Daniel Crespo and his team are the embodiment of professionalism and take great pride in their work! I had found Florida Standard Roofing in a "Rave Review" in the Angie's List magazine. I called Daniel right away, and we set up an appointment. Daniel and his team did NOT disappoint! Daniel arrived on time and brought not only a copy of his license and insurance cards, but also a list of clients whom I could call for recommendations. No contractor in my experience had ever done this, and I was amazed! Furthermore, he brought a "tutorial" explaining all roofing terms and even provided a list of questions that I should ask another roofer in case I did not hire him. He explained all options and prices in detail. It took me longer to choose the roof than it did for the team to install it! The process was flawless! All permits were pulled, and the crew started on a Monday and were finished the same week. (Weather and inspectors had cooperated.) The workers arrived early everyday and were very efficient and organized and always cleaned up. Daniel was in touch with me every step of the way (text, e-mail, phone). He addressed all my concerns and answered all my questions with patience! He even went "above and beyond" by contacting my insurance company and providing them with paperwork. Neighbors have commented on our beautiful designer shingle roof--which has the look of European clay tile. I wholeheartedly recommend Florida Standard Roofing!

Daniel was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We bid this work to several vendors but none were as thorough and transparent as Florida Standard. Pricing was competitive, quality was excellent and they provided a great warranty. We would definitely use this company again.

I wanted to replace my entire roof and had several options in front of me : shingle, tile, metal. It was an intimidating decision for me but I did a lot of research on the internet. I then met with many different roofers through Angieslist ; however, the following things stood out about Florida Standard Roofing: Mr. Crespo's communication style, very high ranking on Angieslist, and price. I'm glad I chose his company because the resulting experience was very smooth. Communication style Mr. Crespo is very communicative throughout the entire process. From the very beginning Mr. Crespo sat down with me and took the time to educate me on the pros and cons of going with shingle, tile and metal. He was never pushy about choosing a particular options but gave me enough information to make an informed decision. Not being a roofer myself I was a bit overwhelmed and I had many questions ; Mr. Crespo always made me feel like no question was a stupid one. He answered every question and always got back to me when he needed to research the answer. He was very easy to reach over the phone, including texting. The installation took several weeks and Mr. Cresp kept me informed ahead of time on which days he was planning to work. Professionalism Mr. Crespo is very professional in that he follows through with what he says. Even the smallest requests I had were acknowledged and taken care of and if there was a fault he fixed it. An example: In the middle of the installation process I noticed some damage to one of my house walls. I assumed it may have been an accident by one of his work equipment and I brought it to his attention. Within a few days he repaired the wall and repainted it. Price When it comes to price the roofing business is the same as any .. you get what you pay for. I received a cheaper quote from another roofer; however, when I researched exactly what I was getting I realized it wasn't comparable to what Florida standard roofing was offering. I also found another reputable competitor to be very high in price with not much more value. Overall, Florida Standard Roofings quote was slightly lower than average of the other quotes I was receiving. I decided to also go with Mr. Crespo's option of installing an additional GAF water barrier layer that offered even stronger protection from water penetration and increased the warranty I received from Florida Standard Roofing. In the end the metal roof I chose was Englert in a Mansard Brown color. It looks great and the process went smoothly. He was very professional and polite, taking extra time to locate a potential leak. Upon agreeing on the estimate, the work was done very quickly and efficiently. This contractor is the best I've ever worked with - and I've owned multiple homes for more than 30 years. Responsive, reliable, went the extra mile again and again. Answered my zillion questions promptly, day and night. I live in a different state and they dealt with the city when I wasn't available - that was no small task (my house is in a historic district). Every person on the team I encountered was great. Price was excellent. I recommend them without any hesitation, you will not regret choosing this group.

Overall, the job and roof were excellent (product and service). We had an old plumbing vent from laundry room that had to be replaced and they called in someone who took care of that. Inspections were done regularly and any corrections made. I'm very satisfied with my new roof. The old boards that had rotted beneath our old shingles were replaced, new lining and shingles, and overall, an excellent job! I'm so pleased to have this worry off my mind now. There have not been any problems and we had many heavy days of rain afterwards. There are no leaks and the roof looks beautiful. I would highly recommend their work and I would use them again.

