The service was superb!!! Orlando arrived for the estimate exactly on time. He walked the property with me and explained what he would be doing. Within a couple of days he sent an estimate to me, and shortly thereafter scheduled the service. His crew arrived early in the morning and by the time I returned from work all of the trees were trimmed and fertilized, and all of the debris had been removed. The property has never looked better. Orlando is courteous and knowledgable about all of the trees, and would not accept payment until I had an opportunity to look at his work and make sure it was satisfactory. It was a fantastic experience and I very highly recommend Montero's Tree Service.

One of our live oak trees looked to be in very bad health. We kept an eye on it, and then became sure that it needed to come down when squirrels started prying giant pieces of bark off of the tree and throwing them at us!It was then we knew we needed to call Montero's to help us out. Mr. Montero came almost right away, confirmed the tree was dead, and also checked for diseases. He found evidence of infestation by a beetle that transmits a fungus. He consulted with the city's arborist to be sure that only one trunk (out of the three trees that are clustered together) was infected.Since it was urgent for the tree to come down, Mr. Montero was able to rearrange his schedule and remove the tree as soon as the permits were issued. Montero's began work early in the morning, so they got started before we left for work. When we came home at the end of the day, everything looked so great that we didn't miss the tree as much as we expected. The yard looked absolutely beautiful: all the sawdust was cleaned up, they brushed off all the leaves from our roof as long as they were up there, and they removed all the bromeliads and other plants from the dead tree and placed them elsewhere in the yard for us.

His team arrived promptly at 7:30. They worked all day. By the end of the day, the house and trees looked great. Every thing I asked of them they did, for instance, to cut back on certain trees more than others.

We had a great experience with Montero Tree Service. It all started with Laura who took our call and had the owner, Orlando Montero call us the same day. He came over a little later to assess our 5 large trees (3 Black Olive and 2 Live Oaks) and discuss the approach to trimming them. He also looked at 3 smaller trees we had planted 15 months ago. We were concerned because two of them lost a lot of leaves and did not look as healthy as they were when planted. Orlando pointed out that the two smaller trees had way too much dirt build up around the base when planted and the root system could not grown downward to promote strengthening and the health of the trees. The roots were close to the surface as a result. He suggested removing the excess soil and doing some root work as well. We scheduled the service and they arrived on time and took two days as they said they would. Orlando and his team lead by Javier did an EXCELLENT job with all five larger trees and the smaller ones as well. In fact, two weeks later now we can see new healthy leaves blooming on the two smaller trees that were not planted properly. They removed all debris (heavy duty wood chipper) and left the yard spotless. We had a great experience with this group and would highly recommend them. Mr. Montero is an arborist and knows his stuff and obviously has a passion for his work. A very nice gentleman and so is his staff.

I called Montero's Tree Service based on great reports on Angie's List. I wanted an estimate to remove a live oak tree in my back yard. He came out within 2 days. While de was looking things over, he explained to me that the bougainvillea it was in a bad location and it was important to remove it. He gave me a lot of great advice, answered questions about what to plant where the trees had been an discussed with me some options to improve my yard. He truly loves and is excited by what he does.They trimmed everything that they saw needed it. He also discussed with me some different options to landscape my front and back yard. I am actually plannning to hire him to redo my front yard.

Contacted Montero's Tree Service because of positive reviews, awards and several nominations. Called and scheduled appointment for estimate. Mr. Montero arrived on time and gave us a very reasonable estimate. Other companies where much pricier and were not punctual or did not show for estimates. He explained how the work would be performed in detail and answered all our questions. On the day of the job, Mr. Montero and his crew showed up on time. Mr. Montero was there supervising all the work. His crew was hard working and respectful. Mr. Montero did extra work at no charge. They cleaned up beautifully when they were done. I can't say enough about this company. I have more work to be done and will definitely be calling them again. So happy we found them.

The yard was transformed. It has never been this cleaned up. I could not believe how much they accomplished in 3 days. I was very pleased. I have hired the company to help maintain the yard as I don't want it to revert back to its overgrown state.

We called Mr. Montero for an estiamte and he showed up on time and was very professional. His initial quote was more than what we wanted to spend, but he negotiated with us and agreed to help us within our budget. The day of the removal Mr. Montero was on time with his crew and his machines. Throughout the day he provided us updates and let us know what could be done to have a nicer yard. He later came back to take another tree down and move a Palm. Unfortunatly they left the palm tree crooked and we called back. Mr Montero personally came by to inspect and later called his crew to fix. Once this was completed, it was still not straight. We called again and at this time Mr. montero was not very polite.......I would of easily recommended his services again, until this point. Have proof in texts that what was said below by the owner is not true...

Montero was on time as has been the case on three prior occasions. His team was professional and worked hard the full day. The yard was left clean and everything I asked for was addressed. I have not hesitated to call Montero in the past and will not in the future, his service is excellent.

I have lived in the grove over 30 years and have used many tree services. Orlando's team is by far the best. He has a great crew and he personally supervised them for the duration of the job. He walk the property with me and suggested other areas that needed some work. When I agreed he added the extra trimming in at no charge. In the past the Owner/job estimator would show up for the first 1/2 hour then disappear and I would be left to argue with the crew on what to cut.

