Miami Fence Design

Initially I found Mr. Pineiro (the owner) to be very polite, responsive and professional. He had his crew come out and do the work exactly as scheduled. After the work was done, I noticed he had failed to reinforce the chain link fencing (by tying the chain link to the pole that runs horizonally across the top). I called or emailed him and following day and he immediately came out and fixed it. The problems arose when it came time to inspect the wood fence. The inspector refused to approve the fence because it didn't have a wood post every four feet as the regulations require (a requirement I was familiar with and I presume Mr. Pineiro knew about too). Mr. Pineiro called me at work a couple of times to complain about how picky the inspector was being because the fence didn't really need another post (despite the code), and how he (Pineiro) wasn't making any money on the job, etc. Mr. Pineiro eventually installed another post, and the fence passed inspection. He then attempted to charge me for the amount he had to pay the inspector for the additional trips out to my house (which would not have been necessary had he installed the fence according to code the first time arround). Overally, I got the fence I wanted, but it was more of a hassle than it should have been.

The original installation went fine. The fence installed was black in color and functioned fine. However, we just noticed (Jan. 09) that the paint on the fence has faded to a light grey and the paint (powder-coated, per the owner) is powdering off. Some of the hardware is also rusting (it should have been galvanized). The owner (Juan) has washed his hands of the situation, claiming there is only a 2 year warranty (this was never discussed initially, and there's nothing re: warranty in our paperwork). He has blamed everything and everyone else. He refuses to take responsibility or stand by his product.

The work performed was excellent. It took a little longer than expected, but that was because of the Coral Gables zoning and permitting process.

THEY WERE A FAIRLY PRICED COMPANY. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON OUR FENCE. IT DID TAKE THEM A LITTLE BIT LONGER TO GET THE JOB DONE THAN THEY SAID IT WOULD, BUT THEY GOT IT DONE RIGHT.
