They were very good. I spent about $1200 and a lot of it was in boxes. They came from Miami and I relied on the Angie's List recommendation. So, I think we also got a 10% discount right there. There is a lady that handles it. I went around and measured everything. She was then able to pretty much figure out the size of the truck. They picked it up in a relatively small box truck and combined it later. It was delivered within two weeks. It was a huge truck. The driver and his son were quite capable. They didn't break anything. Earnest, the father and his son were the principal drivers along with a helper. They got enough stuff to fill a huge van that went to Columbus, Chicago and Carmel. I couldn't believe how good they were at packing. We thought that the price was good for what they had to do. We called them on Tuesday and they were there on Thursday. They were punctual both for the pick up and the delivery. They called ahead and told us a very close time of when they thought they would be there. They took a little longer getting here, but they kept us informed. They seemed to know what they were doing. If need be, I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Well, this was a mixed bag. There was much to recommend Regions, but one incident really soured me on the company. To begin with, however, I must say the fellow who came to do the estimate was quite thorough, very professional and nice. And the price was fantastic compared to everyone else I called (even better then the Angie's List coupon). So Regions was an easy choice. For the actual move, we were on a tight schedule, with limited elevator times for move-out and move-in. The crew was supposed to arrive early, so they could start wrapping all the furniture, bring up the wardrobe boxes, and take down a few boxes. Apparently, they got here early, but just sat downstairs waiting. They called up, and I told them to come up, but they didn't, and didn't follow-up until I went downstairs (at which point it was nearly time to for my allotted elevator time to begin). Chalk that up to bad communication. The crew chief was very nice, professional, and very thorough. There were also two guys doing most of the moving. One spoke some limited English, the other didn't seem to understand much English (I don't speak Spanish), but the crew chief was bilingual. I must give them credit for wrapping. They spent an inordinate amount of time wrapping things with furniture pads. I think this company would be great for a long-distance move. But, we had a very limited time, and while I appreciate the effort, I don't think the furniture all had to be wrapped with that much padding and tape. It just made things go much longer than needed/available. But, I think two of the guys did try to hurry. (The third, who didn't speak English, asked me to give him a box of clothes that had been labeled "donate", which put me in a rather uncomfortable position, as those items were already promised.) For the most part, the move went well, though a little longer as noted above. The move-in was of course much quicker. The big reason I am not thrilled is because while in the living room, I heard a loud crash from the hall, where the two movers were. I should have gone out to look, but did not. No one said anything to me. While unpacking my boxes the next day, I discovered what must have made that sound. When I opened a small, specially-shaped dish box, with red and white fragile stickers all over it, and clearly marked DISH BOX, I found most of my dishes had been smashed. Now, these dishes were wrapped in bubble wrap, foam padding, and cardboard partitions. There were several sets, one from my grandmother dating back over 80 years. They had survived at least half a dozen long-distance moves (several across country) with other moving companies, without a single scratch. Yet somehow, in this half-mile move, nearly all of them broke??? EXTREMELY UNLIKELY -- unless the box was dropped or thrown. Now, I understand, accidents happen, but especially given the fragile stickers and dish box labels, they should have told me they dropped it. (Later, I was told, they denied it.) And of course the insurance the company recommends you buy (they don't sell it themselves, but direct you to two other companies) doesn't cover items you pack yourselves. (NOTE: Next time, have the movers pack the dishes, so they are liable for the full costs.) These dishes are now irreplaceable (there just aren't enough of them out there). To its credit, the company offered a small amount of money (less than a hundred) to resolve the matter. It doesn't cover the cost of replacement dishes, but it's something, and speaks towards the company's concern about customer satisfaction. (However, I did not appreciate the way they kept claiming they weren't liable for more than 60 cents a pound, because in this case I think I easily could have proved negligence, which means they would be liable for the whole replacement cost.) Because of their attempt at problem resolution/customer satisfaction, and the excellent pricing, and professionalism of the crew chief, I would consider them again for another move (with the caveats noted above). Had it not been for the dish incident, they probably would have gotten an A.

So far, I have received the estimate and I sent $200 deposit to hold my moving date. I have called and email several times to clear up some conerns I had about packing and the costs. I hope my good feelings about the company are right.

I needed an estimate . I had estimates from two other companies, and was running out of time. I told them what I was moving, and advised them that another mover who could not meet my schedule had indicated that I would need a 26 foot truck. THe office staff got approval from management to give me a quote sight unseen which was in the same range as two previous quotes. Because it was a partial move, I did my own packing and staged things to be moved to eliminate any confusion. The moving team cantacted me to let me know when they would be arriving and actually arrived 15 minutes early. THere was a team of three "gentlemen". THe afternoon temperature was in the 90's. They meticulously wrapped and taped each piece of furniture, Where there were glass doors, they were especially dilligent. They secured and wrapped the wood shelving, and carefully stowed the glass shelves. One man did most of the stacking and securing of the boxes which were all sizes and shapes, some heavy some very light. Anything that had wood grain was wrapped and taped as well. The following day they were on their way at 7:00 and arrived to begin unloading just before noon. The day was blistering and humid in Mt Dora. The two packers were as efficient at unpacking as they were at packing. THey sorted the boxes to the correct rooms, placed the furniture where directed. THe men were respectful of both houses and all of the property. Everything arrived in perfect order. I have the rest of the house to move once the old house is sold, and based on this experience I will definitely use them again.

My initial moving date changed, and the company was very helpful in keeping my deposit and changing the date . They explained all of this very clearly to me and there were no hidden charges, ie wrapping, tape, boxes.

Everything went as planned. I was offered and an onsite estimate as soon as I called in, their estimator came by my office, did a detailed survey and printed me a computerized quote. The price was reasonable so I decided to use them again as my last experience was excellent. They first came and packed my entire office and labeled everything so each box will land in the correct office room at my new office location. The crew was professional and courteous. The next day all the office furniture and boxes were moved to the new location without a scratch. The third day I received the furniture left in their storage together with the Baby Grand piano which was picked up from my mother's place. Now two weeks later after I am settled in my new office, the piano looks great in my home and i have the rest of my furniture I must say that these people did a great job from start to end! I went great, the guys are fast and careful and very professional.

Regions was thorough from the start. They sent out a sales guy to the house and have me an estimate. They acutally charged me less than was quoted at the end of the job. The came out to the house in the morning and worked very quickly yet carefully. They were polite and professional and followed my instructions when I gave them. Nothing got broken and they completed the job in less time and for less money than was quoted. They followed up after the move to see if everything was OK and if I was settling in to my new home. Give them a 5 out of 5 for sure!!!

A friend used Regions Van Lines in the past and had a good experience. I looked them up on Angie’s List and found them. I called them to request an estimate; they offered me a free in-home estimate. They were able to provide me with a flat rate quote and their rating with the BBB is excellent so I decided to hire them for my move after getting 2 other quotes from other movers. They arrived on time, handled my furniture with care as it was their own; the crew was professional and courteous. My belongings were moved to my new place carefully and with no damages. My overall experience with this company from beginning to end was great. I have used movers in the past and this by far is the best experience I have. Thank You!
