Warning: most Miami area plumbers are greedy price gougers. They typically take only "emergency" jobs such as a leak so they can charge double. They don't answer the phone and they don't return messages ... unless they sniff money. Grease Trap Masters turned out to be incredibly decent, honest, competent people. The name is deceptive because they do all plumbing jobs, not just restaurants. I almost didn't call them because I don't have a grease trap. They replaced a section of the sewer line running from my house into the septic tank and did a pump out for $500. Pumpouts typically cost $350 for 1250 gallons. I had the tank pumped out 3 months ago but Sal insisted he would do it again no extra charge. The line had been broken by tree roots but the line was flowing okay into the tank so it wasn't an "emergency". I had a day labor guy dig around the line first for about $75. Joey Barber quoted $700 without a pumpout. Florida Blue, Aaron Suarez quoted $2200, no pumpout. Southern Septic quoted $2000, no pumpout but that included trenching around the line. The job took about 2 hours, plus an hour when Sal had to get a part he had forgotten about. (Tip: always get an estimate of how long a job will take so you can tell if they are ripping you off). Grease Trap's brothers team, both named Sal, were friendly, skilled, totally professional and explained the job in detail as we went along. I can't wait for my next plumbing failure so I can call the Sal brothers knowing they will not rob me.

This company came in a time of need. They did great work. They were quick efficient and fair. Best of all they were able to take care of my problem on the spot!
