I had a terrible experience with Flamingo Appliance Service of the Treasure coast service tech (Andrew). We have a new whirlpool refrigerator (under warranty) came with the new home purchase through Pulte Varanda Gardens. The refrigerator was making a load noise every time the fan came on to cool down the refrigerator. The builders tech came out to fix it and said it was just the way these new models are and there nothing he can do. Obviously trying to save the builders Money and not interested in fixing the problem. So naturally I called whirlpool. They sent out a tech the next day and after receiving the new fan and motor in a few days... Guess what! Its Fixed! Now is it to much to get what your entitled to and for the tech to do his job. I guess that's why they have such terrible reviews. Definitely don't call Flamingo Appliance services. especially if your not under warranty.. Good Luck to all!

Flamingo Appliances technicians are money hungry and malicious, if you don't give them the job they quote you on the spot they can be evil. My Kitchen Aid oven caught fire while on the cleaning cycle, I couldn't open the oven obviously, so I had to turn off the panel breaker; as result this took a fuse out and oven was permanently closed. I placed call to Kitchen Aid and they contacted Flamingo Appliance Service to inspect the oven, although the oven has less than 100 hrs. of use is just 10yrs old they don't want to fix it but want to charge $350. for a $28 dollar fuse. So the point here is, that I didn't approve Flamingo to do the job but asked the technician to leave the oven door opened, he literally left door oven opened wide opened obstructing kitchen area, so when closed the door oven is LOCKED UP. I tried opening it myself but could not get it to open, so I placed a call to Flamingo specially for technician to leaved oven door opened in a way that would not interfere with kitchen, technician opened the latch but couldn't figure out how to keep the oven door opened without obstructing the area, he tried with one of my kitchen rags, then a thin tape he carried in his tool box, talk about lack of common sense and expertise, I got some gorilla tape placed it an X form over the latch and voila oven door is staying opened, nevertheless I had to pay Flamingo $139 dollars to teach this inept technician how to keep an oven door from latching again. I then called Flamingo and complained, of course they will not loose their 139. but will a customer and potential customers that come my way. NEVER AGAIN WILL I REACH OUT TO THIS INCOMPETENT SERVICE COMPANY CALLED FLAMINGO. TO THIS DAY I THINK IT WAS ALSO A BIT OF MALICE ON THE TECH'S BEHALF SINCE I DIDNT APPROVE THE 350.00 JOB HE DECIDED NOT TO BE HELPFUL.
Description of Work: KEEPING AN "OVEN DOOR OPENED" WITHOUT OBSTRUCTING OTHER AREAS OF THE KITCHEN, KEEPING DOOR FROM CLOSING TO LATCH AGAIN. NO COMMON SENSE WHATSOEVER, NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE .

I had a KitchenAid microwave oven that quit heating. This oven was 3 yrs old and I did not have an extended warrantee and I was directed by KitchenAid to call Flamingo as a local service company. I called them and they created a ticket and sent it on to the service tech. Hel called me and knew right away what the issue was. I had an appointment scheduled and then they called back and said they needed to wait for a 3rd part to come in. The appointment was scheduled and the tech came out. He started on the repair, got as far as unplugging the microwave. I told him the warranty was up and asked if he was aware of that. The worked stopped and then he gave me an estimate of $700 to fix it and said I was better of getting a new one. I asked why he or the company didnt tell me that in the first place, he had no answers. He packed up his gear, suggested getting a new one and proceeded to charge me $149 for the visit!! He knew exactly what was wrong before he came here and pretended to not know the oven was out of warranty. So, $149, for nothing. Management called me and said that is their process and the $149 is not refundable!! These people knew what was wrong, as they had the parts to fix it, knew that it was out of warranty and scheduled the visit to get that $149 for not doing any work. I spoke with the management and they basically said, too bad for you. PLEASE AVOID DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE FRADULENT AND WILL SHAKE EVERY NICKEL OUT OF YOU FOR NOTHING!!

