 + -1 moreI have moved around a lot over the years and I have never had a move without broken items, lost boxes, delayed pickups or deliveries or some form of problem. I am thrilled to say that I had NO problems with a local move using Raul's Moving & Storage. I received quotes from three highly-rated movers on Angie's List and frankly chose Raul's not because they were the cheapest but because they appeared to be the most flexible, were creative in addressing some logistics challenges, and frankly I felt most comfortable with them. Our original plans called for them storing my goods overnight but when plans changed and we were able to execute the move in one day they called me to remind me that I didn't have to pay the overnight storage and removed it from the bill. This may seem like a small thing but how many companies will remind you to pay less? The team assigned to us headed up to Reuben was professional, friendly, and very careful with all my goods. They pointed out previous damage to make sure I was aware of it and even extra-wrapped some items just to be sure no harm came to them - I packed all my own stuff. They were on time on each of the appointed times (it was a complex two-day move) and were very quick. Since our proposal was a firm fixed price we didn't have any of the issues associated with jobs charged by the hour. Reuben's team was professional and worked HARD! I cannot speak more highly of Raul's Moving and Storage and my experiences with them; they are professional and highly reputable and I would use them again without any hesitation!

 + 0 moreFrom beginning to end, Raul, his staff and his moving teams were all very professional in carrying out their responsibilities. On August 13th the team arrived on time (early, actually) and immediately began moving things out of my apartment. I was impressed by the fact that there were five people assigned to move me out of a two bedroom apartment. The team leader handled all of the paperwork. They took great care with my possessions and carefully wrapped furniture and glass shelves. The move out was done is a very reasonable amount of time. Because my new home would not be ready for a while, my possessions were moved into Raul's storage facility. I was a bit concerned that it was not air conditioned, but trusted that everything would be all right. It was two months before I was ready to move into my new house. On October 17th, Raul's team loaded my possessions from the storage facitlity and delivered them to my house. They placed things where I wanted and carefully set up furniture that they had dismantled for the move. I was very satisfield with the entire process, and my possessions were in good shape. The un-air conditioned storage did not seem to be a factor. The cost of the moves and the storage was exactly what Raul had quoted when he gave me his estimate. I was very happy with the entire process and in dealing with Raul and his company. I would engage their services again and would certainly recommend them.
Description of Work: Raul came to my apartment and gave me an estimate of the costs for picking up my belongings, putting them in storage, and later moving them to my new residence. All of these services were performed.

 + -1 moreArrived on time promised to give an estimate to move from an apartment building in Miami to home in Miami Beach. Very thorough and professional estimate. Also, gave many helpful suggestions on packing, number and type of wardrobe boxes needed, etc. Estimate was very reasonable. After receiving a couple of more estimates, made decision to retain Raul's Moving. Crew arrived a little early on day of move. The crew was wonderful. The men carefully packed few valuable items that needed extra attention and efficiently packed the truck. The packing took most of the day. The crew arrived promptly the next day for the unloading portion. Again, great care was taken with the fragile items and much care was taken not to cause any damage to the home. The estimate was accurate. The service from start to finish was wonderful and it made moving, always a stressful situation, not too bad! We also appreciated the suggestion that we needed a two-day move, and that worked out perfectly. Since our move, we have recommended Raul's to two friends and both we very satisfied and appreciated the recommendation. Not that we plan to move any time soon but, if we do, we will definitely use Raul's!

 + -1 moreFrom the first meeting with Raul, we were put at ease with the whole process. He was going to supply the packing materials, and perform all of the packing, labeling and moving for us. It was all done so quickly and neatly and efficiently that we were amazed and so happy at every step of the entire process.
Description of Work: Raul's Moving and Storage is one of the best companies that we have ever worked with! The entire staff is courteous, punctual, and very well informed. They packed our entire apt. in the most organized, neat and orderly way I have ever seen....in a matter of hours! The move itself was quick, smooth, seamless, and all of our belongings were in perfect shape, professionally packed, and labeled for ease of unpacking. The entire crew was amazing....Casimiro, Alex, Frank and Miguel! The expense was so small compared to the amazing service that was provided. We couldn't recommend this company more highly and would defintely use them for all of our future moves....no question!!!! They are the best!

