Leon’s handyman services.( He also goes by other names) We have used Leon a few times his work is ok. He is a very nice guy so we have given him multiple projects. Over time it seems he likes to start projects but does like to finish them. He did a fence for us and the gate was made wrong and it took him weeks to come back. He has said he would redo the gate as it sags. This has not happened. A couple of weeks ago we asked him for a series of small projects. He committed to come on Wednesday 11.13. That Monday (11.11) he calls that it’s a holiday and he cannot do other jobs so can he come over? We adjusted our schedules to accommodate him. When he finished for the day, he said he would come back the next day or day after to finish up and correct some mistakes, so we paid him in full. He doesn’t come the next day nor does he call. We call him and he says either tomorrow morning or after 5. Next day no show and no call. I call him and he says guaranteed he will come Thursday. I texted him if he doesn’t come by..not to bother, as I need to put the closet (where the crawlspace hatch is located) back together. He was offended by this and texted me, he did not like my attitude. My attitude is, if I tell somebody I will do something I will do it. If something unexpected comes up, I would certainly call. If I take somebody’s money I will finish the job when I am supposed to, not at my convenience. While it was ok for us to adjust our schedule to accommodate him, it wasn’t important enough to him to keep his word and show up and finish the job he was paid to do. My wife has asked him to return the a portion of the money so we can hire someone else to finish the job as he did not earn as he did not complete the project. As of today 11.25.19 we have not heard anything from him nor received the partial refund requested. Being that he does not keep his word and he is keeping money he did not earn, maybe he is not as nice a guy as I thought. We no longer recommend Leon.

Hired Leon to do a long list of to do items, hanging bi-fold doors, exterior house number custom-made plaque, hanging pictures, installing toilet paper holders & towel bars, replaced front door seal, etc. He arrived on time for the quote AND on the scheduled day to do the work. He and his team were quick, professional, polite and everything was done exactly as requested. Had a little issue with the door seal and he returned the next day to fix it. Highly recommend Leon for those projects around the house that need to be done. We've already recommended him to several friends and neighbors and have another project he'll be working on for us soon. More to come.
