Red Fine Hardwood Floors

I first contacted them month's prior to when I actually scheduled the job. He arrived on time, answered all my questions, and agreed to email me a quote. I received a very professional quote detailing the services to be provided and options (oil or water based). I took a few months to contact them to schedule the service. This was my delay due to other work around the house being delayed. When I was finally ready, they quickly responded to my email and scheduled my service. Once again they were on time, polite, and professional. The job took 3 days. It looks amazing. They brought this floor back to life. I was worried the floor was too damaged to be refinished, but they had told me it was possible, and indeed it was! The guys were nice enough to come back a few days later to cover the floor because I was going to have other contractors in the house and didn't want their boots all over my gorgeous floor. They went above and beyond. Plus they teach you how to properly clean your floors going forward. It's been a few months and I continue to love the way the floor looks.

One of the wood floor boards had a gap where the floor meets the door casing. Armando repaired it to where it's unnoticeable now. He did a fantastic job and I am very pleased.

Armando and Ray were excellent from start to finish. They provided a proposal with options, answered all of my questions, and started the work on schedule, delivering the material ahead of time for it to acclimate. They moved all of the furniture out and back in. The quality of the work is excellent and they communicated well with us during each step of the process. They used a high quality water-based polyurethane finish that dried fast without heavy fumes resulting in a beautiful finish.

WOW...is the best word use to describe there level of customer service, professionalism and work product. These guys are pretty amazing. I got estimate from other wood refinishers that I was wary of once they left. When Ramon from Red Fine came to provide us with an estimate it was like a breath of fresh air. He was punctual, professional and offered us a competitive price. Once the job started we came to realize that we had Dade Pine under the existing flooring, despite resulting in less profit and more man hours for them they urged me to keep the Dade Pine floors which you can no longer obtain. They contacted the lumber company who agreed to take back the flooring I had purchased for the job and give me a credit (less a restocking fee). Red Fine called, the lumber company, negotiated the return and took the merchandise back to the lumber company. Midway through the process my fridge started leaking again and they did not hesitate to put the job on hold until I was able to resolve the issue. The job looks great and the entire experience which could have been a nightmare was actually pleasant. I highly recommend these guys. They are a dying breed...professional, punctual, detail-oriented and hard working.

Ray and Armando were the first and only people we interviewed for the job. I've refinished wood floors myself in the past so I knew instantly when I met Ray that he was the person to do the job on my floors. His crew were on time, courteous and delivered superior results. Which anybody in Miami knows is an anomaly here...

We can't say enough good things about our experience with Red Fine Hardwood Floors. They had come out 6 months before to give us an estimate. When we finally decided to do the job, we called them and asked if they still had our quote. They did, and within 3 days our job was complete. They were on time every time, they were personable, and most important of all, their workmanship was exceptional. One other thing I would like to add is their reasonable price. We had another quote from Angie's 'A list' and it was almost double the price we paid. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for any Hardwood Flooring job. They were the best!

Red Fine was the best from beginning to end, and we are thrilled with their work. I can't recommend them highly enough. In fact, I recommended them to a friend and neighbor who came by to see the work they were doing for us. Ramon responded right away to my call for a quote, came by and explained what the floors needed, our options, and gave us an excellent price. They were able to start just about a week later, which fit our schedule perfectly. They were always punctual, clean, careful, and extremely thorough and hard working. We actually added the balcony portion of the work after the main work was done so beautifully. This was one of the best consumer experiences I have ever had. Our floors were quite banged up from use and from an old pet, and had some bad areas of damage, and now they look like new. Ramon and his team were wonderful to work with and are extremely likable people. I give them my highest recommendation.