Worst customer service ever. My Whirlpool fridge compressor failed and Whirlpool setup a repair with Flamingo. After waiting patiently a week for a technician to diagnose (confirm my report) a compressor failure, it took a week to order and obtain a new compressor, then another week since the repair could not be scheduled until part was in hand. After patiently waiting three weeks for the warranty repair, the Flamingo service man didn't show for the 1pm to 4 pm appointment because HE FAILED TO BRING THE CORRECT TOOLS!!! I had to call Flamingo to find out the truth and then I was told I had to reschedule to Flamingo's earliest availability 10 days later. Flamingo will not offer any solution for THEIR SCREWUP other than they will show up on the rescheduled day. My family will have been without a fridge for a over month by the time they show up! Apparently this is acceptable to Flamingo's management. If you can find another service company, do so. If you are assigned Flamingo as a warranty repair, request another company. Absolutely atrocious customer service. Flamingo Appliance Service, when you are ready to demonstrate real customer service, I'll consider adjusting my complaints with Whirlpool and BBB!🤬 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤯🤯🤬🤬🤬 Whirlpool, hope you read this and decide to take some action. Your customer service isn't much better.

This was a selected service provider from my KitchenAid warranty. Unfortunately, while everyone is nice, after 4 visits to my house over a 4 month period, our fridge still doesn't work. Each time they came out, they prescribed a "fix"... 1) shut it off for a week, then turn it back on... 2) this sealed system part is the issue, wait 4 weeks for the part and we will come back... 3) comes back with the part and a new tech says the sealed system isn't the issue, he won't replace the part because it's a different issue. Order a different part... 4) after 4 weeks of waiting for the part and an additional 3 weeks to get on their calendar (they won't put you on ahead of time) ... My day to have my fridge fixed has come and somehow my appointment was removed from the calendar, the part is in, but I'll have to wait a week. Everyone is nice, don't get me wrong... But I want a fridge that works... Not 4 months of being jerked around.

My Whirlpool oven (Model WFG505M0BS0) stopped working - the bottom oven part (the top burners were OK), the display on top functioned normally, but no fire came on. I called Whirlpool, and then I accessed Whirlpool online and scheduled service with their official service representative - Flamingo Appliance Service [*** Link removed ***] for September 9, 2020. When the repairman arrived on 09-09-2020, he opened up the stove and checked it, and he told me that a computer part needs to be replaced, as well as the igniter, and the cost would be between $400.00 and $600.00 (I don't remember the exact amount), I told SEVERAL times, maybe it's just the igniter (for which the cost would less than $100.00 AND already included in the $134.95), but he insisted that the computer needed to be replaced, I did not like the way he explained it to me, it did not make sense. After that I was planning to buy a new stove, as the repair was too high. But, I decided to try to change the igniter myself before getting rid of the stove (the igniter cost was $21.00). I just got the igniter recently, and installed it, with help from YouTube, and what do you? THE STOVE IS WORKING!!! THIS IS FRAUD!!! FLAMINGO APPLIANCE SERVICE ARE THIEVES, AND BY ASSOCIATION, WHIRLPOOL, WHOM THEY REPRESENT ARE THIEVES ALSO. I shall publicize to the best of my abilities: NOT TO BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS!!! THIS WAS NOT A MISTAKE!!! THIS IS THE WAY THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF!! EITHER BY PAYING EXORBITANT AMOUNTS FOR UNNECESSARY REPAIRS, OR BY BUYING NEW APPLIANCES WHEN THE OLD ONES ARE STILL GOOD. DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL!!! DON'T USE FLAMINGO APPLIANCE SERVICE THEY'RE BOTH FRAUDSTERS

Refrigerator leak-this company has been to my home 5 separate times attempting to repair the same leak from the bottom of the refrigerator, 5 separate attempts with different servicemen and they are still guessing and wanting to charge me for service trips and parts. they want to hide behind a expired warranty and not Address the real issue of why they’ve had to come out 5 times and not resolving the issue. Why should I pay for your failure to resolve the issue the first time around. There’s refrigerator cost me over $4000 and it’s less than three years old. Probably begin the first year and now we’re hitting year 5 service calls later for the same issue