I called Montero's Tree Service based on great reports on Angie's List. I wanted an estimate to remove 5 coconut palms and trim the tree from the house behind me. He came out within 2 days. While he was looking things over, he explained that a date palm that was in the back yard needed to be removed as it had been planted in a bad location and was tearing up the pavers around the pool. I got the estimate from him the next day, okayed the work, and he was back out to do the work less than a week later. If he had only done the work agreed on, I still would have gotten a bargain, but he did so much more! After cutting the trees and grinding the stumps, trimming the tree behind me and fertilizing a couple of my trees out front (just because he had noticed when he did the estimate that they looked like they needed it), he started talking to me about my yard. He truly loves and is excited by what he does. He gave me a lot of great advice, answered questions about what to plant where the trees had been, and discussed with me some options to improve my yard. They ended up also taking out several bushes in the back and front that had been planted in bad locations. They trimmed everything that they saw needed it and offered to move anything that I wanted moved. When my husband came home, he almost drove by the house because it looked so different! He also discussed with me some different options to landscape my front yard and how to save some trees in my back yard that might be lost without some changes. When we bought the house a few months ago, we knew we wanted to change some things, but it was important to me to keep the color and tropical feel. He gave me some great ideas on how to do that. I am actually planning to hire him to redo my front yard. I cannot recommend him highly enough!!

It went very well.They arrived on time,very professionnal,a team of 4 worked the whole day ,they did more than expected and the garden and the pool (no debris)was left very clean . I highly recommend them ,It's a peace of mind knowing the way they work .

Orlando is a certified arborist and knows what he is doing. He came on time to give me an estimate and on the work day they were here at 7:30 am ready to start work. Being out of state (California) landlords, it is very diffficult to find reliable and honest companies to maintain our rental home in Miami. Based on great reviews and because Mr. Montereo was a Certified Arborist, we decided to give Montereo's Tree Service, Inc. a try. I contacted his company via e-mails and we talked once on the phone. The communication on getting the job done was excellent. Before and after photos of the property taken by our tenant shows such a difference. Our backyard was transformed from being overgrown and dark into a yard that was airy, light filtering and seemed more spacious. I was impressed by his company's quick service and excellent work and by Mr. Montero's professionalism and excellent customer service.

Mr. Montero is clearly enthusiastic about trees and did a good job trimming, removing, and grinding stumps. He arrived on time and the work was completed in a professional manner. We will definitely use Montero's Tree Service on an annual basis to keep trees trimmed for hurricanes and to keep branches away from the roof.

It went great, they came right away, despite being busy, did a really good job trimming our out of control tree back, and threw in the trimming of two other trees that they had not quoted us for, for free. I asked if I could keep the mulch and they moved it all into the back yard for me. Orlando Montero and his men are very personable, arrived promptly, did a good job with the trees and cleaned up very nicely at the end.

We have been using Montero's Tree Service, Inc., for approximately three years. Mr. Orlando Montero, the Owner, is a certified Arborist and is extremely knowledgeable about all types of trees and plant material. Our goal, during this 2011 hurricane season, was to make sure that our fully mature trees, hedges, bamboo and shrubs were properly pruned and topped off so that any future heavy weather and gusty winds would not topple them over. We also needed to remove some small trees, vines and other growth, which was taking over the yard. Mr. Montero walked the property with us and made excellent recommendations as to what all should be included in the scope of work, to improve the appearance of the yard and provide better sun exposure for citrus trees etc. Within a few days we had an acceptable written proposal and were able to schedule the work within a week. Mr. Montero showed up with his crew and his equipment early in the morning, and dispite some heavy afternoon rain, they finished everything as promised and actually did a lot more then the written scope of work we all agreed too. Mr. Montero, and his crew, are very professional, friendly and gracious people. I am confident that other members of Angie's List will be very glad they selected this company. We intend to start planning a landscape project and installation of a decorative fountain with Mr. Montero later on this year, for installation in the Spring of 2012.

Mr. Montero is the best. I had more than 5 companies over one year look at this tree to help me assess the situation and none were as knowledgeable, professional and cost effective as Montero Tree Service. I struggled with the city of Miami over a permit and Mr. Montero guided me to avoid additional hassle, yet remain in compliance. That alone is reason to hire him! They were delayed by weather on the scheduled day and chose to work on a Sunday to get the job done. They arrived early and took care of smaller aspects of the job as to not wake the neighbors on a Sunday morning. The quality of tree trimming was better than my expectation and his team even trimmed an adjacent Mango tree with out my asking due to problems Mr. Montero noted. (He did not ask for an additional fee). Everything was cut, cleaned and the yard was left in perfect condition. His price was so cost effective vs the other bids, and the work was so good, I provided him with an additional sum for the quality job. I will use him for any tree related needs in the future and already have plans. Use Montero Tree Service.

Mr. Montero first came out and gave us an estimate to trim the trees on the 1/4 lot of the house we recently purchased. He noted some concerns with the trees maintained by the power company and the city, so we contacted the power company to have those trees taken care of first. Our property has many trees, including 3 live oaks, 2 of which have giant branches spreading out over our roof. On the day of the appointment, Mr. Montero and crew showed up on time and, over the course of 5 hours, trimmed about 12-15 trees and removed many barrelfuls of leaves and acorns that had been accumulating on our roof for a year. They cleaned everything out of our yard and deck too. The tree branches that were growing very close to our roof are all trimmed back, without the trees looking any worse for the wear. We will have them back next year when it's time to trim again.

I was extremely impressed with Mr Montero. I could not have asked for a more efficient, professional, and smooth transaction The men arrived a little early. They were quick and precise. He has state of the art equipment. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up everything. Mr. Montero himself is a very wonderful person to have on the job. He is very bright, articulate and has great insight into what needs to be done. I will be hiring him again to relandscape the front yard. I highly recommend him. and his crew. He really deserves an A+. Did I mention that he gives a discount for first time service (at lest through October). That was very nice too!