In 2014, I purchased a home with an open roof permit. I contacted Florida Standard Roofing after finding them on Angie's List. I spoke to Danny about the permit and what I needed to do to close it. He came by my house the next day to look at the roof. He told me that he was going to the permit office the following week with another client, and that he would let me know what steps I needed to follow. Even before I gave him the contract for repairs, Danny had called me with the steps I needed to follow in order to close out the permit. He was true to his word and without pushing me to go with his company for the repairs. Later that day, I called him and told him to do the repairs. He and his team showed up on time, performed the repairs quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. They were all very professional. This entire transaction went smoothly from start to finish. Danny even brought me the forms I needed to fill out at the permit office! I don't know that I could ask for more. I'll be putting in a new roof within the next two years, and I will only be calling Danny and Florida Standard Roofing.

We wanted the shed to be properly enclosed from the elements. Daniel inspected it, and noticed that there some parts of the job that were out of scope for his license and required other expertise (e.g. electrical, drywall installation), so he referred us to an excellent general contractor.

A Mr. Daniel Crespo responded to my contact quickly. He scheduled an apt and arrived on time despite having an issue at another workplace. He was professional and easy to engage. He offered a lower level estimate and higher level of estimate in order to cover the different possibilities of the repair. Mr. Crespo went back to the office and sent me a proposal as agreed upon. Attached to his proposal was a wonderful instructional sheet that educates you on different aspects of a roof and roof repair. There was an error in the contract and Mr. Crespo was notified. He immediately corrected it and resend the contract despite me having signed the one with the error. He nullified the original and honored the new one. In these times, I can see many companies defaulting to the fact that I had already signed. He then showed on the agrred upon day. Unfortunately, I could not attend which is an issues as it is my parents home and my father has Alzheimers. I informed Mr. Crespo and he was very respectful of how I requested to engage my elderly parents. He sent me iphone photos of every stage of the job. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Florida Standard Roofing Thank you "Angie's List" for providing me with the name of an outstanding roofing company, "Florida Standard Roofing"!!! Daniel Crespo, one of the company's owners, arrived in less than 24 hours after my first phone call to request an inspection of my roof. He was very courteous and professional in his knowledge, appearance and presentation of roofing repair and roofing replacement. I described a leak I had found and was trying to decide whether I should repair the leak or replace my 21-year-old roof. He quickly climbed onto my roof, inspected the area of the leak and, while on the roof inspected the rest of my roof. He then provided me with a report. He explained what he'd found, the methods of repair and its guarantee of success. He gave me an idea of what the repair would cost. Since I knew the age of my roof, I also asked him what replacement of the roof would cost, the time frame of replacing it and material options. He brought in several brochures of the various materials he used in roof replacement. He took the time to explain every aspect of replacing the roof from preparation to guarantee. After he had answered all of my questions, he went to his office to prepare cost estimates for repair and replacement. Within two hours, I had an email from him with all the information I needed. The best choice for me; I decided to have my roof replaced. Daniel prepared and assembled everything needed for the job. He frequently called to keep me informed of the replacement schedule. Materials were delivered on the evening prior to removal of the old roof. Work began on Monday morning and my new roof was completed at 3:00 PM the next afternoon! I was amazed and delighted! My roof is beautiful!!! My yard is clean and neat and no damage was done! Daniel came by the next day and delivered all the guarantees and paperwork I needed to submit to my insurance company for the additional premium deductions. I'm very pleased that I decided to go with Florida Standard Roofing (Danny Crespo). He was the only company that responded promptly to my inquiry. In fact, throughout the installation of the roof, Danny responded to every concern and question that I had during the process. Danny provided the following service for me: 1) He came out to my house promptly at my first request at my convenience. 2) He surveyed my roof and listened to me when I explained my budget needs, but quality roofing concerns. 3) He took the time to explain the details about the various materials and types of roofs. 4) When I had decided on the type of shingle I wanted (and I needed many boards on the roof replaced because our roof was over 30 years old), Danny sent me a quote via email as well as a hard copy. 5) He left a palatte of shingles for me to review to decide on the color. 6) I couldn't believe how promptly the work began and the materials arrived. 7) The crew was out early and started the process-tearing out old rotten shingles (30 years old) and rotten wood and replaced the wood and then began with the shingles. 8) Danny provided photos of the roof during the process. 9) The crew cleaned up the area each day. 10) Proper permits were obtained, the work was done and during the process, the inspector came out to check the roof-adjustments were made, and then inspection. 11) When my gas heater vent had rotted (this was discovered during the process), Danny found a plumbing contractor to take care of that end (unforseen expense, but reasonable). This had to pass inspection as well. 12) When all inspections were completed and approved, the senior Mr. Crespo came out late at night when I couldn't figure out how to light the gas heater (some jostling during the installation by the plumber). It was very nice of him to come out late at night at a moment's notice. 13) Now the roof just has to pass final inspection, which was contingent on the plumbing being remedied, and that will not be a problem. This is truly a professional, but 'family' business and they know their trade. I would certainly use their service again and recommend them, without reservations, on Angie's list and to my friends. I'm so relieved to have this work done as my husband became quite ill and could no longer take care of these matters. It has been a relief to know a solid / sound roof is over our heads, especially now, during this rainy season.