My whirlpool refrigerator was rattling and not making ice. We called Flamingo Appliance Service because they delivered the refrigerator we had purchased from Costco in 2015. A technician was scheduled to come on Monday between 8:00-10:00 to fix my Whirlpool refrigerator. Instead the technician, Marcello, called and asked about the problems the refrigerator was experiencing. After my wife explained, he stated that he knew what the problem was and that he was going to order the parts. Marcello proceeded to tell us that the refrigerator needed several parts. He began to quote prices on the parts and said he was going to help us get the best deal. He never came to the house on Monday. Thursday morning, Marcello came to fix the refrigerator. It took him approximately 30 minutes to finish. He did not even replace all the screws back on the refrigerator. The part Marcello replaced was a Motor-Evap W10276647. That was it! He charged us $780.83. According to the invoice. The Motor-Evaporator was 189.70. The cost of labor was $469.00 and an “Other” charge of $75.00. I called Flamingo Appliance Service to complain about the service charge and the “Other” charge. Stephanie explained that her supervisors said there was nothing they could do about the service charge. Then they proceeded to explain that the “Other” charge for $75.00 was because when the technician came on Monday, we did not commit to having the service done at that moment. If we did not commit, then why was the part ordered and the appointment made? This is highway robbery! William Avila

the technician decided to caulk instead of possibly putting a new gasket around the drawer of the freezer that was wrong and it cost me $233 of labor for a 10-minute caulking job.... they came back with the wrong color of gasket for a second try and before he left I asked him what would he have charged me for labor and he said $180 ridiculous ....way too expensive had to hire somebody new.

Scheduled service on my Kitchenaide dishwasher which was only 2 months old. First appointment was cancelled day they were expected because the incompetent person who made the appointment put down the billing address rather then the service address which she was given along with a unit number and gate access. Appointment was rescheduled, I explained that the water was not coming into the dishwasher. I had to wait a week for that appointment. My son took the day off of work to be there when the technician came. Appointment was confirmed night before and morning of. Later in the morning technician called to say he read that it needed a water valve and he didn't have the part, would have to order it!!! Told me it would take five days. I will review again if they even show up, but as of today I would stay clear of this company, not reliable at all!

I was having issues with my fridge's front touch panel and ice maker motor. Flamingo was the contractor selected for extended warranty service purchased by the previous homeowner who bought the fridge at Famous Tate. Arranging an appointment by phone was simple. The technician (Mark I believe) arrived on time and with replacement parts that were most likely needed based on the issue described on the phone. He did an excellent job diagnosing and fixing both issues, and all was covered by the Famous Tate extended warranty. Thank you!

We were serviced by Flamingo Appliance Service on March 9th. The "repairman" Gary told us this was an electrical problem and not the stove. He never even opened up the back of the stove. He took the $100 service fee and walked out the door. We called Sergant Electrical. Nick came the same day and told us it WAS the oven. He fixed it. We tried to get our money back from Flamingo since they would have fixed the stove since it was the stove and the service fee wouldn't have been paid for nothing. We called twice and never got a call back from the manager Yulie Ramirez as promised. Waste of time and $$.

SCAM ALERT!! Wow missed an appointment without calling then tried to reschedule a whole other week later! DO NOT TRUST AS THEY WILL NOT SHOW UP TO COMPLETE YOUR WARRANTY REPAIR!! Called about a brand new Ikea appliance being broken on 12/26/17 without ever being used and was upset to learn that my holiday guests would not have an oven for the holidays because the soonest appointment was for 12/29/17. We reluctantly agreed to the 12/29/17 appointment provided that it was repaired to working order that day. Come Friday 12/29/17 we cancelled holiday plans to be at the house for the technician so we would be sure to have an oven for our holiday celebrations over the weekend. No call, no show, no contact, nothing from Flamingo Appliance Service. Leaving our oven broken for the entire visit of family who traveled over 3,000 miles to be with us. Unacceptable! Come today 1/2/18 I finally get a call to notify me they "accidentally" forgot to reschedule my appointment that they "accidentally" missed because of a "family emergency" and apologized. But then went on to state that unfortunately they have no space until next week 1/8/18 to actually schedule the warranty repair that was to be completed on 12/29/17!!! Disgraceful!! I called over a week ago so why would I be put in the back of line of appointments due to their mistake!!! No integrity, no business sense, and complete lack of respect for customer. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. Update for today 1/19/18 the supervisor came to "fix the issue" after my complaints, minutes after arriving he left and refused to service the unit because he couldn't get it out of the cabinetry far enough. Saying that he needs me to call an electrician to remove the wiring. I requested him to show me that in the installation manual, which he was not able to because it is a lie! Called Whirlpool to file an official complaint and get a new service company out to finish the work. Whirlpool clearly stated that the wiring is NOT required to be loose enough to remove the unit from the cabinet and it is Flamingo responsibility to service the unit regardless. Flamingo does not know how to service the units they are hired to service!! SCAM!!!

