Montero's Tree Service

This is the third time I use Monteros Tree Service and as usual A++ service for the price quoted. He and his team went above and beyond my ask and did not charge me for their additional work. For me that is a sign of willingness to invest and deliver great customer service. The outcome was phenomenal and I highly recommend using this company.

They show up when they say they will, do the work and clean up perfectly. They are a bit more expensive than companies I have used previously but I would never go back.

I have found my dealings with Orlando Montero to be friendly and timely. I trust his judgement about what needs to be done to the trees. His men have trimmed a neighbor's oak where it comes over my property so that my solar panels are not shaded.

Finding reputable companies in S. Florida is extremely difficult and I thought I had found one in Mr. Montero's business. I was very disappointed at the outcome of our meeting.

Excellent. I would highly recommend Montero's Tree Service. I am extremely happy with the way the trees look, and amazed how they cleaned up the property. They got rid of a lot of vines and other weeds which was totally unexpected.

It went perfectly. We used Montero Tree Service two years ago and were very pleased so called them again. Not only did they complete the work we had agreed upon, but Mr. Montero went beyond the call of duty and trimmed a large white heliconia by the front door, low-hanging branches on a tree on the swale (Village-owned property), our neighbor's trees overhanging our side, and various other bushes. While he was working, our neighbor on the opposite side wanted our trees overhanging her side trimmed, so he did that for her (our neighbors paid for that) and everyone was happy. Once everything was trimmed, the crew shredded everything and cleaned up beautifully. Our place looks 100% better than before.

So I had originally scheduled another tree contractor (Trees Gone Wild) who came out and had given me a quote. He was a no show and rescheduled 4 times!! Never showed up every time. Pathetic. Then I had called another tree contractor who came out to inspect and told me he would email me a quote. Never received it. I finally called Orlando after finding him on Angie's List. He came out to give me a quote which was higher than the original quote I received from the first contractor. Life got busy and I did not call Orlando back until a month later. However, he scheduled me the very next day at 7:30am and was there on time with his men. They worked from 7:30am to approximately 12:30pm. They did an amazing job and cleaned up so well that they left my yard nicer than when they first arrived. Orlando and his team were extremely professional and courteous. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone I know. Very happy with their work. Thank you Montero's Tree Service!

I called Montero Tree Service and his wife Laura was extremely professional and helpful in getting me the earliest appointment possible, given their busy schedule. The work was scheduled for a couple of weeks away and they arrived on time as promised. Orlando (Montero) and his crew were very helpful, professional, and pleasant to work with. While they were there, Orlando answered some questions I had regarding some additional landscaping work I'm planning on having and he suggested some trees and plants which would meet my landscaping needs. I am extremely satisfied with the work, everyone's professionalism, and Orlando's willingness to help out in order for me to be completely happy with the work. I highly recommend Montero Tree Service without any reservation!

They showed up on time, did a great job of trimming the two trees (and threw in some clean up on another small tree and some weeds in the back yard). You can tell that Mr. Montero has a great crew and is very protective of his workers. He was very careful trimming the tree with the power lines nearby to make sure his people were safe. They shredded all the trimmings and left everything as if they were never there, only better!

Excellent job. The yard looked beautiful after the crew was done. On one large tree in particular, with storm damage, they did major pruning that left the tree looking better than ever.

Everything when out as expected and even better. Montero and his staff are very nice people, very professional.

orlando and his crew arrived promptly. Did a fine job of removing large coconut palms, stumps, ground them up and cleared the property of all debris. Wonderful job. Would hire them again and tell my friends.

Orlando and his team, including Javier, were consummate professionals. They arrived on time, did what they promised to do, and cleaned up thoroughly. I have already recommended them to several people.

I was given a bid within 24 hours of initial contact with the business. The trimming took place in less than a week after bid was accepted. Mr.Montero is a certified arbolist and was quickly able to direct the workers on how best to trim the tree to maximize its health and appearance. His crew worked efficiently and left the yard cleaner than it was before they arrived. It took less than 3 hours to complete what I consider a massive job. I am extremely satisfied with the work and the outcome.

Orlando and his crew of three men arrived early and got straight to work, as promised. Orlando, who is the owner, confirmed with me what he would be doing and then went over everything with the crew. He also worked with them on some of the areas. They worked very hard to complete the work in a timely manner and even did a few extra things for me. They were respectful, answered my many questions and made sure I was happy with what they were doing. The areas were then raked, swept and the trash was hauled away. They were a pleasure to work with. It was also very nice dealing with Laura in their office who handled the scheduling information. She was friendly, professional, and very responsive with timely follow-up. This is something very often hard to find in Miami. I was very happy with their service and highly recommend Montero's Tree Service

Mr. Orlando Montero was very professional and cordial. He pointed out desired plants and suggestions. His service, though highly rated , was available on short notice of a few days. Most other local companies are understaffed, underqualified, and/or overpriced. I would highly recommend Montero's Tree Service.

I am very pleased with Montero's Tree Service. I obtained the permit to remove the tree from the City of Miami. The tree was a Tropical Almost that was about 40 feet in height with a huge root system almost completely out of the ground since Hurricane Andrew. The tree had to be removed for new construction on my lot. I called Montero's and a live person answered the phone; another time when I had to leave a voicemail the call was returned immediately. Orlando Montero came the next day and gave me an estimate. I agreed and he started the work within a couple of days. He and his crew are very professional, the tree was taken down with no damage to any other plants or a nearby fence. After the tree was down it was then up to me to have part of a deck removed so he could proceed with the stump removal. All together there were about four visits to complete the job and he did not ask for a penny until the job was completely finished. Orlando Montero is a Certified Arborist so he has professional knowledge which was important to me. He has all the required equipment necessary for any job like this as well as landscaping work. The first step in my job was to cut the tree down; they used a bucket truck and climbers, then the entire tree was mulched on site and left there for my use at my request. This was important to me as well because now my tree can live on in my yard because it killed me to have to remove it. :( The last step was to bring in a crane for the stump removal. The entire process went so smoothly and professionally; and, I will use his company for all my landscaping needs which are tremendous since I have a heavily-treed yard in Coconut Grove.

They are not exactly cheap, but the quality of work is excellent and they were somewhat negotiable on the price.

We are so impressed with the service we received from Mr. Orlando Montero and his crew. They arrived promptly at 7:30 a.m. and began working. They have excellent equipment, a truck with bucket lift, to get high above mature trees to top them off and shape the sides. It is also important that trees be thinned out so that if a major storm comes thru, the high winds will not topple the trees and break off branches. We have a bougainvillea hedge which overlapped a walkway so much so it was impossible to walk on it without getting clothes snagged and/or limbs scratched. They have rotary tools which allows them too cut deep into the hedges, shape them and top them off. There were about five men assigned to the project and they all were very knowledgeable about the proper maintenance of trees, hedges and plant material. They had to be careful not to touch or damage power and telephone wires. It is really important that you hire an Arborist who knows how to keep his crew and customers safe around power lines. Anytime they saw my husband or I looking intently at an area, or discussing something about the work, a supervisor came over and asked us for our comments or feedback. They had a tremendous amount of material to dispose off. Their truck chopped everything up and they hauled away at the end of the job. We know our neighbors were equally impressed with the work, many asking for Mr. Montero's business card so that they could contact him.

Excellent job -- on time, at a reasonable price, and my yard looked great when the crew was done. Orlando is very knowledgeable about trees and does a superb job.

As with other jobs, the work was excellent, done on time, and above and beyond what was promised.
