+ -1 moreWhen the power source on my Mac went out, I thought I'd give my business to a small, local company instead of gigantic Apple. BIG MISTAKE. I don't know if they just wanted to charge me an arm and a leg, or if they really didn't know what they were doing. But a very simple problem (power source needed replacement) turned into something they claimed would require tons of diagnostic tests and one-by-one replacements until the computer worked again. Even *I* knew it was just the power source. I told them as much. But they were relentless, saying they could not tell for sure until this and that and the other thing were all replaced. They then charged me $86 to put my computer back together (if they even had it apart at all; I never saw it taken apart), and I was out the door. They offered to buy my computer for $100 on the spot, saying I would probably not get more for it from anyone else. So off to Apple I went, and in five days they had replaced the power source and checked all systems for only $50. The computer now works perfectly. That will teach me to take my Mac anywhere but Apple. But I'll certainly stay away from MacWizards. They are nothing of the kind.
Description of Work: Took apart my computer, told me they'd have to do lots of diagnostics to find out what was wrong, and then put it back together without fixing it.

Description of Work: Worked to identify Fatal Kernel error. While not able to recreate the error did discover issues with the hard drive and suggested its replacement. Tested machine upon repair to verify issues did not persist. Offers a warranty on his work. Great communication and follow-up a much better choice than the big box tech support,