FANTASTIC - Mr. Hector Mendez was the assigned technician, not only did Mr. Mendez determine what the problem was, he fixed it and then he pointed out areas where we as the consumer/owner can ensure better care of our refrigerator and how to avoid issues when doing home cleaning. While he was here we thought the water on the floor was from the dog's water dish, Mr. Mendez did a quick inspection and determined that in fact there was a hairline crack in part of the water supply system and did a quick, efficient, and permanent fix to the problem. Mr. Mendez also noticed the type of washer/dryer we had and provided us additional information on the use and care of our washer which was extremely informative. Mr. Mendez is a total professional and knows his craft. We were very fortunate to have had Mr. Mendez assigned as our technician to solve our problems and educate us to better use and extend the life of our appliances - just outstanding. He also provided us additional information regarding extending our warranty which we were not aware of but will apply when the time is appropriate. Not only is Whirlpool a great product, their technicians are top notch, arrived ahead of schedule, notified us prior to his arrival, and did an outstanding job on solving our problems.

My new Whirlpool Duet washer was only 1 week old when it required service. Whirlpool referred me to Flamingo because it was the only so-called Whirlpool repair shop in the area. First of all, it takes over 1 dozen appointments before someone actually shows up. Flamingo has a system that they call to confirm. You must answer on the first ring, or they will cancel your appointment. I am hearing impaired and have a special phone, so I can’t hear on the first ring. Flamingo informed me that they do not like to service anyone with a disability. They also told me that they prefer customers who are Spanish - speaking and do not like Americans. Their discrimination practices were unbelievable! When I questioned these attitudes, they said that since they are in Miami and the only provider, they could do whatever they wanted. When someone finally did come out, they sent a young person who was fresh out of tech school and had only been on the job for a week. She had never worked on a Whirlpool washer before and was totally unfamiliar with the machine. In fact, she told me that she had never done a load of laundry in her life because she still lived with her parents and her mother washed her clothes in a GE washer. She took one look at my machine, threw up her hands, and walked out. I was never able to get another appointment because of my disability and because I was not Spanish-speaking. So....I was stuck with a brand new Whirlpool washer that did not work.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], We sincerely apologize for the service experience you recently went through. Here at Flamingo Appliance all of our technicians are all Whirlpool certified with ample training in the appliances we service. We most certainly do not stand for any discrimination towards our customers, employees or people in general. Our Team is very diverse and we believe that is part of what makes us the company we are. Mr. [Member Name Removed] , looking further into the history we have for you, I found that our last encounter or attempt to schedule service with you was early last year on your older washer that was under an extended warranty. Are you certain this experience was with us? We don't have a young female technician that fits your description or a recent ticket for you in our system. This week we attempted to reach you via phone and email so we may discuss this matter and our findings. We wish to clarify this confusion regarding the encountered you experienced with another servicer. These actions you are alleging are not a reflection of how we work and treat our customers here at Flamingo Appliance and want to make sure we clarify this matter as soon as possible.

Recently had Flamingo Appliance come out to repair our oven/microwave unit, whose control display went out. Our tech, Hector Mendez, was very professional and extremely thorough in troubleshooting. He tested multiple parts (rather than just ordering a new control panel, which would not have fixed the issue), and ordered all parts just in case something unforeseen popped up. He resolved the issue in a timely manner, and treated the appliance as if it was his own while pulling it out and placing it back in to the wall cabinet. He also gave some tips on oven use as well as tips re: our dishwasher. His effort to go above and beyond ensures that should I have appliance issues in the future, I will be contacting Flamingo. Thanks Hector!

