Nelson (the manager/owner) and his coworker were punctual, extremely professional, and took great care with everything they handled. I am very impressed with his attitude and speed with which they flawlessly moved all the pieces from a 2 story house into the eighth floor of a condominium. He and his coworker wrapped all my valuables like they were wrapping a mummy (without me even asking him to do so), so it was very reassuring after seeing how he operates that nothing would be damaged. These men will always remain at the top of my list and anyone that asks me for a referral I will not hesitate. This forum is exactly why I hired them and they did not let me down. Nelson was super receptive when I called to get an estimate. He was very honest and straightforward about costs. He and his crew met me at 1p sharp (punctual) at the shipping terminal to pick up my stuff. Then they carefully moved all my belongings from the trailer onto their truck. They were very patient with me and pointed out everything that had been damaged by the shipping from Philly to Miami so that I could document it. Then they put everything into storage; the storage unit was set up perfectly. They are masters of organization - now I can easily access my belongings. The move was completed in under 2.5 hours (using 3 men and a truck). I will definitely be using them again to get my stuff out of storage and have already recommend their services to my friends and family. Do not hesitate to use them - they are the most affordable movers (after getting 4 quotes from Angies List), punctual, patient and most importantly extremely careful with your things (not 1 thing was broken by Nelson or his team - which is very impressive). They made this leg of my move so very smooth that I wish I could have used them for the entire portion.

From the moment I contacted them for an estimate to the time they finished the move they were very responsive and professional. They showed up on time for the job, brought a great crew that worked hard and knew what they were doing. Due to my work I've had to move several times and this is by far the best moving experience I've had.

Good experience. They came early, did the packing, moved our stuff, and were done by mid-afternoon. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, charged fairly, and were friendly and professional. I would use them again for any local move.

The broke my beveled living room table glass top because they carelessly wrapped it only in blankets even though I had authorized the use of bubbles, carton, tape, boxes etc. Since then I have been waiting for them to bring a replacement!!!!!! The blame game goes like this: "Luciano wrapped it wrong and I did not know it was fragile". "He should have been more careful when he picked it up". To their credit they did show up with a replacement glass table top, but it was the wrong size!! I had offered for them on various tel conversations to take the table with them so that any new top would fit. They refused. The owner Edison Cruz told us "whoever broke it had to pay for the new glass". So where does that leave me the customer? Edison Cruz has since stopped responding to our phone calls. And I have a beautiful living room table I still cannot use!! I do not recommend doing business with people who shy away from assuming their responsibilities!

Small time movers was slow to return my initial call (two days). Finally, I got a call from Edison and we set up a time for him to come look at our house an create an estimate. He didn't show up and didn't call to cancel that appointment. I called them again and set up another appointment. Edison showed up and did a walk through to inventory our stuff. He also apologized for missing the first appointment and assured me that is not how he does business. Then he gave me a "disclosure" and an explanation that they do not offer additional insurance (other than the minimum 60cents per pound). As he was leaving, he told me that he was going to fax over the formal estimate later that day. it is now about five days later and it never showed up.

The move went very smooth. Despite very short notice, the company was able to accommodate my moving schedule. The movers were very professional and took care to move things carefully.

Small Time Movers were punctual, friendly and efficient. They worked non-stop with no wasted time. They even went out of their way to dump some unwanted furniture for me. I have already recommended them to 3 more people. God Bless them.

They arrived on time. Each piece was wrapped and taped in moving blankets so they did not get damaged. Extremely professional and courteous. They also removed all the wrapping materials including some that was not theirs.

I selected Small Time Movers from Angie's List because of its excellent rating and the relatively small size of the job. Owner, Edison Cruz, promptly returned my initial telephone call and gave me the information I wanted in a professional, detailed and respectful way. The next day, on my second call, we agreed to conduct business within a couple of days and I felt reassured by Edison's good recollection of our first conversation that everything would be fine. I also e-mailed photos of the pieces to be moved. A confirmation call from Nelson with the name of the crew supervisor as they were on their way was also appreciated. Some of my pieces are antiques requiring special care and so they did! Nelson the supervisor and his crew Miguel and Mauricio were absolutely knowledgeable and careful. Honestly, it was the least stressful move I ever had. Because I have total confidence in Small Time Movers I will not hesitate to call them again when the time comes to get my things out of storage. The company owner and one other worker moved furniture and some boxes from old house to new house. It took about 3 hours. They worked quickly, consistently, and carefully. They did not damage any furniture. Spoke good English and were very polite.

Noted what needed to be done and organized and completed each task both carefully and quickly. Offered suggestions and volunteered services I had not even specified; i.e. connecting TV and rearranging garage. Maurice and Nelson went above and beyond what I expected.

The initial introduction by phone proved the saying, first impressions are lasting ones. Edison was extremely professional and friendly on the phone, showing true dedication and displayed his attention to customer service. Not only was Edison and his team friendly, they went above and beyond what I would expect from a moving company. The care they gave to my newly purchased furniture as well as family heirlooms was handled with kid gloves. Despite the rain and long drive from Miami to the Middle Keys, both the furniture and moving team arrived in mint condition and the team still had their smiling faces. I never heard a complaint from anyone, nor rolling eyes or huffing and puffing trying to navigate the furniture up and down stairs at the condo and into their new location. The team spirit these men exhibited was like a breath of fresh air. The one thing I think of when I recall my experience with Small Time Movers is their honesty and integrity with their business and customers. This truly was a pleasurable experience.

This was the best move I have ever experienced. The 3-man team was extremely professional, very nice and very efficient. They worked non-stop from 9:30 AM until the job was finished. Edison was extremely detail oriented and helpful. He pointed out any damage he saw, wrapped up my belongings very securely to prevent any new damage and even fixed a couple of items!

Overall, the experience was wonderful.

Showed up on time, and the owner of the company (Edison) was there the whole time working along side the rest of the crew. They charge by the hour and the job took and hour or two longer than they originally estimated, but can't complain as they worked very hard and practically non-stop with very few breaks. It even rained during the move and the all broke out raincoats and kept on going. Edison is very conscientious, careful with everything, makes you feel at ease. I would definitely recommend them. The are the perfect "small time movers", just as the name implies.

THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL WITH MY FURNITURE AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS. I WAS DEFINITELY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID.