Armando and Ramon are the best, period. They took care of a very damage red oak floors in a rental property we have in Little Habana and the result were incredible! We are so pleased with the results and professionalism of this company that we will not use any other company from now on. Yes, they are not the cheapest ones, BUT, they are the best. They use the best products and they have the latest technology and machines to do the job with NO dust. We are truly impressed by the service. The floors look AMAZING! I am so disappointed in Red Fine Floors. After reading all of these rave reviews on Angie's List, I have to tell you that I am so confused. It's hard to believe these reviews are about this company. We contacted red fine to repair the subfloor in the main hallway of the house. It's a very high traffic area because it leads to 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. We purchased the house over 6 years ago with some damage to the subfloor from a leak that had occurred in the adjacent kitchen. The previous owners did some patch work and inserted shims, but the floor was getting worse over the years. The floor was sagging on one side so much so that our wood floors were begining to crack and our 16 month old cut her foot on one of the pieces that was sticking out. The house has a crawl space, so we were afraid that it would just be a matter of time before someone really got hurt being that there is really no sound support beneath that part of the floor. We didn't want to wait any longer and decided to start looking for a repair person. Believe it or not, it's not that easy to find people that do those types of repairs, so we were happy to find a company that had good reviews that could do the job. I called on a Saturday and left a message. Ramon called me back on Monday afternoon. He was very nice and scheduled Armando to come out to the house on Tuesday. Armando came and was punctual. He was very nice and took a look at the area. He explained the repair process to us and let us know up front that there could be surprises waiting for us once they lifted the floors up which may result in a more costly repair. He also said that several pieces of the floor may break during the lifting process which could also result in more money to spend. We appreciated him being upfront with us. To be honest, as long as the quote wouldn't have been something crazy, we were ready to get this party started and hire them to do the job. And now we wait....... We finally got the quote on Sunday after several calls and no response from them. Ok- fine. I totally get that they may be busy, but it doesn't take much to acknowledge our phone calls and let us know what's up. I would rather have someone tell me that they don't want to do the job than to waist my time. Long story short, I decided to give it another try and call again one week later and I left another message. Still no call back. This is so unprofessional! They did not care that I subscribe to Angie's List (I mentioned it when I scheduled the estimate). I would use caution with these kind of people. Very disappointing!!!

They did an exceptional job. We'd started the job with another person, who'd previously refinished our cabinets and asked to do our floors. The first person was clearly out of his element. He used a Poe rental sander that gouged the floors and left a considerable dust residue. We dismissed him midway when it was clear he was over his head. We then found Red Fine Hardwood Floors on Angie's list, picking them because their reviews showed the most experience by far in dealing with damaged floors. They also sand with minimal dust equipment. We were not disappointed. The floors look absolutely brand new--no evidence whatsoever of the gouges from the first refinisher. The work included two bathrooms, where they hand sanded around the fixtures, and three closets, where they hand sanded around water heaters and air units. They also handled a stepped entrance way and lots of nooks and crannies. Tacking from the original installation exposed by the sanding was individually tamped down into the floor and each one then covered in matching putty. Entry and bathroom areas that had received water damage over the years were restored like new. We paid an extra $2,000 for the water based sealer. They put a sample of both the water and oil based on a section of sanded floor for us to look at. The oil based yellows over time, giving an amber coloration to the floors. The water based does not, allowing the natural wood color to be maintained. And since there aren't any fumes with water based, you can occupy the house during and immediately after the refinishing, versus vacating and spending 3-4 days after somewhere else for the oil based.

Ray and Armando, with Carlos, replaced three floor boards, sanded, and then perfectly matched the job with the surrounding floors. The job was more difficult given the white wash, pickling process. My litmus test in any job is that when you examine a patch very closely, you might be able to detect a repair, but barely. We have museum quality recessed lights in the house that shine down and should make any imperfection jump out. With this job, you cannot see patch! As stated, a perfect match. These guys are artists. They are professionals, with great personality, that get the job done. My wife and I cannot recommend them more highly. If you want the best, you need to hire this company. Lastly, after almost three years, the floors still look amazing.

Our floors look amazing! Armando and his team are true craftsmen. They are a family run business and take tremendous pride in what they do - a very unique company for Miami. They are the real deal. My husband and I just bought a 1950s 3 bedroom home with original hardwood floors and the previous owners had attempted to "restore" the floors but, they were a disaster. At one point we even considered replacing the floors because they looked so badly damaged. We spoke to a few different companies from Angie's List and after much deliberation we chose Red Fine Hardwood. As part of our decision making process, we visited one of Red Fine Hardwood client's homes and were blown away by their process and professionalism. Red Fine Hardwood came in and transformed our home. The floors look better than I ever imaged they would! The floors are a HUGE investment for us and we could not be happier. I highly recommend Red Fine Hardwood floors! They also made a special trip to our home, after completing the job, to help my husband with the caulking. They really do provide an exceptional experience and level of service.