We just moved to SFL back in Oct. the house came with a really nice whirlpool refrigerator. The only issue we had was the ice maker was not producing ice in a timely manner (one batch every 12hrs). On Nov 11, 2016, I called Whirlpool and because the refrigerator was out of warranty we were able to purchase an extended warranty to get it serviced and so we did. On Nov 16, 2016, was our first appointment and the two techs came were very nice and replaced the ice maker but said there was another issue and that we'd have to schedule a new appointment as they had to order hardware as they didn't have it on their truck. I understood and they ordered the part and I scheduled another appointment. at this point, we still weren't getting any ice and now the freezer wasn't freezing. All this while we had a house full of people for Thanksgiving! Our next appointment was Nov 28, 2016 (12 days with not being able to use the freezer) the next repair guy came out and he spent about 3hrs here, he got behind it and replaced some copper tubing and evaporators that control the temp (his words) and then said that we'd still need to call as there was another part he didn't have that they'd have to order it. Soon after he left we realized the refrigerator was no longer cooling. Our next appointment was Dec 6, 2016 (20 days since we've had a fully functioning refrigerator) we had an appointment window from 12-5pm about 4:30 I called Flamingo Appliance and confirmed that our tech was still scheduled to come out and they confirmed that he would, he was just running behind but assured me that everything was in order and he would be out. We got a phone call at 5:40 pm from the tech with him telling us that Whirlpool didn't include the authorization number in his ticket and he was calling to tell us he wasn't coming and we'd have to reschedule. He was very rude and when I said that as a customer this isn't my issue and why couldn't he have called earlier so I could do something about it. He responded that it was my problem and I'd need to call Whirlpool and reschedule and have them include the authorization number. This was after taking my 3rd day off of work to accommodate Flamingo Appliance's 5hr service window Our next appointment was Dec 12, 2016 (26 days since we've had a fully functioning refrigerator) the tech came out and lifted out one drawer and noticed the back of the refrigerator was frozen and he said that was the issue and the control thermostat would need to be replaced and he didn't have the part that they would have to order it. he was at the house less than 10mins and left Our next appointment was Dec 16, 2016 (30 days since we've had a fully functioning refrigerator) the same tech from the 12 came out and replaced the thermostat and assured us this was the problem and it was now fixed. Today is Dec 18, 2016, and guess what.....STILL NO WORKING REFRIGERATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would highly recommend NEVER EVER using Flamingo Appliance! Their service is horrible and it seems like they are milking Whirlpool for service calls and very inconsiderate.

This company claims to be fast and efficient. Don't believe it! We have been trying to get our Whirlpool washing machine fixed for over a month! We've had six appointments (so far) and nothing has been fixed! We have a 7th appointment for Tuesday. Jan. 11-Machine broke. Jan. 12 - appointment scheduled for the 17th. Jan. 17 (1st appointment) - was scheduled well in advance but 30 minutes before the appointment, we were told they needed to order a part. Why couldn't this have been done when they first got the work order? We were told that they needed to see the washing machine before they could order the part, but they never looked at the washing machine before they ordered the part. Jan. 24 (2nd appointment) - was told someone would be out between 8am-4pm. Waited all day and no one ever came. I'm not clear on what happened. Jan. 31st (3rd appointment) - service guy called and said he had the wrong part and rescheduled. Feb. 2nd (4th appointment) - this was the first time we actually saw a technician. They brought a REFRIGERATOR part to fix a WASHING MACHINE. Since the technician didn't have the right part, he replaced another part that didn't need to be replaced. Machine worked for one load and then broke again. Feb. 7th (5th appointment) - asked them not to come without the right part. Technician showed up with NO parts, and said he needed to order a part. Feb. 10th (6th appointment) - I called this morning to confirm and to make sure they had the part. I was told they had the part and would be here between 12-5. At four o'clock, I hadn't heard from anyone and called the company back. I was told they weren't coming today because they had the wrong part. Told the correct part had been ordered, and they will be here Feb. 14th. At this point, it has been a month since my machine broke. I am very unhappy with the poor service from this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If Whirlpool continues to use Flamingo for warranty service, I can't recommend Whirlpool either.

