and even took the time to put felt pads on the bottom of our funiture to protect the floors. The whole move was completed in about 5 hours. I would definitely call Small Time Movers if we move again and I would recommend them to anyone.

Scheduling the move was very easy. Just called up and they checked the schedule and had a slot for the day we wanted to move. I called the week before to confirm and they said they were ready to go. I got a call the day before to confirm the address, arrival time, and drop off location. Arrival time... This was the only negative part of the service. They were an hour late in arriving. At least they called to let me know they were going to be late. The move itself went very well. The guys were very professional and cautious with our items. The disassembled and reassembled all of the items that needed it (beds, tables, etc.). When it came to pay they quoted an extra $85 for travel time that was not quoted when I booked the service, however, after calling the main office they confirmed that they would not charge the travel time. Overall, I was pleased with the service and the price. I would use Small Time Movers again.

OUTSTANDING!!!!! Discussed the details of the move to pick up contents of a house in Ocala and then deliver the contents to 3 locations in Miami: 1 - my other daughter's house, 2 - an efficiency, 3 - a Public Storage warehouse. Received detailed estimate in advance, met with them before the move, and selected the date. Nelson was a pro coordinating everything and he and his two assistants were quick, efficient and very careful packing, loading and unloading everything. Got an Angie's List 10% discount on the labor. Would recommend these guys to anyone.

Small Time Movers did a great job. There was excellent communication regarding the details of the move. Gabriel explained their pricing, and any extra costs that could occur. My final price was as quoted. No hidden extras were added. Three men and a truck arrived promptly. They worked quickly and efficiently, but also carefully. They packed breakables carefully. The move out required going up and down a flight of steps. They did so with no problems. They were pollite and friendly. I felt comfortable with them moving my belongings. I would definitely use Small Time Movers again.

Showed up on time. Everything professional except one cigarette butt left in my yard, and 10% off coupon only took 10% off labor, not off entire job. Very thorough, very careful.

You can't do better than Small Time Movers! The only issue I had (which is why there is a single "B" grade) was telephone communication. Gabriel doesn't interrupt his work to answer his cell phone - which is a good thing, but can be frustrating when you are nervous about a forthcoming move and you want to talk, but he does get back to you later. I did learn, however, that if you email Gabriel, you get an immediate response. So, my friends, when you decide you need a great mover and hire Small Time Movers, use email and you won't be disappointed. Small Time Movers were punctual and professional. Not only was their estimate very competitive, but Gabriel even charged me less than the estimate for packing because it took less time and fewer boxes - what moving company have you ever heard of charging less than their estimate??!! Their work was efficient and they were very careful with my furniture. Gabriel knew I was very concerned about several delicate antique items. He reassured me that they would be careful and they really were! They even asked if it was OK to take a lunch break - that's a first for me, being asked if it was OK. Not only did the work performed exceed my expectations, but the crew was friendly, helpful, and even fun. They cheered me up when I was getting frustrated about where to put everything that they were moving in to my new home and they made me smile. If you are at all like me and hate moving, get frustrated and concerned about moving, then hire Small Time Movers - you will not regret it and will be happy you did. These guys were great and although I never want to move again, if i do, these are my guys!!

I love the guys at Small Time Movers. They originally moved me last summer (July2013) from a 3bedroom to a storage unit (temporarily). I decided to use them again due to their professionalism and hard-work. This time they moved my stuff from the storage unit to my new town home apartment that started on the second floor. I thought move will take all day; however, due to their hard work and dedication they did the job faster than I thought. I'm happy I hired them again. I will definite hire them again on my next move!!! A++++

They provide a great service, showed up on time and starting working. We had a four men crew. They were very professional and never stopped working. We had lots of clothes to be moved as well as furniture so they had to make two trips. Started at 9:30 am and finished at 1:30 am the next day. They never stopped working.

Had an appointment for a quote that I left work early to make sure I was in time for. No one showed up. No one called. When I called to ask where they were Leandro (not the original person I spoke with, that was Gabriel) had no knowledge of my appointment and Gabriel was "busy doing something but could get back to me in about an hour". I can't risk that kind of nonchalant attitude when moving day comes.