 + -1 moreI tried to contact Raul Moving Co in two different occasion, first on Sept 10 trying to use his advertised weekend and overall emergency services listed in his profile but it was fruitfulness. After several phone calls Raul himself answer politely but he mentioned that he doesn't do estimate on the weekends and that his crew was already booked for the whole week or so therefore they were unable to provide such emergency services even though they are advertised as such but he reiterates that the emergency services as well as his weekend operation hours were not correct and he would be contacting Angie's list to make those corrections. Second time I reached them was on 10/30 they answered quickly but the outcome was similar they were so busy that they were unable to accommodate me or squeeze me even though I was only moving out an armoire from my family room to the garage (it was a very simple move a few steps away in the same floor of my house) during the coming weekend and/or week after because again they were already booked for the following week or so. My Main concern about this company which portrays a decent rating which us customers rely on to request their services is that they seem to lack enough manpower to handle the increasing demand and they ended up not providing the level of customer service you expect for such rating and reviews. Two chances of hiring Raul's Moving services and two failures because unable to cope with the increasing demand in the peak seasons

Description of Work: My husband and I needed moving services from an apartment to a house, along with limited packing and moving items we had in storage facility into the house. From my initial contact with Raul Moving Co was my experience great. I first called the company to schedule an in home visit where I would receive an estimate of the services we needed when I spoke with Andy who was very professional, courteous and accommodating. Next, Raul, visited our home to provide us with an estimate. From our meeting with him, he appeared to not only be a sincere businessman, but he also wanted to give us the best deal for our money and time. Not only did we have to move items within our home, but we also wanted to use the moving company to visit our storage unit and remove those items as well. Raul made it possible to do both moves in one day while still providing us a good deal. Andy, then called a few days before the move to confirm everything was in order and even provided the apartment building with all the necessary paperwork in a timely fashion. So, the move happened yesterday. Although we all know that sometimes moving could be stressful, Raul Moving Co. made it so easy. The team showed up on time and were prepared to start working immediately. Everyone worked well, efficiently and diligently. Once all the items from the apartment were packed, the moving team moved on to the storage unit to pack up those items as well. Then, the truck arrived our house. The team got to work fast. Having started at 8:45 am, the team finished everything by 3:00pm in the afternoon. Nothing was damaged, everything was in its place, and nothing was lost. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The guys were very courteous and focused. Nothing, absolutely nothing was lost or broken in the move, and they accommodated the furniture to my liking. I must say it was a very good experience.

 + -1 moreRichard said Raul personally came to his house in Kendall to give him an estimate. Raul was prompt and gave Richard an estimate for packing and moving his goods to a new house, about a mile away. Richard chose not to have Raul's crew do the packing for the kitchen and master bedroom. Saturday, October 6th, Raul's crew, with Ruben as supervisor, arrived on time. Richard said he could not believe how efficient the crew was. If he had known this, he would have had Ruben's crew pack everything. At the end of the day, Ruben had Richard check the moving truck for any items that had not been moved into the new home. He also asked Richard to check for all of his personal valuables so that there was chance for theft. Richard told me he was so ecstatic that he tipped Ruben and the men well. After this report, I will use Raul in my move in a couple of months.
Description of Work: Using Angie's List, I recommended Raul Moving to my close friend Richard, who has purchased a new home about a mile from his old home. (Richard is not a member of Angie's List.) Services were to pack most of Richard's belongings and move them to his new home.

Starting with the initial appointment, moving, storage, and moving from the storage to our home. The crew was amazing, the company staff was fantastic as well. Raul worked with us very closely since we were still in the process of remodeling our new home and did not know the final moving date. The national company's bid was 2.5x Raul's amount and the other on-line company, after doing research, was very shady. So, what to do. I went onto Angie's list and looked at all the movers. With glowing reviews I found Raul's and called; the backdrop is also my move was in 5 days. Raul came out, did an estimate (as they were packing for me as well) and we came to an agreement. Amazing job! Four guys walk in for the packing and I'm a bit concerned but needlessly as they did great work. Move was uneventful as well. Highly recommend Raul's Moving.