They did an excellent job!!!! The floors came out beautiful. We are planning to hire them to refinish our other rooms. I highly recommend them!!!! We wanted the work completed before the birth of our baby and they scheduled us in. They promised dust free and it was dust free.

option.I contacted Armando by phone and he responded to my Law Office within an hour. He gave me two options for refinishing the "Brazilian Blood Wood" floor. I chose the more costly, but very reasonable. Their greatest concern was my satisfaction with the work. They began on a Friday and completed the job on Monday. The floor is simply stunning. I am by nature extremely meticulous, Armando and his crew exceeded every expectation. Great service, very professional, and very reliable.

First of all, Armando and his team arrived on time. They were very professional and explained the entire process to me. These guys really know their floors. It was a 3 day process in which they stripped the floor on day 1 then applied the 2 top coats over the next 2 days. The removed and replaced all furniture. Once everything was completed, they explained to us how to care for the floors and even included a wood floor care kit. They are coming back in a week or 2 to refinish the 2nd bedroom.

I found Red Fine Hardwood Floors on Angie's List and after speaking to a few companies, I decided to go with them because they are a mom and pop store and do all the work themselves, they are very close by, they quoted a lower price, they could do the job sooner, and they offered to include a laminate floor cleanser and anti scuff pads. Ray and his team were very professional, competent, and personable and took the time to be informative about the process. Their work is guaranteed, and I will definitely use them in the future!

We called Armando Diaz for an estimate, he arrived on time to the scheduled appointment. Once we agreed on the service, they put in all their effort to do a very detailed job. We are very happy with the work they performed and can highly recommend this company.

I had a problems from the previous installer who had done substandard work and left the job before finishing. these guys are problem solvers. My floors are gleaming and satin smooth.

I found Ramon and Armando through Angie's List and knew that it was going to be a great experience when they showed up early for giving me an estimate and were also recognized by my painter who I have used for years and told me that these guys have a great reputation and he has seen them fix jobs that no one else can. We wanted a very specific look - bleached, pickled floors - which turns out to be the most difficult and costly process. Ramon and Armando took the time to lay out several different stains and options for us to choose from before we committed to the entire floor. Once starting the bleaching process, they stayed until 11 PM one night just to get the process done so as not to leave a line from ending and beginning. Every day they showed up on time, were courteous, polite and professional. I have had too many experiences with workers who leave doors wide open with the AC blasting, trash all over, dust behind, and speak rudely and disrespectful. This team is everything opposite of that experience...I really can't recommend them enough. The end result far exceeded our expectations and everyone who sees our home can't believe the transformation. They are so beautiful and well worth the investment. They even gave us specific care instructions and products to use, and came back a month longer to fill in old cracks and chips with putty. From the first time we met Armando we had a good feeling. He was very knowledgeable and thorough while explaining the steps in the process. We had 2 other A rated companies come out and give us estimates, which were almost the same in price. We decided to go with this company bc of the level of comfort my husband and I felt during the visit for the estimate. They worked around the clock until the job was done. Their work ethics is exceptional! They were very attentive to every detail. The outcome of the work done was well above our expectations!!! The initial sanding went great. Virtually no dust just as Roman said it would be. After the sanding, there were numerous boards that needed to be replaced which resulted in the job taking longer than expected. The additional time it took to get the job done was worth the wait. The floors were probably 30 years old but looked brand new after Ramon and Armando got done with the job.

I cannot say enough about this company. Armando and Ramon are both knowledgeable and obviously love their work. Their team was punctual and efficient. They always gave a daily timeline and cleaned up when they were done. My floors are dade county pine and had never been refinished. After the Red Fine Hardwood team finished, the floors looked new, and absolutely beautiful. The company went above and beyond in finishing the floors and moving furniture around (and up and down the stairs). After the work was done, they provided a cleaning kit, and instructed me on how to care for the floors. They take pride in their work and it showed. Will definitely use Red Fine Hardwood Floors again.
