Laprom Moving

Description of Work: Laprom moved my partner and I from our apartment into our new townhouse. They were professional, hard working, and very reasonable. I would use them again.

Description of Work: Moving from Key Biscayne to Pembroke Pines. Called Laprom and set up the move in about 15 minutes. $75/hr, there is an automatic 1 hr charge for getting truck and movers to and from the move and a minimum 3hr charge. We scheduled arrival between 9-10am. The two men, Tristan and Rob called at 9am and arrived at 9:15am. Tristan explained everything again and confirmed the start time for the move, Rob was already moving boxes. They immediately went to work and didn't scratch or break anything. They filled the 24 foot truck within three hours (our fault as we were still boxing as they worked). We met them at the new property and brought them lunch. They thanked us, put the food in our refrigerator and went straight to work after Tristan had me fill out the rest of the paperwork with an estimated time left in the move. This is where people tend to freak out, because their items are on the truck while this happens. However, I don't see how else they would do it? The time estimate was reasonable , and very accurate. The charge was $75x total time + 8.5hours +$75 for 1 hour travel ($712.5). When the box was not clearly marked they asked us where to put things. The were very efficient and careful. When everything was in its place they walked the house with us to confirm that everything was where it should be, if we changed our mind they moved it. We tipped ~18% on the total cost (plus lunch, which they took with them when they left). I would recommend this company to friends.

Description of Work: After haggling and negotiating on the phone, we hired this moving company for a simple job, moving four moderate size pieces of furniture about 10 miles to a friends apartment. They were scheduled to show up between 2 and 4pm. Four o'clock came and went and we heard nothing from them. So, we called to confirm, and they assured us that they would show up in half an hour. When a half hour went by and they still did not show, we called again and they said an hour and a half. Bottom line, I would never use this company to move anything, not even a banana from one room to another. I am just thankful that I didn't contract them for a big, important move.
