Description of Work: I had a new roof install done. I was immediately pleased that when I called, I was not sent a fast talking salesperson, but the owner came to my home. Everything from start to finish went well. Not many people can say that about their roofer.

Description of Work: the worked on my roof a couple of years ago adding a reflective paint coating and small repairs so it is under warranty. Last year some of the paint peeled away and needed to be repaired. The work was not done at the time but when I reminded him of it he was very apologetic and immediately had someone come out and do the repairs. So I was very satisfied.

Description of Work: I purchased a $99 deal for 2 hours of roof maintenance. The technician did not do too much to the roof. I was not very satisfied with the deal. He did not show me what was wrong with the roof or what repairs were needed. They told me there was nothing wrong, but I ended up having to have another company out for repairs later on. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

Description of Work: This was a total clay tile roof replacement. Roof was approximately 25 years old and was damaged by various hurricanes , including Andrew up through Wilma and Katrina. Patching became to problematic so we had a complete replacement. If it wasn't for the hurricanes the roof would have lasted 35 years. Prior to seeking estimates from 6 roofing companies I spent 5 weeks part time researching everything about roofs. Also as a teenager my family had build two houses where we where the general contractor so I had already had some knowledge of the building trades. I am trying to keep this evaluation short, otherwise no one will read it. (I could easily write 10 pages) I have not written evaluations on all the interviews with the other companies. Economic times are tough right now and I did not want to impact other companies. Let us say that most where average and some where a total disappointment. Estrada was in a league by itself. They listened to what you wanted and where willing to think outside the box. That is why I have a ridge vent on a clay tile roof. Not only did the Estrada company listen to this customer but they always responded promptly and courteously. Unlike other companies the Estrada's contractor and sales person was available throughout the entire installation process. It is critical that you have a direct contact with someone in the roofing company that you can communicate with to deal with any changes , problems etc. when the roof is being installed. If not you will be completely frustrated and not happy with the project. I knew I had problems with some of these other companies who had provided estimates when I could not get a hold of them for days and many calls. That was enough to turn me away from some of these other companies. I will leave you with a few more pertinent thoughts. If you are looking for a quality roofing company you do not have to look any further then ESTRADA. I don't think you can find any better. Communication is better with them then 90% of the companies I have dealt with in Florida. If something is wrong, they fix it and they do not nickel and dime you on their original estimate. Some companies will come in with a low estimate and by the time they are done with the job have increased their price by 20% with overcharges for trival problems. Estrada did not do that. I am happy that I chose Estrada and I know they stand behind their work. Final thoughts. I do not care what you are doing. Be your own advocate. Remember almost every company subcontracts some of their work. Keep your eye on what is happening and if something is not to your liking speak up. The difference is a exceptional company like ESTRADA will take care of any problems , a lessor company will give you an argument or look at a way to stick their hand deeper into your pockets. Also spend a little time looking at roofing materials and evaluating them. If you are doing an asphalt shingle roof check out consumer reports for their information. Hope this helps.
