Marisela Studio LLC

Description of Work: I had hired Marisela as my interior design for the remodeling/renovation of my entry way/foyer/hallways; parlor/piano room; kitchen/dining room (though not my kitchen cabinets or appliances – maybe next year). Marisela drew up the floor plans; was there to assist in getting estimates from the prospective contractors; (she has people that she works with or I could use my own); and she monitored the actual remodeling. She also shopped with me to choose the furnishings and accessories, and was there whenever I needed her. The actual work that was done included removal of the stucco ceiling in the kitchen/dining room, installation of crown molding and new baseboards; soffit lighting; new chandeliers and lighting; chair railings; painting of walls and ceiling; refinishing of my hardwood floors; new area rugs; window treatments; chaise lounge and accessories. She also designed a photo wall and the framing, and she actually hung the picture wall herself to make sure it was exactly how she envisioned it. I paid a design fee based on the square footage of the areas to be remodeled and a commission on new purchases. Since my budget was limited, she was wonderful in incorporating much of the furniture that I already had. The cost of the actual construction was separate and there was no commission on that. A separate project was renovating my outdated, dark paneled back room to a contemporary, cheery home office/den. This included designing the floor plan; choosing the color scheme; molding; desk, work areas, lighting, carpet and accessories.