Home Owners BEWARE!! I called Whirlpool and asked for a different service company and should be getting a phone call tomorrow from another company to have them come out. I would highly recommend NEVER EVER using Flamingo Appliance! Their service is horrible and it seems like they are milking Whirlpool for service calls and very inconsiderate.

Terribly! A tremendous waste of my time waiting for repair man that didn't show, and fielding phone calls from people who have no idea what's going on.
Description of Work: Kept calling my GC instead of me to confirm the appointment. When I called them and told them this, they insisted they never called him. He never showed up. I called and complained and asked to speak to a supervisor, supervisor never called me. Flamingo then called my GC a couple weeks later saying my parts were in! Apparently they ordered parts for my dishwasher, which they never saw. Then apparently schedule a service call without my knowledge, the repair man called me when he was at my door, unfortunately I was out of town. I told him my story and again asked for a supervisor to call me, which never happened A couple of weeks later they called again to schedule an appointment, saying my parts were in! Massive incompetence!

Terrible Customer service could not get it correct... Customer service and the repair man kept calling the wrong number, which was my husband's cell phone...He was in NY and the work was being done locally in FL.. The repair man told my husband that he didn't care that he was NY, and was coming to house anyway... And they got the time frame wrong, we wanted the appointment in the afternoon and they thought morning... Kept bothering my husband in NY, during his busy day , and could not understand that they to call me at home, to coordinate visit... Price estimate was out of control...Total rip off... Also, worst part is that Flamingo was recommended by KitchenAid, whose phone number was in manual.. KitchenAid needs to take Flamingo off the recommended vendor list...!!!

Whirlpool connected me to Flamingo Appliance Service for the repair. It took two weeks, numerous phone calls, half a day worth of missed wages, and the strangest service call I’ve ever had to fix a refrigerator door handle. At no point during any of these interactions did anyone from Flamingo Appliance Service acknowledge any issues, apologize, or offer to work with me to resolve the matter. I’m at least glad that my appliance was under warranty and I was not charged for all this aggravation. For the first appointment, we were given a five-hour window for the technician to come to the house for a few minutes to confirm that the handle was broken and write down the part number. He said he would come back the following Friday to install the new handle, as it was an easy 10-minute fix. Since I had not received a confirmation by Friday morning, I called and was told I didn’t have an appointment. I told her that the technician had said he’d make the appointment and agreed to come after 2pm if possible for our convenience. Instead of apologizing for the oversight, she explained in detail which specific staff member was responsible for physically entering the appointment into the computer and repeated I was not on the schedule, they couldn’t see me that afternoon, and I had to schedule an appointment. I stated that, as with the first appointment, I would need a Friday afternoon appointment. She offered me Monday or Tuesday morning. I repeated my request for Friday afternoon and she offered me Friday morning. After the third attempt, my appointment was scheduled for today (Friday) between 12 and 5, with no guarantee that the technician would be able to wait until after 2pm. I called yesterday afternoon to confirm my appointment because I hadn’t received a confirmation and didn’t want to be overlooked again, and this morning to ask if it would be possible to narrow down the five-hour window. The representative said she could not give me a more specific time but could have the technician call me a half-hour prior to arriving. He called at 11am to say he was on his way. I pointed out that this was an hour before my 12-to-5 window and I was still at work. He said that this is the only time he had to see me as he would be leaving the area in the afternoon and would not be returning. The best he could do was give me a window between 12 and 1. I made arrangements to leave work even earlier than I intended to so I could be home before 12. When he had not arrived by 1:30, I called the company and the representative contacted him for an update. He claimed I told him I was unable to see him until between 1 and 3 pm so he pushed my appointment back. I told her that this was not what we had agreed to and I had come home early to be ready at the time he indicated. The only thing she had to say was that I was next on the service list and I just had to wait. None of the representatives I spoke with were able to provide me with the name of the technician that would be coming to my home, which I found very odd as this is standard practice for all other companies I’ve ever hired. He showed up just before 3 pm for a very awkward 10-minute service call during which he did not greet me when I opened the door, spoke to me only when he needed me to sign my invoice and confirm my e-mail address, and then left without saying a word.