.Danny the owner called before the appointment time letting me know who was coming and what they were driving. His roofer came on time as scheduled . I brought him in the house and showed him where the initial problem was he then went outside to where it was and took care of it approximately 2 hours. I am a woman who lives alone and was treated with respect ,he was honest, and got a good job and a great price. I will definitely work only with this roofer again. Very satisfied customer. Debbie ..

We are new homeowners and new to South Florida. Having been warned about finding contractors who are honest, professional and thorough, we were nervous about having this work done. From first contact with Daniel, I felt at ease and knew he would do a good job for a fair price. In fact, several other local contractors were willing to quote us for full fascia replacement (as we initially thought that is what needed to be done) for the entire perimeter of the house. Daniel explained to us that as our cement tile roof is already 22 years old, we should just repair the fascias that are rotten and do the rest when we replace the roof. This lowered our costs and proved to us that Florida Standard works with full integrity and knows that by being honest and professional, we will call on them when the roof does need replacing. The work included removing two rows of tile, replacing the underlay and installing new flashing with the new fascia board. The workers were on time, courteous and cleaned up the area at the end of the day. When working on an older roof, there were some small snags but they were able to come up with what we hope will be proper solutions and Daniel explained everything so we understood what was happening. Would not hesitate to recommend them and they will be our go-to roofing contractors going forward.

I guess I should have wriiten this above and what I wrote above here but here it goes. The first project was replacing about 30 - 40 barrel tiles on my roof that were destroyed from all of the mangoes from my 3 trees dropping on them as well as the soffitt under that area of the roof that had deteriorated from water coming down through the broken tiles. Daniel came out himself to survey what was needed, he showed up the next day after I called and had an estimate within a day. I approved the work and his crew came out within a few days to fix the tiles and soffit. They had everything done in a day. The second project was a leak I was getting from a part of the roof that was a flat roof (no barrel tiles). Daniel suggested a product that was especially made for that type of roof that had outstanding results. He came out and again took before and after pictures, cleaned the entire area of all dirt and debris and coated the roof with the product. He even sent me links to the product's website showing how the product works, how its applied and how well it works with handling rain and rain puddles. Its been about 5 months since the job and I haven't seen any leaks anymore...and you know how bad it rains in Miami in the summer. What I really liked about this job is I had another procedure in mind, but Daniel mentioned that my procedure would have taken much more time, alot more work and more money. Like I mentioned above he makes you feel like what he's suggesting is what he would do to his own roof - you rarely get that type of honestly today. The third project was a small leak that had formed in my chimney. Daniel again came out literally the next day after I called. He took pictures, took the time to explain to me what he saw and how he thought it should be handled, mentioned the options I had and the cost of each - and which option he thought was the best. They came out a day or two after and had the job done in a day.

I was in introduced to Florida Standard Roofing by a friend of mine that had work done on their roof by them. I contacted Daniel Crespo and we scheduled a time for him to come out and take a look at my roofing issues. We was very prompted and arrived on time, he climbed onto my roof then ask for access to my attic to make sure he pin pointed the problem, I had that same leaked repaired twice by other contractors and the leak would stop but a couple months later they would start up again. He informed me that the reason that happened was because the previous contractors we just applying products over the top of the problem, he said he would removed not only the materials used in the other leak repairs but would go down to the wood deck to make sure the leak was done properly. I felt that he was very sincere and knew what he was talking about. He also took his time to answer all the questions I had, which were a few. A few hours later I received his proposal, which was very detailed on what he would be doing, his price was fair and after speaking with my friend again I decided to hire them. On the day the job was scheduled to begin Daniel arrived first followed by his crew, he introduced his Forman to me and they all climbed on the roof, after Daniel showed them were the leak was work began. Daniel passed by the job site a few times to make sure everything was going smoothly. He invited me to go up on the roof so I could see what the problem was. His crew was very knowledgeable and courteous as well they picked up after themselves after their lunch. Once the crew had left he walked around the property and on the roof to make sure all the trashed was removed, which it was, and asked if I was happy with the job and if I had any questions or concerns. He provided me with a final invoice and warranty along with a few pictures of all the stages of the job which I really liked. I can honestly say that my experience with Florida Standard Roofing was very pleasant and I recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their roof.

