+ 0 moreDid not deliver work when promised. They took payment for 1/2 of the work and then disappeared. When work was finally delivered, it did not fit the locations even though they had done the measurements. They had to take the furniture back and redo it. When it was redone it still did not fit properly. They extracted additional funds in order to make the furniture fit, and then did not complete the job, instead leaving final details undone. Do not use this company!

+ -1 moreOur 3 yr old kitchen cabinet doors were starting to chip and flake, but we didn't want to deal with the original cabinet maker. I called The Finishing Center (TFC) and a representative came to the house the next day. He gave us the option of having his crew come to the house to remove the doors and cabinet hardware (hinges & handles) or do it ourselves and save some $$$. I elected to remove the doors and hardware myself. The people who work at TFC were extremely accommodating and told us it would take about 1 week. Two days later they informed me that the job was finished! The kitchen looks great - I wish the vendor I used to build the kitchen cabinets had done the same quality of work as TFC. Everyone at the store was very helpful, from the owner (Bill) and office manager (Desire) to the gentlemen working in the shop who helped me unload 38 (that's right 38!) individual cabinet doors.
Description of Work: Vanished kitchen doors and drawer faces. Awesome work done quickly!

+ -1 moreI could not be more pleased with the services of The Finishing Center. They picked up and delivered on schedule. Friendly, helpful staff. Most of all, my table and buffet look new. Actually better than new as I prefer the flat finish to the original shiny finish. Their services are not cheap, but are well worth the price and a whole lot cheaper than buying new furniture of the same quality.

+ -1 moreBill is a great salesman but the worst provider of customer service that I have ever dealt with. I called many times requesting status of our build in addition to personally going to their shop. He would not return my calls and the few times I did manage to contact him all I got was excuses. I had to send them a certified letter threatening to sue them in Small Claims court to get something done. When they called to deliver I went to the shop to inspect the unit before delivery. It was no where near complete. Then they attempted to deliver the unit before they had installed the doors. And to my horror they took the unit off of their truck and set it on the street where they attempted to install the doors - in the street! I rejected it again. They finally finished and delivered the completed cabinet. We are satisfied with the end product. Absolutely the poorest service.
Description of Work: We contracted with them on March 5th 2013 to build a custom cabinet for our new flat screen TV. We were told that our new cabinet would be delivered in two weeks. We received the cabinet on or about June 15th.

Description of Work: I hired Bill to resurface my dining room furniture which was white washed and I wanted it dark. He did that ok, although very informal and late. Then, I hired him to resurface my bedroom furniture. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!! I need to do it again. The quality was horrible. The furniture was laquered beige and he told me he could make it dark mahogany wood. IT started peeling right after he dropped it, and it looks horrible. He was awful to work with. Very informal. Everything was delivered late and done very poorly. .

+ -1 moreThey were horrendous. Those guys are terrible, every time the guy opened his mouth he basically lied. We never finished the job with him and in fact, I took legal action just for him to return some of the stuff that he took from our home. They told us the job would take 30-60 days maximum in June. The job was incomplete in November. They did the wood paneling and it literally took them 6 months to do it and they did a shitty job. He used labor that he got at Home Depot, these guys that would stand outside of Home Depot that are illegal. He would pick them up and bring them in. He broke more stuff than anything. I got an attorney and we wrote to him a couple of times and in the end he just never showed up again. Absolutely just remarkably bad. My wife was in tears over him several times. He swore. He would commit to do things and then just not do them.
Description of Work: I last used Finishing Center late last year. We had a room in our home and we wanted it turned into a pool room. I wanted wood paneling done on the walls, wood paneling done on the ceiling and a bar area to house a keg and wine cellar.

Description of Work: I saw the crew at the Lobby of The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove during a lunch with my friends visiting from New York. The team got my attention because they had a very professional appeareance, and were working on few pieces around the Hotel. I approached them and found out that their company was in charge of the entire renovation of the lobby and Restaurant furniture, since I had pieces at home that needed restoration I requested their information. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and the nice look on the pieces they were working on. I love that place, and if they trusted that company with their unique pieces, why shouldn't I ?. The Finishing Center gave me a Free estimate, I called a week later to arrange for pick up of my pieces. Price was fair and results were incredible. I am very happy with my pieces, they did a wonderful job. My pieces couldn't look better. I had to wait for completion because they were very busy but at the end, I was very satisfied with results.