After reading reviews online, I saw that the estimated cost given by this companies where far from the final price charged at the day of the moving. I saw so many bad reviews online with some companies, that I decided to register to Angies list to see if I could find something better. That's when I found Raul's Moving. I read all the reviews and they were all good, so I called then to check it out. Raul himself answered the phone and he was very polite and offered to come to my house free of charge to give me a quote next day. I was impressed already by the difference in customer service. Anyway, next day he came and gave me a quote. It was not an estimated quote, it was the final price I was going to pay. A GREAT PRICE BY THE WAY. My moving would require 2 days of work, 1 for packing and 1 for moving. On the day and time promised, his team were at my door. Raul sent 3 guys ( Hassan, Miguel and Santiago). Let me tell you, the guys were sooo nice, that I called Raul to send the same guys next day. From the moment we start the moving process, until the end, I don't have one single complain. The guys were sooo professional, soo nice!! They did stuff that they didn't have to do, just because they wanted to help me and make me happy. If you are looking for honest, hard working and just nice people to help you move, don't look anymore. I absolutely recommend this company!!!

 + -1 moreThey were on time, they also finished on time, they were cautious. very nice crew of men.t just happened that someone else in my neighborhood (same block) was moving with his company and when my piano was moved the 4 men that were moving my piano solicited extra help from two other men that were moving my neighbor's piano. Raul arranged it this way because my piano was very heavy and they have to move it from a second floor (no elevator) down the stairs and it was a difficult task! The men were so careful - It was a job well done!!I recommend Raul Moving Co highly!

 + -1 moreUnfortunately, I didn't have a chance to use this company as the conversation lasted less than five minutes.The gentleman said they would have to come to my home to do the estimate, which is not a problem, of course. But, for him to say they start at $395 and speak to me like they are doing me a favor is not acceptable. I got the impression that because they are on Angie's List, the thinking is their services can be more expensive.When I conveyed my surprise at the high quote although they are local, the man sounded a little irritated and said to me that if I wanted something less expensive, I should call a local mover. He proceeded to thank me for my call and hung up! Not very nice.

 + -1 morendy with Raul moving called within minutes of me leaving a VM and arranged a visit to provide and estimate. Raul Perdomo visited my home to givce a run down on what it would cost and also, more importantly, what his movers will do to ensure a timely and safe moving experience. Raul not only beat the competition in price, his 4 movers finished the job two hours earlier than scheduled. Movers were professional and courteous and paid special attention to my valuable pieces. Raul Moving took the stress out of a stressful event. I will definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreRaul came out on time to give me an estimate and that was one price, no bate and switch and committed to the date and time my condo required. Andy followed up to confirm the move days later and both of them helped me pick a storage company close to the new house. The movers arrived on time and were courteous, prompt and professional. They were careful with my furniture and were very careful with delicate glass items and tv's wrapping them really well. They finished the move out early and were ready to go to the house and a second stop to my storage unit. The movers did an excellent job moving my items into the new house with the remainder to the storage unit. I called when the move was complete and thanked Raul and Andy and let them know how happy I was with the entire process that I was originally dreading. They truly made my experience fantastic!
Description of Work: Needed to fine a new mover to move from a condo on Miami Beach to a house out in Kendall with a 2nd stop to a storage unit in a short amount of time. My original mover spooked me because I called back to ask a question after I committed to the sales rep and gave a deposit and the person who answered the phone didn't know the person I was asking for so I got another person who said he was the supervisor and would help me. I just had a bad feeling so I cancelled that mover leaving me short on time to find a new mover. I went online to Angie's List and started my search based on ratings and called Raul's Moving & Storage.

 + -1 moreRaul Moving moved me from a high rise in downtown Miami to a new home on Miami Beach. Raul was very accommodating and came to my home late in the evening to provide an estimate. When the moving day came, his guys arrived on time, were familiar with the building and were very friendly, fast and efficient. When the couch that I had would not fit in the elevator at my new home, the movers made extraordinary efforts to try to fit it up the stairs. When they were still not able to make it up the four flights, Raul was happy to store my couch for me until I could find a new home for it. I would highly recommend Raul Moving to anyone looking to move in south Florida.

 + -1 moreThey were really good. He was recommended to me. The thing that I like most about them is that they really took care of the furniture. They did not throw it around. They were really careful with my furniture. I have old stuff that I need to take good care of, and they really took good care of it very well. We had a good experience with them. I got a couple of other quotes and they were all more expensive. I called them and two days later Raul came to my house and everything was done perfectly. I would use them again in the future if needed.