It went very well. I dealt with the company's VP of operations Daniel Crespo. Beginning at the quote stage, Daniel was extremely professional in his presentation of the product lines and different options that were available to us, that was followed by a complete and detailed competitive proposal. The construction phase went equally as well with Daniel being frequently on site supervising his crew and most important was on site for every inspection. Once the project was complete, Daniel handed us a complete package with all of the warranties, final inspection documents, and a final release of lien. Being an architect, I was surprised at the lack of expertise from many roofing companies. Florida Standard was very knowlegable and offered options on roofing systems to meet my needs. They gave me a very reasonable price and were prompt and professional. Once I agreed and signed a contract, they scheduled the work quickly and were punctual. They executed the work effectively and workmanship was excellent.

Knowing the large expense of replacing an entire roof we knew the only way to approach this task was via Angie's List. Who better to trust and believe than other likeminded consumers with the same needs who have been through the experience? Without hesitation we can say we made the right decision to have our work done by Daniel Crespo and his team at Florida Standard Roofing. I was on a tight budget, but needed to repair one corner of my roof by the garage. I had received 2 quotes that were so far apart in scope of work to be done & cost that I didn't know who to trust... in addition, one of the quotes provided required me to wait for "3 weeks for them to start the work". I decided to get another quote... that's why I went to Angie's list and found another company with good review (Florida Standard Roofing Inc.). I sent an email and in less than a minute, I received a call from Daniel Crespo. He sent within an hour his crew to inspect the roof. One hour later I got a quote from him. The price was really fair and they were ready to start the work next day early in the morning. For some reason I felt confidence on the crew and Daniel and I decided to hire them. (It was a really good choice) Daniel was the first to show at my property and explained me in details the work that needed to be done. The crew was really knowledgeable, professional and polite, they answered any concern/question I had. Excellent communication throughout the process! At the end, I ended up paying less than I thought I would. They left my home & yard clean, and free of debris. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing roof repairs or re-roofing. Let me start by reminding readers that the true test of a roofing job lies in: 1) duration and 2) how the contractor responds when you place a claim on the warranty. Let's face it: Sh#@ happens, and sooner or later even the best roof is gonna need work. I cannot comment on these measures because the roof system I purchased is brand new and has yet to withstand the tests of Time and Mother Nature. Nevertheless.... I do not see why Florida Standard is on page 2 of the Angie's List search results: They are the BEST company I have ever hired to work on my house! They should be at the top of page 1! They should also receive the Angie's List Super Service award. I have dealt with "Super Service" providers who are not half as responsive, professional, hard-working, quality-focused, or knowledgeable as Messrs. Crespo (father and son) of Florida Standard, yet somehow these jokers have more accolades. It should not be this way: "Super Service" is what I got from the Crespos and their team. Service and professionalism like never before. And quality? Just look at the beautiful photos! Here's the scoop: Messrs. Crespo (owners) and Escobar (foreman) were prompt, patient and always responded with alacrity and integrity to my incessant questions. Not an easy task, given how hands-on and detail-oriented I am! They know their trade and are articulate when discussing the installation, materials, and permitting processes. I never caught them in a lie as I have other contractors. Their laborers are punctual, diligent, efficient, meticulous, and have a great sense of humor. Dad and son are on the job as well and run a real tight ship! And their license is old--no wonder they know what they are doing! They attend to details while getting the job done fast! I am so glad I hired Florida Standard! I cannot wait to see them become Super Service recipients year after year and eventually get the superb recognition they deserve: Their prices are fair, their workmanship outstanding, and their patience with customers unending. They are honest, ethical people who never attempted to "force" a sale but rather worked with me to draw up a contract that met my needs and budget. I must say it has been one of the smoothest and most professional transactions I have had the pleasure to deal with in my property management career. Danny and his Father both came out to inspect the property not once but twice to make sure they did all that I asked of them. I was amazed of the frequent and high end detailed reports they provided me of their progress and findings. In providing me these reports it made my job a lot easier in explaining the progress of the work to the board of directors. Danny was a true professional and very knowledgeable. At no point did I feel uncomfortable thinking he was trying to just make a quick buck. I had a few leaks in the house and he took the time to inspect the roof with me carefully and the ceiling inside to make sure we fixed all the leaks. It was obvious he takes pride and cares about the work he does. I have no complaints about Danny or Florida Standard Roofing. Although the work on my house was minimal to fix a few leaks, I will definitely be using him in the next couple months to redo my entire roof.
