The overall experience was great.  Sometimes companies do not want to take small jobs due to decreased profit.  Firehouse Shutters is not one of those companies.  The service we received was exceptional.

They were very responsive and very pleasant to deal with. The owner came out and handled the sale and the measurements. Another person was sent out to do the installation. He was honest, competitive, and timely. He did an excellent job with the installation. He did not do any damage to our house. He explained everything to us very clearly about how we actually put the shutters up if there is a storm. We had done some remodeling, and we need to have some rails put back up again. We will be calling them to do this.

We met with several other companies before deciding to go with Ron at Firehouse. Each time we met with another company they did not compare to Ron's professionalism and knowledge. He was honest and did not make us feel like he was trying to up-sell us. We had 3 sets of accordions put up over french doors and 5 sets of aluminum panels over windows including a set of clear panels which we never would have thought of going with but are so glad Ron recommended them. The work was completed extremely fast and Ron kept us in the loop every step of the way!!! I would recommend Firehouse a million times over to anyone who is looking for hurricane shutters!

Ron appeared to be very professional in my dealing with him over the phone. I scheduled him to come out to my home and he was also very professional when doing the walk through. My problem is that after being told he would e-mail an estimate I have not heard a single word from him...and it has now been 2 weeks. I cannot comment on his prices...as I've gotten no information. I have signed a contract with another company. I really didn't appreciate making time for him if he wasn't going to follow up.

The owner Ron was very responsive -- he returned my call the same day; he arrived on schedule for the estimate appointment, he provided me many choices and prices. He was flexible with date and times for installation work. On the day of the job, Ron's crew arrived on time; each day they were neat clean and prompt. They finished earlier than planned. Ron came by and inspected their work. He followed up to ensure that I was happy with the job. I plan on using him again next Summer and have recommended him to a number of friends. This has been one of the finest service experiences I have ever had.

Contacted 8 similar companies and my small (but important to me!) job was declined by all but Firehouse. Installer (Mike) very knowledgeable and fast, he came within three days after contact. Fair prices for good work. I will use this company for any new shutter installation.
