 + -1 moreContacted Best Buy Geek Squad by phone and set up appointment to pick-up a LCD TV on the December 26th and paid $100. Emphasized that I live in a condo that only allows service elevator usage between 8AM and 4PM. They noted it on the order and said it would probably be in the morning. Used a vacation day to be there so they could pick-up the TV. Best Buy Geek Squad left automated message on the December 25th saying pick-up would occur between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. I called back and was assured that they intended to pick it up a little after 2:00 PM so the 4:00 PM deadline should not pose a problem. On the 26th in the afternoon received a call that the truck was behind but was told they would still make it before 4:00 PM. At 3:40 PM I called and spoke to a supervisor who said that the truck would not make it because there was an elevator problem and some rain showers. I then asked when the driver was likely to come since I could haul the TV to the ground floor myself and wait with it. He responded that he can never say when a driver will be there but noted there were three stops before me. I had to call a different number to request a refund, which they granted. Bottom line, Best Buy was not able to make the pick up during a six hour window. I would be careful about contracting with Best Buy Geek Squad if you have any time constraint.