It went wonderfully, this was a complicated process as I moved to another city after everything was in storage, but they were willing to continue working with me and deliver my goods when the new house closed. I have moved many, many times (over 20) and believe me, this is the best moving crew I have every had the pleasure to work with. I was dreading the ususal hassels and wondering what would be broken and/or missing. Due to their care, only one item out of an entire 10x20 packed storeage room even had a chip. That is extradorinary. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Don't let the name of the company fool you: Small Time Movers aren't small time by any means: this company is big time in every way! The 3-man team was scheduled for 8:30 am and arrived at 8:25. FANTASTIC! (Anyone whose hired contractors in South Florida knows how rare it is for them to arrive on time.) Unfortunately, my old condo association did not let them enter the premises until 9 AM. Did they get upset? Not at all. Nelson, the gentleman leading the team, was patient and understanding. They waited patiently across the street in the public parking lot until 9 AM came, and began work immediately. When they came upstairs to begin, Nelson explained what they were going to do, step by step. As he explained, his crew, Leo and Edinson, began moving our belongings. Shortly thereafter, they were off and running. We sat aside and even had breakfast while they worked, and boy did they work. They moved fast, all while taking incredible care not to break, damage, dent, tear, or destroy any of our belongings. For example, many of our boxes were labeled "FRAGILE". The guys were extremely respectful of those labels, and treated those boxes with care, communicating with each other when they had a fragile-labeled box that was being passed from one guy to another, ensuring that everyone was aware of what they were handling. They were incredible. They wrapped up our furniture very securely, making sure to take extra care to ensure nothing could or would be damaged in transit. As for getting our things down to their truck, only one elevator was working in the building that day, so they had to share the elevator with other tenants in the building. They were still able to get everything downstairs with a couple of hours. Again, these guys are fast. They recognize that the customers' cost increases with each passing hour, and do their absolute best to move quickly and safely to ensure you get the lowest cost and best service. Once everything was in the truck, they drove straight over to our new condo and began moving our belongings upstairs immediately. No lunch break, even though they deserved it. (In retrospect, had I known they were going to skip lunch, I would've bought it for them. It would've been a small price to pay for how hard they were working.) Again, the guys got to work, and we just sat by and watched them work. Now, this is where things get really good. Every time they brought new stuff upstairs, not only did they ask where the items should go so that they could place them in their correct spots, but they even placed the furniture in its proper place within each room. Our bed? Against the wall that faces the ocean in the master bedroom. Nightstands? Clearly next to the bed. Couch? In the den, also against the correct wall. They made sure everything was in its proper place, saving us the hassle of having to move boxes and furniture again later. Once they were done, Nelson took the time to explain the details of the costs. There were no surprises. They were clear about what they charged and why. Best of all, even though I requested they be there at 8:30, and they weren't allowed to start until 9, they only charged me from 9 AM on. How great is that? They didn't have to lose out on a half hour of billing, but it was kind of them to not charge me for that extra 30 minutes. Nelson was well within his right to charge me, but chose not to. A few points to consider when you hire this company: 1. Things go faster if you stay out of their way. Don't hover over them. Don't bother them. Trust them, give them space, stay out of their way, and they'll get the job done fast. We did, and it was fantastic. 2. Make sure to have everything packed up, because they charge by the hour. If they have to wait for you to pack anything, or if they have to pack it for you, that adds time to the process and money to your final bill. Furniture doesn't need to be packed up; they'll handle that. But do pack everything else that fits in a box. Again, we had everything ready to go, and it seemed to make their job easier and my bill cheaper. 3. If possible, have beverages available to them. It allows them to rehydrate when necessary and keep working fast to move your stuff quickly and safely. Overall, I am ecstatic with their work and will certainly use them again; no question about it. My sister, who was there to help me with the move, was so impressed that she's already stated that she'll use them during her next move. I also have other family who are planning to move to Miami Beach, and when they do, I'll make sure they use Small Time Movers. Thank you to Nelson, Leo and Edinson. You 3 made the start to our new lives in our new home a fantastic one. Thank you so much for taking care of our belongings like they were your own. I'm looking forward to continued business with you in the future.

They stuck to the price and finished on time. The only problem was they were 20 minutes late, they attributed this to traffic, however there is always traffic in Miami, so they should have planned accordingly, since my condo association gave us a 3 hours to move out. Overall everyone did a good job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Small Time Movers was by far the best moving company that we have ever used. The team was respectful and caring of all our things (nothing was broken, scratched or dented). They took extra care and helped us immensely by padding all the furniture before it was ever moved into our new home that had brand new floors. They went above and beyond our expectations in organizing our new home. We will certainly be using them again for any future moving needs.

Nelson Molano was excellent he gave us a great price and a straight forward quote. Nelson and Leandro were very efficient, took great care of our things and moved us VERY quickly. They are very respectful and genuinely nice guys. I would recommend them to anyone moving in Miami. Ask for Nelson.
