Guinn & Sons was very responsive, unlike some of the other contractors I dealt with. The estimator even came out on a Sunday since I needed the work done right away. The quote was competitive. They understand the building codes, so the work can be accepted by the insurance providers. The installer arrived when expected and was very efficient. He had all the tools and materials he needed. The work was of high quality and the shutters blended in with the house.

Needed front door shutters to get insurance credit. Sent requests to contractor on a Wednesday and shutter was installed on a Saturday . Very fast service . Work was done well.

I appreciated the professionalism of this contractor because he provided a written estimate that met my standards. I outlined everything I wanted done and that's what he did. The gentlemen who did the actual work was very informative and explained exactly what he would be doing and the parts that the job required. He arrived on time and also took the time to explain the functionality once the job was complete.

Service and professionalism were excellent. Great communication and met all schedules. They replaced several windows which involved knocking out the old windows and installing the new. When done, you wouldn't have known they were there. Everything cleaned and placed back as they found it and all paint touched up. Plus, nice people to deal with.

We had all our shutters updated to meet the Miami-Dade County approved product. Any questions or concerns that we had were answered by the owner Matthew Guinn. He was very easy to get a hold of and when I had to leave a message he returned my call promptly. This is a family owned business that delivers quality service to our area.

They were very punctual, neat, professional and nice, every time I have spoken with them or when they come out to my house. The paperwork was done correctly and was easy to understand. I am very pleased with them and would highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

Matt was great from start to finish. Great communicator. He came out in January to give us a quote on a variety of combinations of impact doors/windows vs. accordion shutters vs. aluminum. We ultimately settled on a completely different option, than any of the first four quotes. He was great at answering questions and breaking down the quote. From finally deciding on the scope of work to completion/final inspection took only about 3.5 weeks. This included getting a permit through the picky Village of Miami Shores. The installers were two men and very courteous, through and efficient. The install took a day and a half. I liked that the men completely cleaned up each day. They went the extra mile and filled holes left over from previous shutters that they removed before installation. Overall, great experience from start to finish.

The work was completed within two weeks. It was a great experience. We had a total of 21 windows. They gave me quite a discount. He even came on Christmas Eve. It was very impressive. They completed when they said they would. Wayne was very friendly and professional.

Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable. We needed to replace the front door and side-lite, the garage side door, and the garage 2-car door also add hurricane panel to a glass block window. These items did not meet hurricane standards for home owners insurance discount. Matt explained the scope of the work and that it would take 4-6weeks to complete, waiting for the products to come in would take the longest time. I received an emailed estimate with a full itemized breakdown of costs a couple days later and it was followed up by a phone call by Matt Sr. who went over the costs. Later in the week he called again to give me a quote on a less expensive door product (a steel door instead of a French door) that dropped the price down a few hundred dollars. I appreciated the other option but in the end, we went with another company that offered different products. I liked that Matt Sr., the owner of the company called me twice to follow up and to offer competitive prices. Although, we did not use this company, I still highly recommend them for their professionalism and attentive customer service.

I have to start by saying that the very day I called, Matt, came over to give me my estimate. I was impressed from the cheery first phone call. Then so pleasantly surprised that he just tacked me on to the end of his work day to give me my estimate. I wasn't sure if I would replace my windows with impact windows & doors or just regular windows & keep my shutters. Matt, sent me separate estimates via email on the very next day. He always followed up via text messaging. During the entire process he always got back to me quickly. Making me feel like no question was too small. After the price comparison I decided to go the hurricane impact route for the additional peace of mind. They were here on time & worked very quickly & efficiently. I think there was a crew of 6 men & they were like a well oiled working machine. They had sack lunches & only took that one break all day long. I would say that there were a couple of plant casualties as they have to get right up to you house. If you have something very dear to you make sure that you tell them beforehand. My favorite part was when the trouble shooter came in on day two. He painstakingly looked at every nook & cranny with me to be sure that I was 100% satisfied. Even when I would insist that something was fine he'd reply "no, Matt, wouldn't be happy with that!"& fix whatever it was. My boyfriend came over the evening after they were finished installing & he was looking around in amazement. His exact words to me were "It doesn't look like they were ever here!" My windows & doors are stunning! The best part is that they are keeping my noisy neighbors barking dogs quiet lol! My electric bill is lower, I have peace of mind in the event of a hurricane. I have already recommended this fabulous company to several of my family & friends. I would tell anyone reading this review that I give 'Quinn & Sons Hurricane Protection' an enthusiastic two thumbs way up!

I called Matt Guinn to repair one of my 15 yr old, motorized Rolladen rolldown shutters. He promptly sent Norman the very next day. He arrived on time to give me an estimate. He was very professional and obviously had a long history of working in the hurricane shutter installation and repair business. He easily diagnosed the problem and showed me what was needed to repair correctly. We also discussed servicing multiple other rolldown shutters, which I had done no maintenance on for years. After settling on the price with Matt, Norman stayed on the job and did all the work that same day. He was efficient, professional and cleaned up at the end of the long day. He had estimated it would take about 6 hrs to do the job and it did. I would recommend Matt and Norman very highly. My only small complaint would be the price of the service. It seemed a little high. But considering that the work is very specialized and there are few companies willing to do it honestly and professionally, in the end the price was worth it.
