They were outstanding. I had ideas about what I wanted done, but I'm not a gardener myself. Rick Barocas was extremely patient and answered all of my questions. He listened well and was very easy to talk to. His staff was organized and everyone in the company was very professional. They were very honest about what they could and could not do. We get compliments on how it looks, and it has totally changed the front of our home. I couldn't have been happier.

Rick was extremely professional throughout the process. He was punctual, polite, informative, honest and reassuring (I was quite anxious about how things would turn out!). The workers were efficient. After the installation, I had some concerns about leaf loss and possible bugs. Rick came immediately to take a look. He reassured me that what was happening was to be expected as the plants adjusted. He recommended an organic spray for the possible bugs. Rick and the owner, Jeff reassured me that if plants died, they would replace them. Rick came back and checked on the plants. He installation was over a month ago- everything looks great and all the plants are doing well. I would highly recommend Rick Barocas to do your job. Be SURE to ask for him.

LIGHTNING DOES STRIKE TWICE!!! Rick and Jim have AGAIN provided a spectacular solution for my home. I initially had work done in the front of my home by JW and hoped they could live up to my expectation when completing the rear - they surpassed what I expected. Their knowledge of the different species of plants that would work in my setting was comforting because if it were left to me, I would have picked items that would not have survived after being planted. Aside from providing the service, they also EDUCATED me on the do's and dont's of maintaining and caring for my finished project. As always, the project was completed within the expected time frame and at the agreed upon price. JW provides superior service with competitive pricing. There are no "hidden" or "back-door" techniques to their methodology. You tell them what you want - they'll tell you if it will work for your space - then they GET IT DONE. Rick and Jeff stopped by last week and gave me an estimate of all the work I wanted done. This morning, they both showed up on time @ 8:00 a.m. with an additional crew of three. Since Tropical Storm Noel was approaching, it was a bit windy, but they were determined to finish the job on time, as promised. Eventually, Rick and Jeff had to leave to check on another job, while the crew stayed to finish the job. Everything was completed as promised and the clean up left the yard better than it has looked in years.

I was very happy with the job they did because they were friendly and were right on time to do the work. My house looks great and they were just so professional about everything. Price was a little high but well worth it.

Rick Barocas quoted the job and oversaw the work from start to finish. Work was done in one day and progress reports and consultations were done via email. Rick was the consumate professional, even emailing pictures of the work in progress so we could see the trenches as they dug. Drainage system performed admirably after heavy rain.

Jeff and Rick did a beautiful job. They paid attention to what I said I liked and didn't like and really made the effort to follow my preferences both in type of plants and style of design. They are easy to contact and they stayed on top of a really frustrating situation with the City of Coral Gables, which is difficult to deal with when it comes to permits. From start to finish it took us almost a month to get the City to issue the permit. Jeff and Rick rolled with it and adapted to the City's requests for additional design and survey information. Once the permit was issued, they showed up when they said they would and if inclement weather appeared to make work difficult, they called to notify us they would be coming the following work day. They always showed up when they said they would. When a few plants didn't thrive right away, they replaced them without hesitation. I was very happy with the entire experience. We've already gotten quite a few compliments on the design.

Excellent experience in every way. Rick is extremely knowledgeable about landscaping, had many great suggestions and was attentive to our concerns and ideas. He was punctual and was not rushed to get the estimate completed. He listened to our ideas, inserted his own and the process left us feeling assured, they were the right guys for the job. Within a few days, we had a detailed estimate (at what we felt was a fair price) and we even came up with some additional work (the kids' play area work). Rick handled the additional work in a very fair way. They showed up and got to work as scheduled. The best part, Rick was there the whole time supervising and working on the job. This is HUGE! He not only quoted the work, but was also there to make sure it was done right and that nothing was missed. As you would expect, it came out great and we are extremely pleased with these guys. Your search for the best landscaping company is over, these are the guys!!

He sourced a plant for me that I saw at a neighbor's house but did not find in my plant book (Spanish Shawl). I had the estimate in my email in-box on a Monday, 2 days after Rick looked at the project. The estimate was professional, not cheap but I just got a good feeling with this company and decided to go ahead with the job for the following Tuesday. Rick followed up with me on the installation date and his crew showed up on time, even 30 minutes early! They were done after 8 hours. Like most landscaping companies, the laborers were Hispanic but Rick and another English speaking gentleman (whose name I did not get) supervised the job. The work came out as expected.

My experience with JW Landscaping was exceptional. They were prompt, courteous, professional and respectful. I was dealing with a timing issue and they were able to accommodate my needs when every other company wanted to schedule a time within a couple of weeks.

Dealing with Rick and JW Landscaping was truly a pleasure. After calling multiple vendors and getting numerous no-shows and no return calls our search stopped after meeting Rick. From forwarding pictures of the proposed species to be used for the project to constantly seeking feedback - Rick and JW performed way beyond our expectations. We will be utilizing their services again within the next couple of months when putting together a solution for our back yard/patio and pool area. Several neighbors have commented on the beautiful work done and inquired which company did our work - as they too are in need of a reliable solution - we of course recommend JW Landscaping.
