everything well except that in his wat to my house he took a detour to do another job (that entered later than mine) which created a 40 min delay.

The company is not very well organized. We ordered the window (express order for this for delivery in 2 weeks) and the door (with privacy hazed window, like for a bathrrom). The window came in 3 weeks time and was completely the wrong dimension and then had to be reordered, with subsequent delivery 3 weeks later, delaying and upsetting a kitchen renovation project. The door was not delivered unitl 3 MONTHS time, although I was constatntly calling them to find out status of the order and when it would arrive, AND the door ended up be delivered with CLEAR glass and not the hazed glass as we requested. The installation of the window was horrible, with ugly finishing touches. We then decided to have the door installed by someone else. The price was competitive, but because of the dependability and the quality of the product and installation, I would definitely recommend you not use this company.

In April 2005, I called Ready Window several times requesting the status, and was told that they were "awaiting the permit." I called monthly thereafter, but received no response. After waiting 8 months from date of contract, I filed complaints with the State, County and Better Business Bureau. The contractor advised the BBB that they had been unable to contact me (which cannot be true since I have an answering machine, e-mail, and snail mail). After further delay, The Miami-Dade Code Compliance office forced the contractor to refund my deposit in full, which I received in Oct 2005 (9 months after contract). However, the contractor still has an open building permit on my apartment, which can only be closed by a contractor. I sent Ready Windows a check for the full amount of the permit, but have been unable to get him to close the permit. This has all been a huge waste of time for me.

This was the worst experience with a contractor I ever had, although I've never had windows replaced before. They screwed up every step of the way. The engineer who did the plans was fired, and the plans had to be resubmitted to get a permit. There were delays from the window factory itself (PGT) which are understandable. But, they made mistakes with the order so it took 8 months for them to finish the installation, in addition to the 7 months it took from the initial order of the beginning installation. The workers didn't protect the floors and made a mess, inside and outside. Also, they didn't inform me that all my window sills would be demolished, and they had no plans to fix them. The list of complaints goes on. Find another company!!

THEY DO VERY GOOD WORK. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. THEY WERE VERY HARD WORKERS. THEY HAD THE WINDOWS DONE THAT SAME DAY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY.
